Suggested usage of flavoring oil in lip balms range from 0.4-1.95% in the finished product. If you require that your product is sweetened, add powdered stevia extract with maltodextrin. Stevia powdered extract with maltodextrin is an all-natural sweetener that mixes nicely with lip balm base without producing the excessive gritty feeling that most sweeteners produce.
It's important to note that flavoring oils and fragrance oils are two different things, and flavoring oils must be regulated by the FDA since they are designed to be consumed. All of the ingredients in our flavoring oils are considered GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by the FDA.
