Other items you will need:
Stainless Steel Spoon
Stove
Measuring Utensil
Scale
Pot (for double boiler method)
60 grams Soy Wax 464 (can be swapped with 60 grams of Joy Wax)
142 grams Rice Bran Oil
30 grams Glitter Fragrance Oil
1/2 tsp 24K Gold Mica (or any Spectrum Color Dye)
Step 1: Weigh out
the grams of Soy Wax 464 into your pouring pot. Using the double boiler method as described
in one of our classes, melt wax on low on the stove until the wax is completed
liquefied.
Step 2: Next, weigh out the Glitter Fragrance oil. Also get your
Mica ready.
Step 3: Once your wax is in a liquid
state, add the fragrance oil and stir well.
Then, add the mica and stir once again.
Step 4: Weigh out the Rice Bran
Oil. Once your wax has been scented and
colored, add the Rice Bran Oil. Stir
well to incorporate fully.
Step 5: Using your thermometer, wait
until the temperature of your mixture is between 140-150 degrees. Once the mixture is at the appropriate
temperature, slowly pour the liquid into your Boston round bottle. Let set.
Step 6: Once the temperature on the
outside of the bottle
is cool to the touch,
you may add the disc top lids.
To Use: Simply squeeze the gel into your
oil burner.
Please note: It is a personal choice as
to whether you use a Natural Wax or a Para-soy blend. The
soy wax in this recipe can easily be substituted for joy wax. The same is true for the colorant as
well. If you choose to use the Spectrum
Candle Dye, our testing shows 1 drop is all you need to color the mixture.
