You can also check out some of our soap making recipes to make your own soaps too. Now we can get started on making these five bath salt recipes!

The Benefits of Using a Bath Salt Recipe

If you have never used a bath salt before in your bath, then we will give you benefits that bath salts can provide to you. There are many natural minerals that are used in bath salts, and one of the benefits that you can get from using these is to draw out impurities from your skin. Also, if you are always working in outdoor environments, there are certain bath salts that you can make that will draw out different toxins, oil, and dirt from your skin. This will leave you with a sense of always feeling squeaky clean after every use. If you also have issues with blood circulation and are always feeling drained, then some bath salts can help circulate blood through your body.

Different Herbs that you Can Use in Your Bath Salt Recipe

Your options aren’t limited when it comes to the number of different herbs that you can use with your bath salts. Each herb contains its own share of benefits, and there are many available for you to use. One of the more popular herbs that you can use in your bath salts is lavender. Lavender, when used in bath salts, has been known to remove nervous tension, and relax the user. Another herb that can be used is rose petals. Rose petals have a natural oil that is secreted in warm water that keeps skin moisturized, soft, and glowing. There are many other herbs you can use and try to experiment with to create your own bath bomb recipe!

When you do this, the ingredients whether they be clays, enzymes, or charcoals; penetrate deep into your skin over time. You should know what kinds of skin issues you have before picking a face mask that will work for you. For example, if you have acne or harmful bacteria in your skin, then use Activated Charcoal to draw it out of your skin. You could also go the route of using sheet masks for sensitive skin, and will leave your skin feeling smooth.

Benefits of Using Calendula Flowers in your CosmeticsBenefits of Using Calendula Flowers in your Cosmetics

Calendula Flowers have been known to reduce muscle spasms and reduce fever symptoms in most people. When used in cosmetics, these flowers have been known to reduce inflammation and acne. You can also use these flowers in soap making recipes and lotion recipes. If you also have any burns, you can use soap that is made with Calendula to relieve the symptoms of the burn on your skin. A fun fact about Calendula is that it can also naturally color soap as well. So, if you don’t want to always have to stick to using soap colorant, then you can try this alternative out for yourself. So, if in the near future you are ever wanting to make a homemade DIY project that provides a lot of benefits for your body, then try using Calendula for yourself, and see how amazing you feel afterward.

Before you start making this Facial Mask for Acne Recipe, you want to clean and sanitize your work area. When you are making this recipe, it is recommended that you wear protective clothing, gloves, and a hair net. Working with a bunch of powders, it may also be in your best interest to want to wear a face mask .

Setting Up and Weighing out the Dry IngredientsSetting Up and Weighing out the Dry Ingredients

Grab a medium sized mixing bowl, and set it on the scale. Tare out the weight of the mixing bowl on the scale to zero grams. You want to weigh out the pomegranate fruit, papaya leaf, calendula flowers, and green tea powders. The order that you weigh these powders doesn’t matter.

Mixing the Dry Ingredients TogetherMixing the Dry Ingredients Together

After adding the previous powders, you then want to add 448 grams of the Rhassoul Clay Powder.  After adding the last powder, you want to mix all of the powders around in the bowl until they are evenly dispersed. If you don’t evenly disperse them, you may not get the full effect of the facial mask all around your face. There are two ways you can mix these. First, you could put on some gloves, and move the powders around with your hands until they are fully dispersed among each other. When you do this, it doesn’t hurt to take your fingers and break up any clumps in the powder. Second, you could take a fork or spoon, and sift through the powders.

Adding and Mixing the Wet Ingredients into the PowderAdding and Mixing the Wet Ingredients into the Powder

After mixing all of the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl, the next step is to add in the wet ingredients. The first wet ingredient to add to the facial mask mixture is the Vitamin E Oil. Vitamin E Oil is a natural oil that can protect your skin against sunburn damage, and can also be used to counteract inflammation. Use the disposable pipette to add the oil into the mixture. You want to fill up the pipette with the oil, then add 48 drops of the vitamin e oil to the dry mixture. Afterward, you want to dispose of the pipette and get a new one. With the new pipette, fill it with tea tree essential oil. You want to add 64 drops of the tea tree essential oil to the mixture.

