Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Clean and Prepare

First, you should be aware that this bath and body recipe is best prepared in non-humid climates. While you can try to make a bath bomb recipe in a more humid environment, it may take longer for your finished product to set up and completely harden.

Also, you should clean up your workspace and bath bomb making supplies before you begin to work on your diy bath recipe. First of all, washing your equipment will help to prevent you from accidentally getting your bath bomb recipe dirty. Plus, cleaning up your workspace will give you more space to work that is clean and ready to use. So, creating your yummy candy scented bath bombs will be easier and lead to a cleaner product.

Also, you will want to use disposable gloves for this bath bomb recipe. Wearing gloves will allow you to use your hands to mix your bath and body ingredients. So, it will be easier to mix your cosmetic ingredients thoroughly and evenly. Plus, wearing gloves will help you to keep your cosmetic recipe clean as you are mixing your bath bomb ingredients.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Preparing the Bottle of Witch Hazel

Before you begin creating this homemade bath bomb recipe, you will need to prepare a bottle of witch hazel. The bottle of witch hazel will be used towards the end of the process. Witch hazel is used to activate the bath bomb ingredients, which will ensure that your mixture will harden completely. So, you will want to fill up your 8 oz bullet bottle with witch hazel. Then, screw on the spray bottle lid. Now, you can set this spray bottle aside until you need it at a later step.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Preparing the Dry Ingredients Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Preparing the Dry Ingredients

The first step of this process is to prepare the baking soda. So, you are going to want to weigh out 512 grams of the baking soda and 10 grams of the Bentonite Clay Powder. Then, you will want to add this cosmetic ingredient to your medium sized mixing bowl. Once you have your measured amount of the baking soda, you will need to break up any clumps in this cosmetic ingredient. We would suggest that you use your clean, gloved hands to break up all of the clumps you find. Once this cosmetic powder is completely smooth and free of any clumps, you can move on to the next step.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Cosmetic OilLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Cosmetic Oil

Next, you are going to add a cosmetic oil to your baking soda. So, weigh out 18 grams of the Apricot Kernel Oil into the mixing bowl. After you add this bath bomb ingredient, you will use your gloved hands to combine the cosmetic ingredients. This cosmetic oil is included to add some conditioning properties to the recipe. So, you will have a fun bath bomb that still cares for your skin.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Candy Scented Fragrance Oil

Now, you will be able to add the sweet candy scented fragrance oil to your mixture. So, measure out 7 grams of the Jammin Rock Candy Fragrance Oil. You can add this scented oil to the mixture and use your gloved hands to combine everything.

The scent has top notes of a sweet jammin’ berry trio of juicy ripe cherries, strawberries, and raspberries harmonized with hints of tangy citrus. These notes are brought together by icy peppermint and sugary hard rock candy. This fragrance truly rocks the house!

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Creating Three Colored Bath Bomb PortionsLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Creating Three Colored Bath Bomb Portions

Next, you are going to separate your bath bomb mixture into three equal portions. So, you will want two additional mixing bowls to move your bath bomb mixture into. Once you have these portions separated, you are going to color each of these three portions evenly.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Coloring the Neon Green PortionLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Coloring the Neon Green Portion

First, grab one of your three even portions of bath bomb mixture. You are going to make this portion a vivid green color. So, add 25 drops of the Neon Green FUN Soap Colorant to this mixing bowl. You will use your gloved hands to thoroughly mix the cosmetic colorant into this bath bomb mixture. Once the color is fully and evenly mixed into the other cosmetic ingredients, you can set this bowl aside for now.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Coloring the Neon Orange PortionLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Coloring the Neon Orange Portion

Second, you are going to grab another one of your uncolored portions of the bath bomb mixture. You are going to make this bath and body mixture a bright orange color. So, you will need to add 20 drops of the Neon Orange FUN Soap Colorant. Next, you are going to use a clean pair of disposable gloves to mix all your ingredients together. Once the colorant is completely mixed into the other cosmetic ingredients, you can set this bowl aside for now.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Coloring the Neon Pink PortionLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Coloring the Neon Pink Portion

