I bought the red dye and it is the best dye ive used up
to now. You have to add maybe 10 drops and you get
a beautiful red color. I use Soy464 wax.
Thank you,

I have not been able to achieve red with this dye, only various shades of pink.
I followed the instructions to make red apple wax melts, which is 6 drops of dye per 4 lbs of wax. I was only using 10 ounces of wax, which is not even a full pound, and I used 5 drops of dye. The color came out to be a medium pink color. Definitely not red at all. I have wasted a lot of materials by having my wax melts turn out pink.

I used this dye to color my soy wax candles and it was perfect. I used a few drops of this and just a hint of black and it worked like a charm. Thanks NG! You're wonderful!

Very concentrated red dye for candles. Using a small amount will provide you with a nice pink colored candle. Using more will achieve a vibrant red color. Best dyes I have found for my candles.

I honestly don't know why most of these reviews say they have a hard time getting red-- I've never had any trouble with this dye! It's also important to keep in mind when working with red dye that, even if it's highly concentrated, red dye is simply not as potent as other dyes so you'll inevitably have to use more than if you used blue.

Making Mulled Cider candles. Directions for the coloring indicated I should use 6 drops red and 2 brown for 4 pounds of wax. Since I was using only 2 pounds of wax, I used half of the prescribed amount. The color was not as deep as I wanted. Will have to try another batch, using more dye to achieve the color I thought it should be.

I am tired of loosing money with this dye. I have tried everything and the color is pink. How can you make PINK apple cinnamon candles. It's suppose to be red! Why do they advertise red when it never comes out red. I will never buy this dye color again!

I really love these liquid dyes. The only problem (aside from the funky smell that everyone on here laments) is that the dang red will not come out RED no matter how much or how little i add to the wax. its always dark pinkish or maroon or something. Has anyone else had trouble getting true RED? I'm about to lose my mind over here. I've even tried adding varying levels of tiny bits of yellow to offset the pinky tone and my red looks nothing like the nice candy apple RED shown in the example photo here. HELP!