Packaging the Dry Ingredients

When the oils are added to the mixture, thoroughly mix the ingredients together. You want to make sure that there are no clumps leftover in the mixture when you are done mixing it. Like before, it may also help to put on gloves, and go through with your hands afterward and break apart any clumps. The mixture should still be a powdery substance when you are done mixing. Now that the powdered portion is finished, scoop the mixture in the bowl into the four ounce jars. Then, you can close the lids on the jars. You should place a lid on each of the jars as you finish filling them. The lids should easily go on. If you notice that you’re trying to force the lid, remove a little bit of the facial mask mixture, and try again.

Packaging the Vegetable Glycerin

Next, you want to prepare seven 1 oz clear bullet bottles. When preparing these bottles, it wouldn’t hurt to put some decent space in between them to avoid knocking one of them over. In each of these bottles, you want to add 24 grams of vegetable glycerin. You can do this by placing each bullet bottle on a scale, and tare it out to zero. Then after taring the bullet bottle, you can fill up a new disposable pipette with vegetable glycerin and add it to the bottle. When all the bottles are properly filled, you want to place a white ribbed lid on each of the bottles. You should tightly secure the lids on the bottles. This will eliminate the possibility of any leaks.

Using the Facial Mask for Acne Recipe

Now that all of the ingredients are completely made, the next step is to use the facial mask. Before using the face mask, make sure to clean up your work area when you are done, as there are a lot of products that were used that could’ve gotten everywhere. To use the facial mask, you want to first get a small mixing bowl. In this small mixing bowl, you want to add one tablespoon of powder, two tablespoons of water, and about 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable glycerin. After adding these ingredients in the bowl, mix them well to get a complete consistency. After you are done mixing these ingredients together, the facial mask is ready to use and apply to your face.

A Side Note for this Recipe

As a side note, here at Nature’s Garden we choose to package the powder separately from the Vegetable Glycerin in our facial mask for acne recipe. Since we don’t have to create the mask with water, this will eliminate the need to add a preservative to it. The reason behind this is that microorganisms and bacteria thrive and live in water induced environments. To eliminate this threat when packaging the face masks, we use vegetable glycerin packaged separately instead, so preservatives aren’t needed. You customers can then mix up the facial masks as needed. This efficient solution will allow your customer to interact more with how they want their facial masks. They can add more water if they would like a thinner mask and less water to make a thicker consistency You can make about 8 facial masks from each of the 4 oz jars.

We hope that you enjoy your facial mask recipe, and all of the benefits that come along with using it. This recipe cuts deep into the skin, and as you can see it uses a lot of different powders. This recipe will absorb a lot of those harmful oils that cause acne on your face. The facial mask will also leave behind smooth skin where it was applied. This face mask will clear the skin on your face and have you looking fresh again.

Other Uses for Tea Tree Essential OilOther Uses for Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea Tree Essential Oil is a natural oil that is used in this facial mask for acne recipe, and there are many other uses for it besides for acne relief. This article called “How Does Tea Tree Oil Help the Skin?” goes in depth about different uses for this natural remedy. Tea Tree Oil is also a great natural oil to use on your hair and nails. If you ever have issues with dry, itchy skin, Tea Tree Oil on it to alleviate the itchiness. It is also known that Tea Tree Oil can be used to expedite the time that it takes wounds to heal. Benefits of Using Natural Rose Clay Powder in CosmeticsBenefits of Using Natural Rose Clay Powder in Cosmetics

Rose clay, otherwise known as pink clay, is a naturally occurring clay that contains kaolinite. Rose Clay Powder is used in cosmetics, soaps, facial masks, mud baths, and can also be used as a natural pink colorant for many foundations. Natural clay powders are usually used to absorb any impurities from the skin like dirt, makeup, and any oils. The reason why rose clay stands out from most other oils is that it has the natural tendency to strip all oils from the skin other than the skin’s natural oils. This is one of the reasons why rose clay was selected for this recipe, because it leaves the natural oils in the skin that are needed to keep the skin’s elasticity. Also, if you have sensitive skin, then rose clay is usually an excellent choice for this skin type, because it has a gentle cleansing action to it.

Make sure that your work area is clean and all of your packaging materials are clean too. This will make it so that no foreign substances make their way into your recipe. Any type of foreign substance can cause the recipe to not behave as intended. You can use soap and water to clean your work surface, as this will make sure that any other substances are picked up. When preparing this recipe, we suggest that you wear protective clothing, a hair net, and gloves. When making these recipes, your safety is always our top priority. There is no excuse as to not exercise safety first when making any type of recipe.

