Directions:

Always make sure to wear your safety equipment when working with lye!

First, weigh out your 544 grams of Palm Oil and 1270 grams of Coconut Oil 76 and mix them together carefully. Turn your crock pot onto the lowest setting and then you can pour your oils into the crock pot.

Next you will start your lye. Start by weighing out 689 grams of water. Then carefully add your 294 grams of lye to your water. Never add water to lye, always add the lye to water! Then mix it together carefully.

After your lye water is mixed, you can pour it into the crock pot with your oil mixture and then put the lid on the crock pot. Next, let it sit on the lowest setting for about two hours until it reaches the consistency of mashed potatoes. Make sure to stir it occasionally.

When it reaches the mashed potatoes consistency, place the soap into the molds and let it set so it can set up.

Once the soap is set up, break it up into pieces.

Heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and then put 525 grams of baking soda into a clear cake pan and bake the baking soda in the oven for about half an hour to make washing soda.  This changed the chemical composition of the baking soda to washing soda.

After the 30 minutes is over, your baking soda should now be washing soda. Using a mixing bowl, weigh out and mix together 525 grams of the washing soda and 288 grams of borax.

In the food processor, grind up 312 grams of the broken up soap with a few tablespoons of the borax and washing soda mixture.

Hello everyone! For all you crafters out there, do you love to create new things? Or maybe you’re looking for some recipes that can help you to be more eco-friendly? Maybe you’re just wondering what you can make that can just help you save some money? Well have you ever made anything with borax before? Yes, I’m sure you’ve seen it just sitting around your house and you’ve always wondered what you could use it for. It can actually be used for multiple different industries and products! You can use it to make your own laundry and dishwasher detergents, house hold cleaners, medicinal purposes, and it can even be used in bath and body products!

There are many uses for borax around your house. When you use homemade laundry detergent with borax, the borax actually helps to soften the water. It keeps the detergent from sinking straight to the bottom of the machine and actually helps to make it keep moving around so that it cleans your clothes better. Homemade laundry detergent also helps to avoid bad chemicals like sulfates and phenols from being used on your clothes, it is very eco-friendly, and helps to keep stains off of your clothes. Homemade dish detergent with borax helps to get grease and grime off of the dishes easier, and even increases the power of the cycle in the dishwasher. It even helps to keep the dishwasher clean!

Borax can be used to make many house hold cleaners too! It is great for creating an odor eliminating spray that will work anywhere in your house! Borax can even be used to deodorize cat litter. It cleans any kitchen surface by removing grease and stains, cleaning sinks, pots and pans, garbage disposals, and it can be used on any kitchen appliance. You can even use it to steam clean your carpets! It’s a great way to avoid any nasty chemicals being used on the carpets and is also a natural cleanser. It can refresh and brighten worn carpets, and removes any caked in grime or dust. It can even be used as an all-purpose cleaner in the bathroom! It removes grime and rings from around the bathtub, and even brightens tile!

It can be used for many bath and body products like lotions, creams, shampoos, bath salts, bath bombs, and gels. When used in lotions and creams, borax acts as an emulsifier so that the oil and water do not separate. It also makes the skin softer, cleaner, and healthier. These creams and lotions can also help to remove cosmetics from the skin. When borax is used in shampoos, it helps to stop the scalp from itching and flaking, and removes sweat from the hair.
