Step 1:  Start by preparing your lye solution.  Note: Always add the sodium hydroxide to your water.  Never add your water to the sodium hydroxide. Mix until it’s clear and set aside to cool.

Step 2:  While you are waiting for your lye water to cool down, prepare your oils.  Weigh out and melt your soaping oils.  Set these aside until they cool to room temperature.

Step 3:  While waiting for the lye water and soaping oils to cool to room temperature, prepare your colorants for the CP soap.  You will need to prepare colorants for the white soap, light pink soap, dark pink soap, and blue soap as listed above.  You will need a total of 4 funnel spout pitchers.  Put the colorants directly into each pitcher.

Step 4:  Once both the lye solution and the oils have dropped to room temperature, use a stick blender to emulsify.

Step 5:  Quickly, divide the soap batter into the four funnel spout pitchers.  Add 370 grams to the pitcher containing the titanium dioxide and 260 grams to each remaining pitcher.  Mix each pitcher with a stick blender to blend the colorants throughout.

Step 6:  Next, add the Magnolia In Bloom Fragrance Oil.  Stir to incorporate the fragrance oil.

Step 7: Place the tray mold in front of you and pour enough white soap batter to cover the bottom of the mold.
Step 8: Now, in the center of the mold place the bottom of a plastic beverage bottle flipped upside down. Begin pouring enough soap batter over the plastic bottle base allowing it to make a little puddle on the base of the mold.. Quickly, go from one color to the next then repeat the process over and over until there is a small amount of each color remaining. I started with dark pink, light pink, blue then white and repeat.

Step 9: Next, Remove the plastic bottle from the mold and there is a small hole without soap. Pour each color on top of each other in this area, filling the space.

Step 10: Then take a skewer and pull from the outside of the mold to the center. Repeat this every inch all the way around the mold.

Step 11: Finally, insert the skewer into the center of the mold and make a continuous circle until reaching the outer edge.  Remove the Skewer. Clean the edges of the mold.

Step 12:  After 24-48 hours you can remove the soap from the mold. Allow the soap to cure for 4-6 weeks before using.

Your Magnolia in Bloom Swirl  Soap is now ready for use!  Enjoy!