Weighing out and Mixing the PowdersWeighing out and Mixing the Powders

The first step is to make sure that your work surface is clean of any clutter to allow enough room to make the Facial Mask for Wrinkles Recipe. After this, grab a medium sized mixing bowl and a scale, and set the mixing bowl on top of the scale. Turn the scale on, and tare out the weight of the bowl. When the scale reads nearly zero grams, go ahead and begin weighing out the powders. You want to start by weighing out the pomegranate fruit powder, resveratrol powder, safflower powder, and carrot powder. These powders don’t need to be weighed in any particular order. It might also help to have a calculator or phone on hand to add up the weights as you add them to the bowl. This should help you keep track of how much weight you have in the bowl at any given time.

Adding and Mixing in the Rose Clay Powder and Vitamin E OilAdding and Mixing in the Rose Clay Powder and Vitamin E Oil

After mixing all of these powders together, the next powder to add is the Rose Clay Powder. You want to add 224 grams of this powder into the mixture. To make sure that the mixture gets thoroughly mixed together, you can add the powder in small increments and mix while you add. You want to make sure that all of the dry powders are completely mixed together, and they all form one uniform color. After the powders are all mixed, you want to grab an unused disposable pipette. Fill up the pipette with Vitamin E Oil. Carefully, drip 24 drops of the vitamin e oil into the mixture.

Adding in the Ginger Essential Oil

Dispose of the pipette that you used to drip the vitamin e oil into the mixture. This will alleviate any confusion in the future from using the same pipette again and contaminating any of your ingredients. Grab a new pipette and fill it with ginger essential oil. Carefully, start dripping 32 drops of the ginger essential oil into the mixture. After you dripped enough essential oil, dispose of the disposable pipette into the trash. Ginger essential oil is commonly used to reduce inflammation and rid toxins from out of the skin.

Final Mixing of the Powdered Portion of the RecipeFinal Mixing of the Powdered Portion of the Recipe

After all of the oils are added to the powder portion of the recipe, use a spoon or spatula to mix the powders. You want to make sure to break apart any clumps when mixing as to make sure that you have only a powder when you’re done. If you are having trouble breaking up the powder, then you can even go one step further and put on gloves, then break it up with your hands. After you are finished mixing the ingredients, the powdered portion of the Facial Mask for Wrinkles Recipe is now complete. The next step is to add the powdered portion into the four ounce jars.

Adding the Powdered Portion to the JarsAdding the Powdered Portion to the Jars

To add the powdered portion to the jars, it is usually recommended that you use a spoon to scoop it into the jars. So, get approximately 5-four ounce jars, and make room on the area that you are working on. Find a spoon and begin to scoop the powdered portion of the facial mask into the four ounce jars. Make sure you don’t pack it too tightly into the jar, as you want to be able to get it back out again. Also, don’t pack the jars too full, because you want to be able to lid them when you are done. Begin to screw the lids onto the jars. Make sure the lids are on securely to keep the powders from escaping. If you are looking to sell these facial masks, this will be the powdered portion that you would sell to your clients.

Weighing and Packaging the Wet Portion of the RecipeWeighing and Packaging the Wet Portion of the Recipe

Now that the dry powdered portion of the facial mask is finished, next is the wet portion. The wet portion of the facial mask gets added to the powdered portion to make the facial mask. First, let’s clear off an area in your work space to setup the 1 oz. clear bullet bottles. Set up one bullet bottle for each of the four ounce jars that you made. Grab a new disposable pipette and fill it up with vegetable glycerin. One by one, put the bullet bottle on the scale, and tare out its weight. Then, keep adding vegetable glycerin to each of the bullet bottles until they read 12 grams. Add a white ribbed lid to each of the bottles. Now the wet portion of the face mask is ready to sell or use.

How to Use and Mix the Facial Mask

Now that all the parts of your facial mask are complete, the last step is to use the Facial Mask for Wrinkles Recipe. The first thing you need to do to use your facial mask is to get a small mixing bowl. The ratio that you want to mix in the bowl is a tablespoon of powder, two tablespoons of water, and about half a teaspoon of vegetable glycerin. You should use the disposable pipette to add the vegetable glycerin. This will eliminate the possibility of any mess occurring from pouring the substance. There are roughly 57 drops to make half a teaspoon, or about 3/4 of the bulb on the end of our disposable pipettes sold at Natures Garden.