Thirdly, you are going to grab your last uncolored portion of this bath bomb mixture. You will make this third portion of this cosmetic recipe a pretty, bold pink color. So, you will want to add 15 drops of the Neon Pink FUN Soap Colorant to your mixture. Again, you will need to use clean disposable gloves to mix this colorant into your other bath recipe ingredients. After the colorant is fully and evenly mixed into the other cosmetic ingredients, you can set this bowl aside for now.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Activating Your Green Bath Bomb MixtureLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Activating Your Green Bath Bomb Mixture

Now, you are going to use your witch hazel to activate your green colored bath bomb mixture. So, add a few spritzes of the witch hazel to your mixture and begin to mix with your gloved hands. You will want to continue to mix and spray until you get a consistency that feels like crumbly dough. Remember to be careful not to overspray.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Begin Creating The Bath BombLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Begin Creating The Bath Bomb

First, you are going to want to separate your green colored bath recipe into two equal portions. You will be able to create two bath bombs with this cosmetic recipe. Now, you are going to need to grab two lollipop charms to put in the center of the bath bomb recipe. You will want to take one of the portions of your activated green bath bomb recipe to pack around one of these cute charms. So, use your hands to tightly pack half of the green bath bomb mixture around your lollipop charm. Next, use the other green colored bath bomb portion to tightly pack around the other lollipop charm. Now, set both of these small, green bath bombs aside for now.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Activating Your Orange Bath Bomb MixtureLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Activating Your Orange Bath Bomb Mixture

Next, you are going to add the witch hazel to your orange colored bath bomb mixture. So, you will want to spray and mix with gloved hands until your orange mixture begins to feel like crumbly dough. You will want to mix well as you spray to avoid adding too much witch hazel.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Second Layer of Your Bath BombLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Second Layer of Your Bath Bomb

Now that your bath bomb mixture is at the right consistency, you are ready to add the second layer. First, you will need to divide the orange bath mixture in half. After, spray one of your small, green bath bombs. Then, you can begin to pack the orange mixture around the bath bomb. You will pack on the orange mixture like you would build a snowball. You will want to cover all of the green layer, so be careful not to make this layer too thick. Next, you will want to spray and build on the other green bath bomb as well.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Activating Your Pink Bath Bomb Mixture

Then, you are going to add the last layer to your bath bomb recipe. So, you are going to need to add the witch hazel to your pink bath recipe mixture. You will need to use gloved hands to mix and spray the witch hazel. Once you get the right consistency for your pink mixture, you are ready to move on to the next step.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Last Layer of the Bath BombLollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Last Layer of the Bath Bomb

Finally, you are ready to add the last layer to your bath bomb recipe. So, you will need to spray the orange bath bomb. Then, you will need to separate the mixture into two portions. Now, you can pack the pink bath bomb mixture around the orange layer.  Again, you are going to need to pack the layer tightly and be careful not to make the layer too thick. Once the pink layer completely covers the orange layer, repeat the process of spraying and packing with the other bath bomb.

Lollipop Bath Bomb Recipe: Using Your Finished Bath Bomb Recipe

Finally, you are finished creating your bath bomb recipe! Now, you just need to let your bath bombs completely set up before using your finished product. Once your bath bomb has completely hardened, you are ready to use your finished product!

Kiwi Watermelon Soap Recipe: Adding the Kiwi Watermelon Fragrance OilKiwi Watermelon Soap Recipe: Adding the Kiwi Watermelon Fragrance Oil

Now, you are ready to add 103 grams of Kiwi Watermelon Fragrance Oil to your cosmetic mixture. This scrumptious fragrance oil begins with juicy notes of watermelon and grapefruit. These scents are followed by middle notes of strawberry, green melon, and white lily. Finally, these aromas are sitting on base notes of ozone, Balsamic vanilla, and fresh woods. After adding this scrumptious soap scent, you will need to stick blend to fully incorporate the scent.

You are going to separate the uncolored portion of the mixture into two halves. Half of this batch will be swirled with the other colored soap portions.  So, you will want to get a large mixing bowl and add 425 grams of this mixture into another bowl. The remaining portion of the uncolored soap batch will be used to top your soap in a later step. Now, you will need to grab your deep mixing bowl of 425 grams of the white soap. Next, you will need to add the Pink Colorant, Light Green Colorant, and Dark Green Colorant to the white soap in your deep mixing bowl. So, start with the pink soap mixture. After, you are ready to pour the mixture into the loaf soap mold.

