Tips for using our Guar Gum Powder:
Here are some tips and uses for our guar gum:
- As an ingredient in homemade soaps for better emulsions or as a whitening agent
- Added to lotions, ointments, and creams as an emulsifier and thickener
- Added to natural toothpaste recipes
- Added to shampoos and conditioners to increase viscosity
- Only a small amount is needed to increase the viscosity of a product (.5%-1%)
- Adding guar gum too fast or in large amounts at one time will cause it to clump and unevenly gel
- Guar gum should not be used in recipes containing calcium or borax