A Side Note for the Recipe…

As a side note, here at Nature’s Garden we choose to package the powder separately from the Vegetable Glycerin. Since we don’t have to create the mask with water, this will eliminate the need to add a preservative to it. The reason behind this is that microorganisms and bacteria thrive and live in water induced environments. To eliminate this threat when packaging the face masks, we use vegetable glycerin instead, so preservatives aren’t needed to be added to kill off any harmful bacteria. Using this solution will also allow you to prepare a quick product for your customers. This efficient solution will allow your customer to interact more with how they want their facial masks. You can make about 8 facial masks from each of the 4 oz jars.

We hope that you enjoy our Facial Mask for Wrinkles Recipe! This recipe’s sole purpose is to help restore your skin to its natural, youthful state. You will look many years younger after applying this facial mask to your skin. You won’t believe the results when you are done. Different Types of Facial MasksDifferent Types of Facial Masks

Another facial mask that is more firm are the clay facial masks. These face masks are packed with antioxidants and collagen to help restore your skin. Dreama Lotion Recipe: Lotion Making Preparations

Before you begin the Dreama scented lotion recipe, you will want to make a few preparations. To begin, you will want to gather your lotion recipe ingredients. It can be useful to collect what you need before making your bath and body product to make the process easier. Also, sanitize your equipment to make sure your work area is clean. Further, it is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while you prepare this recipe. After you have made these preparations, you will be ready to work on making this homemade lotion recipe!

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Prepare Your Water

First, you are going to want to prepare the water for this recipe. Before you begin, you will need to make sure that you have enough water to make your homemade lotion. This means that you will need at 425 grams of water. However, we would recommend that you add some extra water to your pot to ensure that you have enough water remaining after boiling. Some of the water will evaporate as it is boiling. It is better to have too much than not enough. You will need to heat the water to at least 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Once you have your water at this temperature keep the water there for about twenty minutes. Now that your water has been boiled to destroy any bacteria that may have been present, you are ready to create your scented lotion recipe!

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Creating the Double Boiler

Next, you are going to want to create the double boiler for this recipe. While you will still need to stir as the oils and butters are melting, the double boiler will be useful for preventing your cosmetic oils from scorching. To create this device you will need two pots that will fit into each other. In the larger pot, you will add a few inches of water, which will be heated to a boil. Next, place your smaller pot into your pot with water. Now, you will want to heat your water. As long as the water doesn’t boil over into the smaller pot, you are ready to add you cosmetic ingredients to melt.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Prepare Your Cosmetic OilsDreama Lotion Recipe: Prepare Your Cosmetic Oils

While you are waiting for your water to be ready, go ahead and weigh out your oils.  You will need to measure out 48 grams of the Meadowfoam Seed Oil, 24 grams of the Silky Emulsifying Wax, 10 grams of the Mango Butter, 8 grams of the Sodium Lactate, 10 grams of the Argan Oil, and 6 grams of the Vitamin E Oil. These wholesale ingredients are perfect for creating a quality and non-greasy homemade lotion. Then, add these cosmetic oils to the double boiler that you had prepared in a previous step. You are going to want to heat these ingredients to around 140 degrees Fahrenheit and stir periodically to prevent scorching.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Combining Your Oil and WaterDreama Lotion Recipe: Combining Your Oil and Water

Now you are going to want to move quickly to over the next couple of steps. Both your oil mixture and your water will need to be around 140 degrees Fahrenheit when you mix everything together. Once your ingredients reach about this temperature, weigh out your water.  Then, combine these bath and body ingredients in a large mixing bowl. You will need to use a stick blender to combine all of these ingredients. As the mixture emulsifies, you will notice that the lotion mixture will begin to white in color.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Fragrance OilDreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Fragrance Oil

At this time, you will need to add 12 grams of the Dreama Fragrance Oil to your mixture. This scented oil has beautiful top notes of oakmoss and lilies. This floral scent continues with middle notes of ylang ylang and jasmine. Finally, this fragrance lays on bottom notes of amber, musk, and sandalwood. Of course, you will need to fully incorporate the fragrance oil. You can use the stick blender to ensure that the entire lotion mixture will include this lovely scent.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the PreservativeDreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Preservative

Next, you will want to add the preservative to your homemade lotion recipe. You will need to weigh out 10 grams of the Optiphen Preservative and add it to your lotion mixture. You want to add the preservative when the temperature is between 120-140F.  If the preservative is added at a temperature higher than this, it can burn off.  On the other hand, if it is added a temperature that is too low, it can cause it to separate from the lotion.