Kiwi Watermelon Soap Recipe: Adding the Topping to Your CP SoapKiwi Watermelon Soap Recipe: Adding the Topping to Your CP Soap

Lastly, you are going to add the top to your soap loaf. You will need to wait for this white soap portion to cool and thicken before you can add it to your soap. Once your white soap is ready to use, you are going to use your spatula to add this whipped soap to the top of your soap. After you have this uncolored soap added to your soap loaf, you can use your spatula to create peaks and texture. You will not need too much of either the mica dust or the herb. We used less than a gram of each on our soap.

After 12-48 hours you are ready to remove your soap from the loaf mold. Gently remove the soap from the silicone soap mold. Once you have your finished soap mold removed, you will be ready to add the finishing touches, cut your bars, and wait for the soap to cure.

Once the cold process soap has been removed from the mold, you are ready to add the final few touches to your soap recipe. First, you can sprinkle of diamond dust mica on to the top of your soap. Also, you can sprinkle on some whole poppy seeds onto the top of this soap loaf. This wholesale cosmetic herb was included to resemble kiwi seeds.

Kiwi Watermelon Soap Recipe: Slicing Your Soap LoafKiwi Watermelon Soap Recipe: Slicing Your Soap Loaf

Now, you will want to cut your soap loaf into individual bars. You will want to cut your soap before you let your soap cure. Otherwise, your soap bars may be more likely to become too brittle and flake away as you cut. Now, you will want to set up your soap bars in a place where they can cure.

Kiwi Watermelon Soap Recipe: Using Your Finished CP Soap

Of course, you will need to wait for your cold process soap to cure before you can use your homemade soap bars. This can take from 2 and 8 weeks to completely cure. After your soap bars have set up, your soap is ready to use! You can use your soap packaging supplies to store some of your soap bars. Plus, your cp soap bars will be ready to use as well.

Bacon Fragrance OilBest Scents for Fathers Day:  Bacon Fragrance Oil

Now, our list wouldn’t be complete without Bacon Fragrance Oil from Natures Garden.  We challenged our perfumist to create a scent that smelled like real bacon.  Smells like bacon to us!

Did you know?  The average American consumes 17 pounds of bacon each year.  And yet, another fact about bacon is that it is actually used to flavor a variety of beer, vodkas, and bourbons.  Interesting.

Beer Fragrance OilBest Scents for Fathers Day:  Beer Fragrance Oil

Next on our list of scents for Father’s Day is Beer Fragrance Oil.  Throughout the history of Natures Garden, this fragrance oil was probably the most difficult scent for our perfumist to create.  There were actually a total of 4 different perfumists who attempted to create a good beer scent for us.  We did not want a stale-smelling beer scent, and we did not want a beer scent that had floral notes; like so many we have tested.  In this truly unique fragrance, the perfumist combined the aroma of malt liquor straight from the tap, and gave it a fruity twist.  He creatively combined notes of malt liquor and hops with fruity notes of strawberry, pineapple, apple, and raspberry.  CHEERS!!!  Of course, this is a Natures Garden original scent.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Prepare Your Work Area

Before you can begin creating your homemade slime recipe, you are going to want to make a few preparations. First, you are going to want to make sure that the equipment you need is clean and ready to use. So, gather the supplies that you are going to need to make slime and wash them to ensure that they are clean. Also, you are going to want to clean up a work space. So, clear a space that you can use to make your slime. This will ensure that you have an easier and more enjoyable experience with creating your slime.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Other Necessary Preparations

Before you get started on making your homemade slime recipe, you are going to want to prepare the borax solution. You are going to create this solution using eight ounces of warm water and a half teaspoon of borax from Natures Garden. So, add these two ingredients to a clear bullet bottle and place a white disc lid on top. Now, make sure that the lid is on tight and is closed before you shake the solution. You will want to make sure that you shake enough to mix the borax and water together. Then, you will need to set this bullet bottle of the borax solution aside for a later step. While you will not need the entire bottle of borax solution for this recipe, you will be able to use it to create other batches of slime as well.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Mixing the Slime IngredientsRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Mixing the Slime Ingredients

Now you are ready to begin mixing up the base ingredients of your homemade slime making recipe. So, you are going to combine the shaving cream and white glue. You will need to start with a cup of white Elmer’s glue. After, you are going to add two cups of the fluffy shaving cream. You are going to want to mix these two ingredients together well with your hands.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Adding the Scented OilRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Adding the Scented Oil

Then, you are ready to add the delicious scented oil to your slime mixture. So, you going to need to add the four milliliters of the Rainbow Sherbet fragrance oil for this fluffy slime recipe. Of course, you can check out our other fantastic fragrance oils for slime on the Slime Scents page for future slime recipes. For this scented slime recipe, we included the sweet, dessert aroma of the Rainbow Sherbet Fragrance Oil.

