Great scent but test a small batch beforehand

4 Wild Wild West Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Ohio

Wild Wild West has a great leather but slightly earthy scent. I tried blending this with two other FO's, Sandalwood and Tobacco. They smell delightful together. However, on two occassions I tried making CP soap with the blend and both times my soap accelerated too quickly for me to work with it. It could have been all three FO's together that caused the problem, but I'm not sure. I recommend testing a small batch before going all in. This FO is definitely worth trying, it's so unique and probably that umph you're looking for, just TEST IT FIRST.

Accelerates My Soap

I have mixed feelings about this scent. I kind of like the scent and I kind of don't. Smells like leather but has a chemically scent to it as well, not a fan of that part. Also it makes my CP soap seize every time, even though I soap at cooler temps. It sells okay but it doesn't fly off the shelf like I had hoped.

Stronger than I thought!

5 Wild Wild West Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from FL

I don't usually write reviews but I had to come back and leave one for this scent. Out of the bottle, I smelled a ton of leather and not much else. And I just knew it was going to be too light for my soy candles. Man, I was wrong. This sent smells like leather with a touch of man. I can't pinpoint it but just fresh man cologne maybe. Just a TAD. It's a great scent and it very strong in my 464 candles, and I tested after only a 9 day cure. I will scale back to 9% or even 8% next time. Awesome!

Wild Wild West

I didn't like this scent out of the bottle. It had kind of a chemical/soapy smell to it. But I love it as a candle! I smell mostly the leather, and what I love about this scent is it is just enough to be strong without being overpowering. I used IGI6006 and it has a good cold and hot throw at about 8%.

Overpowering leather

3 Wild Wild West Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Houston, Tx

I know there's supposed to be plenty of different scents in this fragrance, but the only one I can smell is leather. Just leather. The leather is an authentic leather smell, but it's really overpowering. I might try to mix this with something, but no one who has smelled the candles I made with this has liked it very much so far.

It's okay....

In CP no A, D, or R. I find this fragrance to be wonderful in freshly made soap similar to a suede smell. After the cure it has a distinct smoke smell. Like a leather jacket that has been in a house fire type of scent (that's the only way I can describe it). I give this one 3 stars because it behaves excellent in soap. I have not had my customers smell this one, so I can't determine their reviews yet. My hubby likes it though. I do like leather scents but the smoke element kind of throws me for a loop.

Holy Leather!

5 Wild Wild West Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Moroni, UT US

This fragrance is leather- spot on. I'm not a horse girl at all, so I kept smelling the bowl with an odd look on my face. Up close, it is pretty strong, but when I walked in the room where my pots were soaking, it was actually quite nice, earthy and homey. I'm hoping the guys at the cowboy festival eat it up! No issues with the pour- I did layers with a pencil line and it took a few minutes of good stick blending to even get to thick trace, so no acceleration at all for me.

Makes soap on a stick for me.

I usually love Nature's Garden and still do, the scent is wonderful, very rustic. I used it in a CP soap recipe, I have used before without acceleration using Australian Bamboo fragrance oil, but with this scent I had almost instant soap. Had to throw it in the crock pot to try and save it. Still love the scent, but beware, you had better work quick.

Develops Nicely

5 Wild Wild West Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Brookhaven, MS US

Out of the bottle, this smells horrible; like burning plastic mixed with nail polish remover. I didn't plan to ever use it because I didn't want my house smelling like that. But I had a request for a leather scent and I decided I might as well. And I'm glad I did. I used it in a beer soap and the plastic-y smell filled my house for a few days, but as it's curing, it's mellowing out and I'm starting to be able to smell warm leather. With a full cure, I think it will be very nice. Glad I finally tried it!

Excellent men's scent!

5 Wild Wild West Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Federal Way, WA US

I ordered this fragrance based on other's rave reviews and I was NOT disappointed! This is a wonderful, yet not overpowering, leather scent that I know my customers will love. I am using it in men's shaving soap right now and will definitely be using it in other products in my men's line. Thanks NG!