The preservative will ensure that your lotion recipe doesn’t become taken over by germs. This preservative protects against bacteria, yeast, and mold. Plus, this ingredient provides an exceptional feel to the finished lotion recipe. Plus, the wholesale preservative available at Natures Garden is paraben-free and formaldehyde-free.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the ColorantDreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Colorant

Also, you are going to want to add the wholesale colorant to your lotion. So, you will need to add 5 drops of the Yellow Da Bomb Soap Dye to your diy lotion. Once you have added your lotion colorant, you will want to fully incorporate this color into your lotion. You can use the stick blender to blend in the color evenly throughout your recipe so that the entire lotion includes a lovely yellow hue.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Mica PigmentDreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Mica Pigment

Lastly, you are going to want to add a bit of the mica dust pigment to your lotion. You may want to add 1 teaspoon of the Diamond Dust Mica Pigment. Of course, this is totally optional.  However, mica will add a shimmer and shine to your handmade lotion. Again, once you have added the mica, you are going to want to add it to your lotion and mix with the stick blender.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Wholesale Packaging SuppliesDreama Lotion Recipe: Wholesale Packaging Supplies

For this cosmetic recipe, you have created a perfect homemade lotion for pump bottle use. So, you will most likely want to use our eight ounce bullet bottles and lotion pumps to package your finished scented lotion recipe. A single batch of this lotion recipe will fill two of our eight ounce bullet bottles. Before you begin to fill the bullet bottles you will need your lotion to cool to room temperature. Then, you are ready to begin filling your eight ounce bullet bottles with the finished lotion. We would recommend that you use a funnel to add your lotion to the bottles. Once your bottle is filled you will need to add the lotion pump lid to finish the recipe.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Finishing TouchesDreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Finishing Touches

Now that you have filled up your bullet bottles, you are ready to add the finishing touches. So, you are going to add a bow to the middle of your bottle. First, you are going to need your green ribbon. Next, you will need to tie a small bow. If you need help learning to tie a bow, then check out How to Tie a Perfect Bow by spruce crafts. Then, you will glue a ring of ribbon around the middle of the bottle and attach your bow to the seam where the two ends meet.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Using Your Scented Lotion

After your recipe is packaged, your scented lotion recipe is ready to use! In fact, you can use your lotion made from scratch as soon as you have finished creating it. Of course, you can leave your lotion pump lids closed and store your finished lotion. Also, you can add these bottles of lotion to your product line and sell your finished homemade lotion. Regardless of how you intend to use your easy homemade lotion, this bath and body recipe will be sure to nourish your skin and leave you feeling conditioned.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Clean and Prepare

First, you should be aware that this bath and body recipe is best prepared in non-humid climates. While you can try to make a bath bomb recipe in a more humid environment, it may take longer for your finished product to set up and completely harden.

Also, you should clean up your workspace and bath bomb making supplies before you begin to work on your diy bath recipe. First of all, washing your equipment will help to prevent you from accidentally getting your bath bomb recipe dirty. Plus, cleaning up your workspace will give you more space to work that is clean and ready to use. So, creating your yummy candy scented bath bombs will be easier and lead to a cleaner product.

Also, you will want to use disposable gloves for this bath bomb recipe. Wearing gloves will allow you to use your hands to mix your bath and body ingredients. So, it will be easier to mix your cosmetic ingredients thoroughly and evenly. Plus, wearing gloves will help you to keep your cosmetic recipe clean as you are mixing your bath bomb ingredients.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Preparing the Bottle of Witch Hazel

Before you begin creating this homemade bath bomb recipe, you will need to prepare a bottle of witch hazel. The bottle of witch hazel will be used towards the end of the process. Then, screw on the spray bottle lid. Now, you can set this spray bottle aside until you need it at a later step.

Once you have your measured amount of the baking soda, you will need to break up any clumps in this cosmetic ingredient. We would suggest that you use your clean, gloved hands to break up all of the clumps you find. Once this cosmetic powder is completely smooth and free of any clumps, you can move on to the next step.

