Nice but very light scent in CP

Straight out of the bottle this FO has a very plastic, chemical smell. After a six week cure it turns into a very light, sweet, almond-y scent with only a very, very minor trace of plastic. (My usage rate is 4% FO in terms of oils used CP) I think it may be better in a blend. What I do like about this FO is it has zero discoloration and does not accelerate.

This fragrance is gorgeous. Smells like Snow Cakes by Lush. OOB it can smell slightly odd, but once put into your products it blooms. It is a softly sweet almost powdery scent. Behaves well in cold process soap. One of my best sellers during the holidays.

Worked for Me

Although this scent had quite a few negative reviews, I decided to risk it as I typically enjoy almond scents. I made scented candles with this aroma and was not disappointed!

Not Almond Marzipan but Very Pretty

5 Almond Marzipan Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Chicago, IL USA

At first I agreed with the earlier reviews. I thought it smelled like plastic and soap solution and maybe a hint of something else but I had to literally put the bottle up under my nose and sniff real hard just to get any other scent out of it. What a waste! But then a couple days later I was picking scents to make soap out of and I re-smelled this one and I finally got it! It is a very delicate scent; very pretty and light and fragile. This will be my go to almond scent because I don't really like almond scents but this is a very pretty scent with just a hint of almond. It reminds me more of a perfume - like scent than a bakery scent. I don't like using bakery scented soaps but I would definitely shower with this scent if that makes any sense. If it works well in cold process soap I am renaming it and adding it to my line! Anyways I will definitely be repurchasing this even if it is just to use in bath and body products because I love how pretty it smells!

I have been searching for a Marzipan scent for a long time. It was what drew me to this site after a google search. And I have to say it was the only product I've purchased from them that was truly disappointing. It just smells like plastic. A little hint of almond. but overall just plastic. I thought it was just the smell out of the bottle so I made a small batch of lotion and even a candle. I had to toss them. Maybe their other almond scents will be better but I'm scared to try.

Doesn't smell very nice out of the bottle

I just got my first shipment of NG fragrances today, I was excited about this one, but this one disappointed me the most. I haven't used it in a creation yet (I'll be making oatmeal soap with it though) so for now it gets 3 stars. I hope that during creation the smell blooms in a nicer way. Smelling the bottle , it smells like liquid bubble solution.

Interesting Fragrance

4 Almond Marzipan Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from TX US

It smells nice but I just wasn't crazy about it. However, I blended it with a chocolate fragrance I have and it smelled amazing! This is definitely one that I will keep to blend with others. Fragrance behaved well in CP soap with no acceleration or discoloration. Good scent retention.

great in cp

I accidently added the wrong fragrance to my soap batter but after the cure, I am sure glad I did. This fragrance really comes out. A creamy, rich, yummy scent this fragrance was easy to soap and gave me lots of time for my swirl. Can't say about discoloration since all of the batter was colored.

Loved the scent- Poor Hot Throw

3 Almond Marzipan Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from New York, NY US

Made some soy candles with the GB 444 wax using 1oz FO to a pound and got a good cold throw but the hot throw was weak. I love the fragrance so I will try again with 1.5oz and a longer cure time. I also made some wax melts and hope those have a better throw. But the fragrance itself gets 5 stars!!

Extremely Unique

5 Almond Marzipan Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Birmingham, AL US

Received this on an aroma bud. It has many layers to it. I smell the black currant, vanilla and mild touch of almond first. Then I smell the other notes described. The combination is incredible. It's a soft, pretty scent. If you are looking for a marzipan paste scent then this is not it. This is a unique scent that I will add to my fragrance line. One of the best new scents from NG in a long time