You are going to be sure to love the scent of our Rainbow Sherbet Fragrance Oil. This scented oil has delicious notes of fresh lime, pineapple, orange, and raspberry. Further, these fruity notes are enhanced by the creamy base notes of vanilla. This aroma is mouth watering and absolutely perfect for creating a scrumptious slime recipe!

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Dividing Up Your Slime Mixture

Of course, you want your rainbow sherbet slime to be more like a rainbow with a few different, vivid colors! In order to get these different colors, you are going to need to divide up your diy slime mixture into three separate sections. So, you will need to get three bowls to divide the slime into even portions. Once you have three even portions, you are ready for the next step.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Adding the Cosmetic Colorants

Now that you have three equal portions of your slime mixture prepared, you are ready to add the fun soap colorants. So, you are going to create each of the pink, yellow, and orange colored portions of the diy slime recipe. These colors will be sure to provide you with a bright, rainbow sherbet themed slime recipe.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Coloring the First PortionRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Coloring the First Portion

First, you are going to add soap colorant to one portion of the slime mixture. You are going to add the pink soap colorant to your first portion. So, you are going to add a small amount of the Neon Pink FUN Soap Colorant to your slime mixture. We would recommend using 20 drops of the pink soap colorant. You can add a few drops, mix everything together, and check to see whether you need a few more drops. After swirling in the color, you can mix the color in with your gloved hands. Once you get the pink color that you desire, you can set this portion aside for a later step.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Coloring the Second PortionRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Coloring the Second Portion

Second, you are going to add colorant to the next portion of your homemade slime. This portion of the slime is going to be a bright orange color. So, you are going to need to add about 10 drops of the Neon Orange FUN Soap Colorant. Again, you can start with just a few drops, mix everything, and see whether you need to add more colorant. Then, you will need to use your gloved hands to mix in the color. Once you have a bright orange hue, you will be ready to move on to the next step in the process.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Coloring the Third PortionRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Coloring the Third Portion

Third, you are going to create the yellow color for this quick slime recipe. So, you are going to need to grab the last uncolored portion of your slime mixture. You will need to about 10 drops of the Neon Yellow FUN Soap Colorant. Of course, you can start with a smaller amount of the soap colorant and decide. Once you have a bright, fun yellow color you can move on to the next step in the process.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Activating the Slime MixturesRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Activating the Slime Mixtures

Next, you are going to activate your slime mixtures. So, you are going to need to grab your bottle of borax solution. You will need to add a small amount of the borax solution and mix everything together with your hands. Further, you will need to continue to add more of the solution and mix with your hands until you reach the right consistency. You are looking to create a consistency that is similar to taffy. Once you activate one of you three portions you will need to repeat this process with the other portions of the slime mixtures.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Suggestion for Adding the BoraxRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Suggestion for Adding the Borax

You will want to be sure to add enough of the borax solution to your colored slime. If you do not add enough borax solution, then your slime will be too sticky. Further, your slime will get to too stiff by adding too much of the borax solution. So, you will want to make sure to include a good amount of the borax. A good method for adding the right amount of the borax solution is to only add small amounts of the solution at a time. This will allow you to mix everything together to see whether you will need more of the borax added.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Adding the GlitterRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Adding the Glitter

Next, we are going to add some glitter to the slime.  This will give the homemade slime some sparkle.  So, begin with the yellow slime.  While the slime is in your bowl, sprinkle it with yellow glitter.  Then, kneed the slime until the glitter is incorporated.  Once you are satisfied with the amount of glitter, set the yellow slime aside and repeat this process with both the pink and orange slime.  Use orange glitter for the orange slime and pink glitter for the pink slime.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Mixing the Colored SlimeRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Mixing the Colored Slime

Now that your three scented slime portions are each activated with borax, you are ready to mix the colors together. So, you will want to take the neon pink portion of the slime. You will need to stretch the pink slime out in front of you. Next, you will stretch out the bright yellow slime, too. You will need to place the yellow slime right on top of the pink slime. Further, you are going to stretch out the neon orange slime out in front of you. Then, you will need to place the stretched orange slime with the other two colored slime portions. After each of the three diy slime portions are stretched out, you are going to need to twist these three colors together.

Rainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Fill the Clear JarsRainbow Sherbet Slime Recipe: Fill the Clear Jars

Now, you are ready to fill your clear PET jars with you finished slime recipe. Since the three colors are already twisted together it will be easy to mix the colors up in the jar. Be careful not to overheat the soap base.  Next, add the Happy Birthday Vanilla Cupcake Fragrance Oil, Neon Orange FUN Soap Colorant, vegetable glycerin, and Vanilla White Color Stabilizer, using the total recipe amounts above as a guide. Stir it all together to get everything completely blended. Finally, pour your orange soap onto a sheet of wax paper.  Spray your orange with rubbing alcohol to eliminate any air bubbles. Let the soap setup before moving on.

Now, remove the soap you prepared from the wax paper.  Once again, cut the soap in half.  The first half needs to be cut into small squares.  Cut the second half of the soap into strips and curl them in spirals.  Put the confetti pieces in the same bowl with the other confetti.  Then, place the spirals in the bowl with the other spirals.

Prepare the Soap for the Confetti and Streamers: Create the Green SoapPrepare the Soap for the Confetti and Streamers: Create the Green Soap

Next, it is time to create the green soap. So, in your small bowl, add 42 grams of Natures Garden’s Oatmeal Soap Base. Using your microwave, once again, melt the mp soap in 15 second intervals. Do not to overheat the soap base.  Once the soap is melted, add the Neon Green FUN Soap Colorant, Vanilla White Color Stabilizer, Happy Birthday Vanilla Cupcake fragrance oil, and finally vegetable glycerin.  Stir everything together. Finally, pour your green soap onto a sheet of wax paper. Of course, you will want to spray the soap you poured with rubbing alcohol to get rid of any air bubble.  Then, let the soap setup.

Finally, once setup, remove the green soap from the wax paper.  Next, cut the soap in half.  Begin by cutting one half into small squares.  Next, cut the second half into thin strips and curl them in spirals.  Put the confetti pieces in the bowl with the other confetti.  Then, place the spirals in the bowl with the spirals.

Prepare the Soap for the Confetti and Streamers: Create the Yellow SoapPrepare the Soap for the Confetti and Streamers: Create the Yellow Soap

Finally, we will pour the yellow soap. In a small bowl, weigh out 42 grams of the Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap Base. Then, melt the soap in 15 second intervals using your microwave. Be careful not to overheat the soap base.  Next, add the Neon Yellow FUN Soap Colorant, Happy Birthday Vanilla Cupcake fragrance oil, Vanilla White Color Stabilizer, and vegetable glycerin. Use the guide above to determine how much color, fragrance, and vegetable glycerin to use. Stir well to completely incorporate the ingredients. Lastly, pour your yellow soap onto a sheet of wax paper. Spray this soap with rubbing alcohol to eliminate any air bubbles. Allow this to setup.

Prepare the Soap for the Confetti and Streamers: Create the Yellow SoapLastly, remove the yellow soap from the wax paper.  Cut the soap in half.  Use a knife to cut one half into small squares.  Then, cut the second half into thin strips. Then, curl the strips into spirals.  Put the confetti pieces in the same bowl with the other confetti.  Then, add the spirals curls in the bowl with the other spirals.

Melt and Pour Confetti Soap:  Prepare the White LayerMelt and Pour Confetti Soap:  Prepare the White Layer

At this time, we will prepare the white layer.  First, you will need to weigh out 140 grams of Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap.  In the microwave melt the soap in 30 second intervals until the mp soap is in a liquid state.