Next, you are going to separate your bath bomb mixture into three equal portions. So, you will want two additional mixing bowls to move your bath bomb mixture into. Once you have these portions separated, you are going to color each of these three portions evenly.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Coloring the Neon Green PortionLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Coloring the Neon Green Portion

First, grab one of your three even portions of bath bomb mixture. You are going to make this portion a vivid green color. So, add 25 drops of the Neon Green FUN Soap Colorant to this mixing bowl. First, you are going to want to separate your green colored bath recipe into two equal portions. You will be able to create two bath bombs with this cosmetic recipe. Now, you are going to need to grab two lollipop charms to put in the center of the bath bomb recipe. You will want to take one of the portions of your activated green bath bomb recipe to pack around one of these cute charms. So, use your hands to tightly pack half of the green bath bomb mixture around your lollipop charm. Next, use the other green colored bath bomb portion to tightly pack around the other lollipop charm. Now, set both of these small, green bath bombs aside for now.

Now that your bath bomb mixture is at the right consistency, you are ready to add the second layer. First, you will need to divide the orange bath mixture in half. After, spray one of your small, green bath bombs. Then, you can begin to pack the orange mixture around the bath bomb. You will pack on the orange mixture like you would build a snowball. You will want to cover all of the green layer, so be careful not to make this layer too thick. Next, you will want to spray and build on the other green bath bomb as well.

Then, you are going to add the last layer to your bath bomb recipe. So, you are going to need to add the witch hazel to your pink bath recipe mixture. Finally, you are ready to add the last layer to your bath bomb recipe. So, you will need to spray the orange bath bomb. Then, you will need to separate the mixture into two portions. Now, you can pack the pink bath bomb mixture around the orange layer.  Again, you are going to need to pack the layer tightly and be careful not to make the layer too thick. Once the pink layer completely covers the orange layer, repeat the process of spraying and packing with the other bath bomb.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Clean and Sanitize

First of all, we would like to let you know that this bath recipe is best prepared in non-humid climates. While you can try to make this cosmetic recipe in a more humid environment, it may take longer for these bath fizzies to set up and completely harden.

Also, you should clean up your work space and bath bomb making supplies before you begin to work on your diy bath recipe. First of all, washing your craft supplies will help to prevent you from accidentally getting your cosmetic recipe dirty. Plus, cleaning up your work space will give you more space to work that is clean and ready to use. So, creating your sweet cotton candy scented bath bombs will be easier and lead to a cleaner product.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Before Making Your Bath Bomb

Before you begin this fun bath and body recipe, you will need to prepare a bottle of witch hazel. This bottle of witch hazel will be used later on in the process. This witch hazel will be used to activate the bath fizzy mixture before you fill the bath bombs. So, you will want to fill up your 8 oz bullet bottle with witch hazel. Then, screw on the spray bottle lid. Now, you can set this spray bottle aside until you need it at a later step.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Weighing the Baking SodaCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Weighing the Baking Soda

First, you are going to want to weigh out 460 grams of the Baking Soda powder. Then, you will want to add this cosmetic ingredient to your medium sized mixing bowl. Once you have your measured amount of baking soda, you will need to break up any clumps in this cosmetic ingredient. We would suggest that you use your clean, gloved hands to break up any of these clumps. Once the baking soda powder is completely smooth and free of any clumps, you are ready to move on to the next step.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Adding Cosmetic Clay and Citric AcidCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Adding Cosmetic Clay and Citric Acid

After your baking soda is free of clumps, you are going to want to add the remaining cosmetic ingredients to your medium mixing bowl. So, you will need to add 350 grams of the Citric Acid as well as 10 grams of the Bentonite Clay Powder. Then, you will use your gloved hands to mix these three dry cosmetic ingredients together. After these bath bomb ingredients are mixed together well, you are ready to move on to the next step of this process.

Cotton Candy Fragrance OilCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Adding the Fragrance Oil

Next, we are going to be adding the delicious aroma of our Cotton Candy Fragrance Oil to the bath bomb recipe. This scented oil has an aroma that blends the scent of fresh, juicy strawberries and scrumptious notes of French vanilla. You will need to weigh out 14 grams of this yummy wholesale fragrance oil. Then, you will add this scented oil to your cosmetic mixture. After, you will mix the sugary sweet aroma of this fragrance oil with your cosmetic ingredients. You can use your gloved hands to mix this scent fully into your cosmetic ingredients.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring Your Cosmetic Recipe

Now that your cosmetic ingredients are mixed together, you are ready to color your bath recipe. So, you are going to want to separate your bath bomb mixture into two equal portions. Once you have two mixing bowls that each contain half of the total cosmetic mixture, you are ready to add the cosmetic colorants to each of your bath bomb mixtures. Since pink and blue are two of the most iconic cotton candy colors, we are going to use these two colors for this bath and body recipe!

