Rootbeer Fragrance Oil

Description

Rootbeer Fragrance Oil

This fragrance oil by Natures Garden is a very true-to-name fragrance oil. The refreshing aroma of a rootbeer soda.

Did You Know? The Sumerians discovered the process of fermentation some 6,000 years ago.  With this new knowledge, they were able to start fermenting wild barley and in essence created the first beer.  Flash forward to the mid 1800s: It was very common for the vast majority of pharmacists to create cure all remedies.  These cure alls supposedly successfully treated  many different medical problems.  Several of these cure alls had ingredients and recipes that were ironically very close to that of rootbeer.  Some of these ingredients included:  roots and spices, and of course, secret elements.  Later, Charles Hires came across one of these recipes, and was so fond of  it, that he later packaged it as tea.  This tea was such a sensation, that the Hires family began selling it in a carbonated bottled version.  This beverage is still known today as one of the first sodas ever sold.

Not great in CP soap; awesome in bath bombs! Review rating is 4 stars

Reviewer: from Lindon, UT, USA

I was hoping this would be a true rootbeer scent in my CP soap, but (while it is great OOB), it morphed in my CP soap (room temp). Sigh! The strength of the scent was good...it just didn't smell like rootbeer to me anymore.
But, all was not lost because it was a total hit in the bath bombs! Super fun! So, I'll be getting more FO and just not using it in my CP soap.

This fragrance makes candles that sell themselves Review rating is 5 stars

This fragrance is amazing. It smells so good. I make gel candles with this fragrance and color them to look like soda, and they sell themselves at craft fairs! I use the root beer oil at about 5% and people can smell it walking by my booth, and you would be surprised how many stop and take a deep whiff. You definitely find all the root beer lovers in the crowd. They all say the same thing too, that it smells just like A&W root beer (not just any root beer...it's definitely A&W) and they want to know how I did it. Some of them even ask if I used real root beer in the candles.

Turns to Black Licorice Scent in CP Review rating is 4 stars

4 Rootbeer Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from VA

This FO smells amazing OOB...just like rootbeer! But it changes to a definite black licorice scent in CP soap with some acceleration. In my case, it was fine for me as I was making a Halloween soap, which worked out perfectly!

Wow!!! Review rating is 5 stars

Reviewer: from New Brighton PA

This smells exactly like root beer barrels!!! Scent stays strong in cold process, at .75oz per pound of oil, be prepared to move quickly, or soap at room temp. Piping the top, was a breeze! It thickened just enough to hold it's shape. After trying a couple of sample bottles, I ordered an 8oz bottle to make more!

In the bottle=Awesome, in CP, not so much Review rating is 2 stars

2 Rootbeer Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Western US

When I got the bottle and gave it a whiff it was fantastic! When I put it in the CP soap, it was, again, fantastic! Next day when I went to cut the soap it was...PAINT THINNER!! Seriously, both my wife and I thought it smelled strongly of paint thinner. As it cured the paint thinner aspect mellowed, but it was always there. I thought this would be awesome, and it wasn't. In MP soap that my wife makes it holds true to the scent, in CP, a big fat nope.

Extremely good scent, right on Review rating is 5 stars

This scent is dead on for an A&W Rootbeer. So often i'm disappointed with scents that turn out nothing like the description. Fortunately this is not one of those. You can't go wrong with this scent.

Excellent cold and hot throw. Full Rootbeer scent from top to bottom.