Melt and Pour Confetti Soap:  Prepare the White Layer

Now that the oatmeal soap base is melted, add the Happy Birthday Vanilla Cupcake Fragrance Oil and the Vanilla White Color Stabilizer.  Stir to completely blend the ingredients together. Next, pour 1/3 of the melted oatmeal soap into each of cavities of the basic rectangle soap mold. Once the soap is poured, spray the soap with rubbing alcohol to release any air bubbles. Let the soap setup completely before moving on.

Melt and Pour Confetti Soap:  Prepare the Clear LayerMelt and Pour Confetti Soap:  Prepare the Clear Layer

At this time, we will prepare the clear layer.  In a mixing bowl, weigh out 228 grams of Natures Garden’s Diamond Clear melt and pour soap base. Once again, in your microwave, heat the clear soap base in 30 second intervals until it is completely melted. Be careful not to overheat the soap.  Then, add the fragrance oil and Vanilla White Color Stabilizer. Stir to mix the ingredients into the soap base.

You will need to move quickly over the next couple steps.  So, first, spray the previous white layer of soap that is in the mold with rubbing alcohol. Next, pour the clear soap into each cavity of the mold. It should be poured directly on top of the white layer.

Melt and Pour Confetti Soap:  Prepare the Clear Layer

Finally, quickly add both confetti and spirals to each bar of soap. Let some of the spirals pop out of the soap slightly. Finally, spray the soap with rubbing alcohol.  Make sure the soap has plenty of time to harden before you remove it from the soap mold.

Grape Soda Pop Bath Bomb Recipe: A Note About This Recipe

Since this bath and body recipe is activated by water, you will find that this bath and body recipe is best prepared in climates that aren’t very humid.  If your climate is a bit too humid, your bath bombs might over activate due to the moisture in the air. Grape Soda Pop Bath Bomb Recipe: Activating the Bath Bombs Mixture

Grape Soda Pop Bath Bomb Recipe: Filling Your Bath Bomb MoldGrape Soda Pop Bath Bomb Recipe: Filling Your Bath Bomb Mold

Next, you are going to be filling the top and bottom halves of your bath bomb molds. So, you will need to separate your bath bomb mold halves. Then, take one of these bath bomb molds and begin filling it with your bath and body mixture. You will want to make sure that you press firmly so that you pack the mixture tightly into the cosmetic mold. 460 grams of the Baking Soda
10 grams of the Bentonite Clay Powder
14 grams of the Cotton Candy Fragrance Oil

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Clean and Sanitize

First of all, we would like to let you know that this bath recipe is best prepared in non-humid climates. While you can try to make this cosmetic recipe in a more humid environment, it may take longer for these bath fizzies to set up and completely harden.

Also, you should clean up your work space and bath bomb making supplies before you begin to work on your diy bath recipe. First of all, washing your craft supplies will help to prevent you from accidentally getting your cosmetic recipe dirty. Plus, cleaning up your work space will give you more space to work that is clean and ready to use. So, creating your sweet cotton candy scented bath bombs will be easier and lead to a cleaner product.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Before Making Your Bath Bomb

Before you begin this fun bath and body recipe, you will need to prepare a bottle of witch hazel. This bottle of witch hazel will be used later on in the process. This witch hazel will be used to activate the bath fizzy mixture before you fill the bath bombs. So, you will want to fill up your 8 oz bullet bottle with witch hazel. Then, screw on the spray bottle lid. Now, you can set this spray bottle aside until you need it at a later step.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Weighing the Baking SodaCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Weighing the Baking Soda

First, you are going to want to weigh out 460 grams of the Baking Soda powder. Then, you will want to add this cosmetic ingredient to your medium sized mixing bowl. Once you have your measured amount of baking soda, you will need to break up any clumps in this cosmetic ingredient. We would suggest that you use your clean, gloved hands to break up any of these clumps. Once the baking soda powder is completely smooth and free of any clumps, you are ready to move on to the next step.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Adding Cosmetic Clay and Citric AcidCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Adding Cosmetic Clay and Citric Acid

After your baking soda is free of clumps, you are going to want to add the remaining cosmetic ingredients to your medium mixing bowl. So, you will need to add 350 grams of the Citric Acid as well as 10 grams of the Bentonite Clay Powder. Then, you will use your gloved hands to mix these three dry cosmetic ingredients together. After these bath bomb ingredients are mixed together well, you are ready to move on to the next step of this process.