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Pink PortionCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Pink Portion

Next, you are going to need to grab one of the two bowls that contain half of the mixture portion. This half of the mixture is going to be the pink half of your finished bath bomb. In order for you to get a pretty pink color, you will need to add the neon pink FUN Soap Colorant to this bath bomb mixture. You will want to add a few drops of this colorant and mix everything together. After the colorant is mixed in, you can decide whether you need to add a few more drops of the colorant. After adding this cosmetic colorant to your mixture, you will use your gloved hands to fully mix the colorant into your other cosmetic ingredients until you have an even pink color.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Blue PortionCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Blue Portion

Now, you are ready to color the remaining portion of your total bath and body mixture. First, you are going to need to change your gloves to avoid accidentally mixing in the pink colorant from the previous portion. After you have clean gloves, you will be ready to mix in the Neon Blue FUN Soap Colorant. You will want to mix in a few drops of this cosmetic colorant into your mixture until you have an even blue color. Then, you can decide whether you want to add more colorant to get a brighter, more vivid blue color.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Activating Your Mixture

Now that both halves of your cosmetic mixtures are scented and colored, you are ready to activate your bath bomb mixtures. For each of these two mixtures, you will need the bottle of witch hazel that you have previously prepared. Then, lightly spray the witch hazel into the bowl and mix the ingredients together with your gloved hands. You will want to continue to spray and mix until you have a consistency of crumbly dough. You will need to be careful not to spray too much witch hazel, as you could potentially activate the bath bomb mixture in the bowl. After one of the mixture portions are at the right consistency, you will need to repeat this step with the other portion.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Filling the Bath Bomb Molds

Next, you are ready to fill up your bath bomb molds. You will want to firmly press the bath bomb mixture into the bath bomb mold. Once the bath bomb mixture is pressed tightly into the mold, you can fill all the remaining bath bomb mold halves. After you have filled all the halves with the pink, you will want to repeat the process with the blue mixture.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Note for Filling the Molds

For each bath bomb mold you are going to want to have half pink and half blue. So, you will want to pay attention to which side of the bath bomb mold that you are filling. We would suggest filling the tops of your mold with the pink color and the bottom of the bath bomb mold with the blue color. This method of filling your cosmetic molds will help to make sure that you don’t end up with a bath bomb that is only one color.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Putting Together Your Bath Bomb Molds

Now that all of your bath bomb halves are completely filled and packed tightly, you are ready to combine the top and bottom of your bath bombs! So, you will need a pink half and a blue half. Each of these two halves will need to be lightly sprayed with witch hazel. Then, you will need to press these two halves together until you can tell that the bath bomb mold snaps shut. You will need to repeat this step with the other bath bomb mold halves until you have about four complete bath fizzies.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Finishing Up Your Bath Bomb

Before you can remove your bath fizzies from the mold, you need to wait for them to set up completely. If your recipe hasn’t completely hardened before you remove them from the mold, then they may break or even crumble. So, you will want to wait until the fizzies are hard, which can take a few days to a week. The time it takes will depend on the level of humidity in your area. Once your bath and body recipes have hardened, you are ready to use your bath fizzies! If you aren’t ready to use the cotton candy bath fizzies right away, then you can even leave them in the mold for a simple packaging idea!

Cucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Prepare and Sanitize

Before you get started on making your homemade bath and body recipe, you will want to make sure that you are properly prepared. First, you will need to make sure that all the equipment that you will need is sanitized and ready for you to use. If any of your necessary equipment isn’t ready to use, then you will need to clean this equipment with soap and water. Also, you will need to make sure that your work space is clean and free of clutter. Another preparation that you will want to make is gathering all of your necessary ingredients. This will make the process of creating homemade lotion easier and even more fun! Once your ingredients, equipment, and work space are ready to use, then you will be ready to get started with this bath and body recipe.

Cucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Double BoilerCucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Double Boiler

The last thing that you are going to want to set up before getting started with your cosmetic recipe is your double boiler. Anyone that already has a double boiler can move on to starting this cosmetic recipe. If you don’t already have a double boiler of your own, then you can make your own with supplies that you likely already have at your home. You will need to use two differently sized pots to create your double boiler. You will want to make sure that the smaller pot will fit into the larger pot. So, you can use the larger pot to hold the boiling water. Then, place your smaller pot inside the larger pot. You will need to make sure that the water won’t boil over. Once your water is boiling you will fill your smaller pot with the cosmetic ingredients that you need to melt.

Cucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Preparing the Water Phase

First, you are going to prepare the water phase for your homemade conditioner. Before you weigh out the water for your cosmetic recipe, you will want to boil the water to kill germs. So, you will need to start with at least 850 grams of distilled water. It is important to have extra water before you begin boiling because some of the water will evaporate. You will need to heat your water to at least 180 degrees Fahrenheit and hold this high temperature for at least 20 minutes. This will help you to destroy any bacteria that could be in the water.

Preparing the Water Phase: Add the Chickweed HerbPreparing the Water Phase: Add the Chickweed Herb

Now, we are going to create a tea using the chick weed herb.  This is just one way to infuse an herb into handmade lotions.  So, we will create a strong tea.  Fill three tea bags with the chickweed herb.  You will need about 3 tablespoons of the herb for each tea bag.  Then, add them to your water as it is boiling.  Chick weed herb is a wonderful herb that is wonderful for dry itchy skin.  American Indians were known for using chickweed for wounds and rashes.  Many use it to help with skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and boils.  Chickweed helps with cell-proliferation.  This helps wounds heal faster.

Cucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Preparing the Oil PhaseCucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Preparing the Oil Phase

Next, you are going to be preparing the oil phase of your refreshing body cream recipe. So, you are going to need to weigh out some of your cosmetic oils. You will need to use 16 grams of Stearic Acid, 48 grams of the Emulsifying Wax, 80 grams of Argan Oil, 36 grams of Lanolin Oil, and 20 grams of Cocoa Butter. After you have your ingredients measured, you will be ready to begin melting your scented lotion ingredients. Now, you can add all of these cosmetic supplies to your smaller pot. You will want to occasionally stir your ingredients as they are melting to avoid possible scorching. Once all of your body cream supplies are in a fluid state, you are ready to move on to the next step.

Cucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Weighing the Sterilized WaterCucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Weighing the Sterilized Water

Once your water has been boiling for at least 20 minutes you will be ready to use your freshly sterilized water. Now, you can remove your water from the heat source, remove the tea bags, and weigh out 706 grams of your sterilized water. You can add this water to your medium mixing bowl. While you need to wait before mixing the cosmetic oils and water, you can move on to the next step in this bath and body recipe.

Cucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Mixing Your Oil and Water TogetherCucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Mixing Your Oil and Water Together

Before you can mix your cosmetic oils with your prepared tea you need to make sure that these two phases are at the right temperature. The temperature is extremely important to ensure that the cosmetic ingredients emulsify with the water. Otherwise, your finished product will separate and not serve as a good lotion recipe. These two phases should each be at about 140 degrees Fahrenheit before combining the two. Also, you will want these phases to be no more than 10 degrees apart. You can use your candy thermometer to monitor the temperatures. Once you have the correct temperature, you can add both the water and oil to a larger mixing bowl. Then, you can use a stick blender to combine these two phases well. If you notice that your mixture is beginning to turn white as you continue to blend, then you will know that your mixture is emulsifying.

Cucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Adding the Remaining Cosmetic IngredientsCucumber Mint Body Cream Recipe: Adding the Remaining Cosmetic Ingredients

Now that the water and cosmetic oils have been completely emulsified, you are going to want to let your mixture cool. So, you will want to monitor the temperature until it reaches about 120 degrees Fahrenheit. You will want to be careful that you don’t go any lower than this temperature before you add your remaining cosmetic ingredients. Now you will need to weigh and add 10 grams of the Vitamin E Oil, 14 grams of the Optiphen Preservative, and 12 grams of the Cucumber Mint Fragrance Oil to your mixture. Again, you will want to use a stick blender to mix these newly added ingredients into your previously emulsified mixture.
