Other Ingredients & Equipment You'll Need:
Mixing Spoon
Scale
Pot (for double boiler)
Raffia
Hot Glue Gun and Stick
Seashells (2)

Step 1:  Prepare your molds.  You will need 2 round pillar molds.  We created one 3 x 4.5 inch and one 3 x 6.5 inch candle.  Thread a wick through the hole in the bottom of each of the molds.  Then, you can place a plug in the bottom of the molds.  Alternatively, you can use hot glue to completely seal the hole.  We used HTP-73 wicks.

Step 2:  First, weigh out and melt 475 grams of the Pillar of Bliss Wax.  Melt it to 195F.  Also, add a small amount of the magenta color block.  You will use about 1 gram of the color block.  You want to add enough of the color block to create a light magenta color.  Stir to fully blend the candle colorant.

Step 3:  Once melted, allow the temperature to drop to 185F.  Add 47 grams of the Beachwood Vetiver Fragrance Oil.  Stir.

Step 4:  Pour the wax once the temperature reaches 175F.  Fill the mold ¾ of the way.  Allow the wax to set up at room temperature.  Poke relief holes.

Step 5:  Melt the remaining wax to 165F.  Then, fill the remainder of the mold.  Allow the candle to set up.  Remove the candle from the mold.

Step 6:  Next, weigh out and melt 615 grams of the Pillar of Bliss Wax.  Melt it to 195F.  Also, add a small amount of the magenta color block.  You will use about 3 grams of the color block.  Add enough of the color block to create a dark magenta color.  Stir to fully blend the candle colorant.

Step 7:  Once melted, allow the temperature to drop to 185F.  Add 61 grams of the Beachwood Vetiver Fragrance Oil.  Stir.

Step 8:  Pour the wax once the temperature reaches 175F.  Fill the mold ¾ of the way.  Allow the wax to set up at room temperature.  Poke relief holes.

Step 9:  Melt the remaining wax to 165F.  Then, fill the remainder of the mold.  Allow the candle to set up.  Remove the candle from the mold.  Trim the wicks at the bottom of the candle.  Place a warning label on each candle.

Step 10:  Place raffia around each candle and hot glue a seashell to the knot of the raffia.  Note:  While we have added the raffia as a decorative touch, it should be removed prior to burning.  Once cured, the candles are ready to be used.

We hope that you enjoy the Beachwood Vetiver Candles!