Cotton Candy Fragrance OilCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Adding the Fragrance Oil

Next, we are going to be adding the delicious aroma of our Cotton Candy Fragrance Oil to the bath bomb recipe. This scented oil has an aroma that blends the scent of fresh, juicy strawberries and scrumptious notes of French vanilla. You will need to weigh out 14 grams of this yummy wholesale fragrance oil. Then, you will add this scented oil to your cosmetic mixture. After, you will mix the sugary sweet aroma of this fragrance oil with your cosmetic ingredients. You can use your gloved hands to mix this scent fully into your cosmetic ingredients.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring Your Cosmetic Recipe

Now that your cosmetic ingredients are mixed together, you are ready to color your bath recipe. So, you are going to want to separate your bath bomb mixture into two equal portions. Once you have two mixing bowls that each contain half of the total cosmetic mixture, you are ready to add the cosmetic colorants to each of your bath bomb mixtures. Since pink and blue are two of the most iconic cotton candy colors, we are going to use these two colors for this bath and body recipe!

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Pink PortionCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Pink Portion

Next, you are going to need to grab one of the two bowls that contain half of the mixture portion. This half of the mixture is going to be the pink half of your finished bath bomb. In order for you to get a pretty pink color, you will need to add the neon pink FUN Soap Colorant to this bath bomb mixture. You will want to add a few drops of this colorant and mix everything together. After the colorant is mixed in, you can decide whether you need to add a few more drops of the colorant. After adding this cosmetic colorant to your mixture, you will use your gloved hands to fully mix the colorant into your other cosmetic ingredients until you have an even pink color.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Blue PortionCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Blue Portion

Now, you are ready to color the remaining portion of your total bath and body mixture. First, you are going to need to change your gloves to avoid accidentally mixing in the pink colorant from the previous portion. After you have clean gloves, you will be ready to mix in the Neon Blue FUN Soap Colorant. You will want to mix in a few drops of this cosmetic colorant into your mixture until you have an even blue color. Then, you can decide whether you want to add more colorant to get a brighter, more vivid blue color.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Activating Your Mixture

Now that both halves of your cosmetic mixtures are scented and colored, you are ready to activate your bath bomb mixtures. For each of these two mixtures, you will need the bottle of witch hazel that you have previously prepared. Then, lightly spray the witch hazel into the bowl and mix the ingredients together with your gloved hands. You will want to continue to spray and mix until you have a consistency of crumbly dough. You will need to be careful not to spray too much witch hazel, as you could potentially activate the bath bomb mixture in the bowl. After one of the mixture portions are at the right consistency, you will need to repeat this step with the other portion.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Filling the Bath Bomb Molds

Next, you are ready to fill up your bath bomb molds. You will want to firmly press the bath bomb mixture into the bath bomb mold. Once the bath bomb mixture is pressed tightly into the mold, you can fill all the remaining bath bomb mold halves. After you have filled all the halves with the pink, you will want to repeat the process with the blue mixture.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Note for Filling the Molds

For each bath bomb mold you are going to want to have half pink and half blue. So, you will want to pay attention to which side of the bath bomb mold that you are filling. We would suggest filling the tops of your mold with the pink color and the bottom of the bath bomb mold with the blue color. This method of filling your cosmetic molds will help to make sure that you don’t end up with a bath bomb that is only one color.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Putting Together Your Bath Bomb Molds

Now that all of your bath bomb halves are completely filled and packed tightly, you are ready to combine the top and bottom of your bath bombs! So, you will need a pink half and a blue half. Each of these two halves will need to be lightly sprayed with witch hazel. Then, you will need to press these two halves together until you can tell that the bath bomb mold snaps shut. You will need to repeat this step with the other bath bomb mold halves until you have about four complete bath fizzies.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Finishing Up Your Bath Bomb

Before you can remove your bath fizzies from the mold, you need to wait for them to set up completely. If your recipe hasn’t completely hardened before you remove them from the mold, then they may break or even crumble. So, you will want to wait until the fizzies are hard, which can take a few days to a week. The time it takes will depend on the level of humidity in your area. Once your bath and body recipes have hardened, you are ready to use your bath fizzies! If you aren’t ready to use the cotton candy bath fizzies right away, then you can even leave them in the mold for a simple packaging idea!

