Layered Pillar Candle Kit

Making our Layered Pillar Candle:

Here's what you'll get in this wax tart starter kit:

Other Ingredients & Equipment You'll Need: Mixing Spoons, Scale, Pots (for double boiler), Hot Glue Gun/Sticks.

Directions:

1. Prepare your mold.  You will need the 3 x 4.5 inch round pillar mold.  Thread a CD wick through the hole in the bottom of the mold.  Then, you can place a plug in the bottom of the molds.  Alternatively, you can use hot glue to completely seal the hole. 
2. First, weigh out and melt 150 grams of the sustainable Palm Pillar Wax.  Melt it to 210F using a double boiler.  
3. Once melted, let the temperature drop to 200F.  Add 15 grams of the All Snuggled Up Fragrance Oil.  Stir.  Pour the candle wax into your pillar mold.  Pour slowly in the center of the mold so that it does not splash on the edges. Allow the wax to set up.
4. Prepare your next layer.  Weigh out and melt 100 grams of the Palm Pillar Wax.  Add just a small amount of the Navy Blue Color Block.  You are looking to achieve an ice blue color.  Melt the wax to 210F.  Then, let the temperature drop to 200F.  Add 10 grams of the All Snuggled Up Fragrance Oil.  Stir.  Pour the wax into the mold.  Allow the wax to set up.
5. Weigh out and melt 30 grams of the Palm Pillar Wax to 210F.  Once melted, let the temperature drop to 200F.  Add 3 grams of the All Snuggled Up Fragrance Oil.  Stir.  Pour the wax into the mold.  Allow the wax to set up.
6. Prepare your next layer.  Weigh out and melt 100 grams of the Palm Pillar Wax.  Add a small amount of the Navy Blue Color Block.  You are looking to achieve a medium blue color.  Melt the wax to 210F.  Then, let the temperature drop to 200F.  Add 10 grams of the All Snuggled Up Fragrance Oil.  Stir.  Pour the wax into the mold.  Allow the wax to set up.
7. Weigh out and melt 30 grams of Palm Pillar Wax to 210F.  Once melted, allow the temperature to drop to 200F.  Add 3 grams of the All Snuggled Up Fragrance Oil.  Stir.  Pour the wax into the pillar mold.  Allow the wax to set up.
8. Weigh out and melt 100 grams of the Palm Pillar Wax to 210F.  Also, add an ample amount of the Navy Blue Color Block to achieve a deep blue color.  Stir to ensure the color is incorporated.  Allow to temperature to drop to 200F.  Add 10 grams of the All Snuggled Up Fragrance Oil.  Stir.  Pour the wax into the pillar mold.  Allow the wax to set up before moving on.
9. Remove the hot glue or wick plug from the mold.  Then, remove the candle from the mold.
10. Once cured, trim the wick and the candle is ready to use.
