Snap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Preparations and Cleaning

Before you begin to create your wax melts recipe, you will want to make a few preparations. First, gather your cosmetic ingredients for this wax tarts recipe. It can be useful to get everything that you need before making your diy wax melts to have the process go easier. Also, you will want to sanitize any craft equipment that you will need for the wax melt recipe. Next, you will want to prepare an area for you to use as a work space. Further, it is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while you prepare this candle wax recipe. After you have made these preparations, you will be ready to work on making this homemade candle recipe!

Create the Double BoilerSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Create the Double Boiler

Next, you are going to want to create the double boiler for this recipe. While you will still need to stir, the double boiler will be useful for preventing your wax from overheating. To create this device you will need two pots that will fit into each other. In the larger pot you will add water, which will be heated to a boil. Your pouring pot will act as the smaller pot for this recipe. Now, you will want to heat your water. Once the water is at a boil, set your pouring pot inside to melt the candle wax inside.

Mixing Spoon
Scale
Pot (for double boiler)
Knife

Snap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Weights and Amounts of Ingredients

A small amount of the White Color Block
6.5 ounces of the Bliss of Bliss Candle Wax
A small amount of the Royal Blue Color Block
0.65 ounces of the Independent Fragrance Oil
A small amount of the Scarlet Color Block

Weighing Out the WaxSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Weighing Out the Candle Wax

First, you are going to measure out the granulated candle wax for this portion of the wax melt recipe. So, you will want to add one ounce of the Pillar of Bliss Wax to your pouring pot. You are going to need to use your pouring pot device to melt your candle wax. Once your candle wax has completely melted, you are ready to move on to the next step in preparing this portion of the wax melts recipe.

Creating the Blue Candle WaxSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Creating the Blue Candle Wax

Next, you are going to add the candle colorant to your melted Pillar of Bliss wax. So, you will need to cut a small amount off of the Royal Blue color block. You will want to add this small amount of candle dye to your melted wax and mix it in. Be sure to stir until all of the added color block is incorporated. Once you have a beautiful deep blue color, you are ready to move on to the next part of the process.

Creating the Blue Candle WaxSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Scenting the Blue Candle Wax

Once your wax has been colored, you can add the fragrance oil. So, you will want to add 0.10 ounce of the Independent Fragrance Oil. Once you add in the scented oil, you will want to mix everything together to make sure that the fragrance is fully incorporated. Then, you can move on to the next step in the process.

Pouring the Blue Wax PortionSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Pouring the Blue Wax Portion

Now you are ready to pour your scented wax into the mold. So, you will want to retrieve your silicone loaf mold. However, this isn’t the only mold that you can use for this recipe. Instead, you could pour your candle wax into another silicone mold that you use for candle making or even a nonstick pan. If you use a pan, then we would recommend that you line your pan with wax paper to make it easier to remove.

Cutting the blue wax fro the snap bar tartsSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Cutting the Blue Candle Wax

After the blue wax portion has cooled and set up completely, you can remove it from the candle mold. You will want to use a knife to cut the blue candle wax into chunks. For our purposes, the chunks do not need to be even. Also, you may notice that you create little blue shavings as you cut. You will want to save both the chunks and the shavings. After everything has been cut, you will need to put this to the side for a later step.

Measuring the Candle WaxSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Measuring the Candle Wax

Next, you can move on to prepare the red portion of the candle recipe. So, you will want to wipe out your pouring pot. Once your pouring pot is clean, you want to add one ounce of the Pillar of Bliss Wax to your clean pouring pot. Use your double boiler to melt the candle wax and stir as the wax melts. Once everything is melted, then move on to the next part of the process.

Snap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Adding the Red Candle Colorant

Now, you are ready to add the colorant to your melted wax. You will need to use a knife to cut a small amount of the Scarlet Color Block Dye. Then, you will want to add this small amount to your pouring pot. As the color block melts, you will want to stir in the color. Once you have fully incorporated the colorant and have a bright red hue, then you will be ready to move on to the next step in the process.

Scenting the Red Candle WaxSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Scenting the Red Candle Wax

Now that your candle wax is colored, you can add the scented oil for this wax melt recipe. You will want to add 0.10 ounce of the Independent Fragrance Oil. After adding the scented oil, you will need to mix the scent in well. Once the scent has been fully incorporated into the melted red wax, you can move on to the next step in the candle making process.

Pouring the Red Wax PortionSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Pouring the Red Wax Portion

Once everything has been mixed together, you are ready to move on to pouring the candle wax. If you are using the silicone loaf mold, then you will need to pour your red candle wax in another cavity. Anyone that is using a different candle wax mold can use that mold at this time. Again, you will want to wait for the candle wax to step up before moving on to the next step in the process.

Snap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Cutting the Red Candle WaxSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Cutting the Red Candle Wax

Once your red candle wax has completely set up, you are ready to remove this portion of the candle wax from the mold. Then, you will need to use a knife to cut your red wax portion into chunks. Again, your chunks should be a bit uneven. Also, you should remember to keep any smaller shavings that you create.  If you add both shavings of wax and larger pieces, it gives you melts added interest.