13 Fun Slime Ideas13 Fun Slime Ideas

Last week Natures Garden had so much fun creating scented slime!  It was a day of slime making that I personally will never forget!  Today, let’s look at some fun slime ideas for all of the slime makers out.  Below, we are going to share some of our very favorite scented slimes using some of our most popular slime scents!  We will look at some of the key ingredients used in slime.  In addition, we will talk about some of the fun decorative things you can do with slime.  We also look at coloring options for slime making.

13 Fun Slime Ideas: A Basic Slime Recipe

Before we look at our 13 fun slime ideas or ways to jazz up your slime, let’s talk about the ingredients and some slime making basics.  First, you will need glue and shaving cream.  In addition, you will need borax and water.  Finally, the fun stuff!  You will need color, scent, and fragrance oil.

Creating the Borax SolutionA Basic Slime Recipe:  Creating the Borax Solution

First, you will need to create a borax solution.  In a bullet bottle, add 8 ounces of warm water.  Then, add 1/2 teaspoon of borax.  Place a disc lid on top, in the closed position.  Then, shake the bottle to mix the ingredients together.  Set this aside, for now, we will come back to it.

Mixing the Glue and Shaving CreamA Basic Slime Recipe:  Mixing the Glue and Shaving Cream

We found that we like adding shaving cream to ours to give our slime a nice fluffy look.  However, if you are using clear glue, you will not want to do this.  Your slime will not remain clear.  In deep mixing bowl, add one cup of Elmer’s Glue.  Then, add about two cups of shaving cream.  Use your hands to mix everything together.

Adding the Fragrance Oil and ColorA Basic Slime Recipe:  Adding the Fragrance Oil and Color

Now, we will add color and scent.  These two ingredients can be added right to the glue/shaving cream mixture.  Once you have added the scent and color, mix everything together.  When choosing a color you have a couple of options.  You can use either the FUN Soap Colorants or Da Bomb Soap Dyes.  When scenting your slime, you want to make sure you use a body safe fragrance oil and do not go over the maximum usage rate found on the IFRA certificate for that fragrance oil.  The IFRA certificate can be found in the description of each fragrance oil.

Adding the Borax Solution to the Other IngredientsA Basic Slime Recipe:  Adding the Borax Solution to the Other Ingredients

Now, you will need the borax solution you created.  Add a small amount of the borax solution to the bowl containing your glue mixture.  Then, mix everything together.  Continue to add small amounts of the borax solution and mixing until you have a fluffy slime consistency.  However, be careful not to add too much of the solution.  If you add too much, you slime will not stretch.  If you do not add enough, however, it will be too sticky.  Once you create your slime, you can package it in these jars and lids.

A Basic Slime Recipe: Decorating Your Slime

You have several options when it comes to decorations.  You can add glitter, slime charms, beads, and confetti.  The sky is the limit.  Below, we will show you some of the ways we decorated our slime to give it a fun twist.  We took into consideration the scent that we were using when creating the slime and had so much fun making scented slime!

Yummy Gummy Slime13 Fun Slime Ideas: Yummy Gummy Slime

First, we have the Yummy Gummy Slime.  This slime recipe uses Natures Garden’s Yummy Gummy Fragrance Oil.  So, what does the Yummy Gummy scent smell like?  If you guessed gummy bears you would be correct.  Keep reading for a little more about this scent.  This slime uses green glitter to color the clear glue slime.  In addition, we added gummy bear charms that pair perfectly with this fun candy aroma!  How did we make this slime?  We started with a basic slime recipe.  Then, we added the scent and some bright neon green glitter.  Once everything was mixed together, we added the adorable little gummy bears.

13 Fun Slime Ideas: Bacon Slime

Next, we have the bacon slime created at Natures Garden.  This slime was created using white glue and shaving cream.  It was then scented with bacon fragrance oil.  Once we created the slime, we divided our slime into three equal portions.  Each portion was placed into its own bowl.  Then, we colored our slime.  One of the three bowls was left uncolored.  One was colored with our red oxide FUN Soap Colorant.  To the third bowl, we added just a tiny bit of red oxide and a drop or two of the tomato red FUN Soap Colorant.  We mixed the colorant into each bowl, washing our hands in between mixing so we didn’t mix the colors.  Once we had the slime colored, we stretched the slime out and layered it.  Then, we placed it in the jar.
