I am new to candles, so I don't have a lot to compare these to. So far so good.

I've purchased these in 7, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 22.
I use GF Soy Wax 464 and I find them to be excellent. Sometimes I get mushrooming, sometimes I don't. Largely depends on how much FO I use. More FO, more mushrooming. The right size in the right container in a well made candle, these work very well. I recommend.
If your melt pool is too small, go up a size or two. If your wax is melting too fast, go down a size, or pick a different container. Take notes. Make candles. Always make a test candle before making a giant batch of candles.

Used them with the joy wax. They burn a little too fast. But overall they work better than any others that I've tried.

I am using joy wax and found these wicks to work well. They do burn a bit fast and I have experienced some mushrooming, but even Yankee Candle wicks mushroom. Is it really that big of deal? CD14 and CD16 wicks work just fine in my containers with 3+ inch diameter. Any suggestions on how to stop these wicks from mushrooming? I trim them to 1/4 inch with each burn.

I use CD-10 with Joy Wax in 8oz. and 16oz. Mason jars and they burn well. Clean the jars all the way down. I have experienced mushrooming and sometimes they "pop" and throw burned pieces of wick into the wax but they burn so well I'm afraid to change to another wick.

I have gone through many, many frustrations recently. I had 'the perfect wick' but ran out and I forgot to make note of which one and which size it was. Since then I have been failing every which way. One wick curls, one wick just isn't big enough even in the largest size.... FINALLY... I'm going to do what I wish someone had done for me, which is give specifics.
I used Soy 444. I used jelly jars [8oz] and mayo jars [16oz] ... using this guideline for the wick did me no favors. I ended up using a 20 wick for the 16oz and an 18 for the 8oz. It burns lovely, minimal mushrooming, burns clean to the edge of the candle rather than tunneling like many of the test subjects beforehand.
Just test, buy as many samples as you want, but test test test.. I've wasted so much money in wicks as well as return candles from failed wicks.

I noticed these wicks got low reviews, however, I love these wicks. Ive tried Hemps, Zinc, HTP's, and my pick are these. I have a wonderful scent throw, hot and cold, good melt pool all the way across and burns slow. I use mason jars, jelly jars with good results. To me, testing is the key. Ive spent a lot of money on different wicks, wasted a lot of money throwing out wax, and much frustration. These are a keeper! Love 'em

Slow burn, clean (no shrooming yet!), and a full melt pool! Used CD 12 in 3.25 inch diameter container with joy wax.

When I went to use my wicks for my candle orders, I found that a majority of the wicks were bent, wax was broken or they were just so crumpled up that I had to throw a bunch out. Then I got the bright idea to use a lighter to melt the wax overlay. While that helped, it was a BIG waste of my time when I needed to do orders. Maybe a better method for packaging would help?