Add the snap bar tart embedsSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Add the Candle Wax Chunks to the Mold

For the next part, you are going to need both the red and blue chunks of wax. You will need to mix these two colors together. If you would like, you can mix them together in a separate bowl. Once you have these colors mixed up, you are going to need to get your mold. So, you will need to get the break bar mold. Then, spread out your wax chunks and shavings all throughout the mold.

Melting the White Wax PortionSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Melting the White Wax Portion

Now you are going to create the white portion of your wax tart recipe. So, you are going to want to add 4.5 ounces of Pillar of Bliss Wax in the pouring pot. Then, you will need to melt this candle wax using your double boiler.

Scenting the White Wax PortionSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Creating the White Wax Portion

Once you have your wax melted, you are ready to add the scent and wax colorant. So, you will want to add 0.45 ounces of the fragrance oil to your melted wax. Also, you will want to add a small amount of the white color block to your melted wax. You will want to stir until all of these candle making ingredients are mixed together well. You will want to allow the temperature of the wax to cool to about 145 degrees Fahrenheit. This will ensure that your candle mold doesn’t melt when you pour the white candle wax.

Filling the MoldSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Filling the Mold

Once your candle wax has reached the proper temperature you will be ready to move on to the next step. So, you will need to take your white candle wax and pour it into the mold. You will need to pour this wax directly on top of your red and blue wax chunks.

Removing the snap bar wax tarts from the moldSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Removing the Wax From the Mold

After your scented wax melts have completely cooled you are ready for the next step. So, take the breakable wax melts and remove them from the mold.

Breaking up the snap bar wax tartsSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Break Up Your Scented Wax

Next, you are going to break your wax melt chunk into pieces. Your wax melts will break into shapes that are similar to chocolate bark. After you have these pieces broken, you simply need to package your wax melts and let it cure.

Using your snap bar wax tartsSnap Bar Wax Tarts Recipe: Using Your Finished Wax Melts

Once your wax tarts have cured, you are ready to use them! These wax melts smell too good not to use. All you will need to do is add a big chunk or a few smaller pieces to your wax tart warmer. Then, your home will be smelling its best in no time at all!

Not only does this candle wax recipe use great candle making ingredients, like our candle wax wholesale and fragrance oil for wax melts, but this recipe looks like a pretty spring flower! So, check out one of our candle blogs below to learn how to make wax melts just like this!

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Clean and Sanitize

Before you begin to create your handmade wax melts recipe, you will want to make a few preparations. First, gather your ingredients for this wax tarts recipe. It can be useful to get everything that you need before making your flower wax melts to have the process go easier. Also, you will want to sanitize any craft equipment that you will need for this recipe. Next, you will want to prepare an area for a work space. Further, it is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while you prepare this candle wax recipe. After you have made these preparations, you will be ready to work on making this homemade craft recipe!

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Making the Double Boiler

Next you are going to want to create the double boiler for this recipe. While you will still need to stir, the double boiler will be useful for preventing your wax from scorching. To create this device you will need two pots that will fit into each other. In the larger pot, you will add water, which will be heated to a boil. Your pouring pot will act as the smaller pot for this recipe. Now, you will want to heat your water. Once the water is at a boil, set your pouring pot inside to melt the candle wax inside.

White Color Block
Embed Mold Daisies
Thermometer
Pouring Pot
Disposable Pipette

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Other Needed Ingredients and Supplies

Mixing Spoon
Scale
Pots (for double boiler)
Portion Cups

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Needed Weights and Amounts

A Small Amount of a Bayberry Color Block
1.85 ounces of the Dreama Fragrance Oil
A Small Amount of a Yellow Color Block
13.5 ounces of the Palm Pillar Wax
4.75 ounces of the Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax
A Small Amount of a White Color Block

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Melting the Yellow Candle WaxDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Melting the Yellow Candle Wax

First, you are going to create the flower embeds for your candle wax tarts recipe . So, you are going to need to melt down the wholesale candle wax with the pouring pot. Of course, you should use the pouring pot that is used to make your double boiler. You will need to weigh out 0.25 ounces of the Pillar of Bliss Wax. Then, you will be ready to add the candle wax to this pouring pot. You will need to stir your mixture as the wax melts down. This will both move the process along and prevent scorching.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Adding the Finishing TouchesDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Adding the Finishing Touches

Now, you are going to add a few finishing touches to this portion of the melted wax. So, you will need to add a very small amount of a yellow color dye block. You will need to stir to fully incorporate this candle colorant. This candle wax color will be used to create the yellow center of the embed flowers. Although we are adding a colorant, we are not going to add a scent to this small portion of the candle wax. Since this is a small portion of the wax melt, it won’t make much of a difference to leave it unscented.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Creating the Center of the FlowerDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Creating the Center of the Flower

Next, you will need to use this yellow wax to create the center of your embed flowers. So, you will need to get your Daisies Embed Mold ready to use to create the flowers. Then, you will need to use a disposable pipette to fill the center of the embed flower mold. Just take some of the melted yellow wax in the pipette and add it to the center of the flowers. Also, you will want to be careful that you only fill the center part of the mold.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Melting the White Candle WaxDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Melting the White Candle Wax

The second part that we will create is the white portion of the flower embed mold. This will be used to create the petals of the flower. You are going to add 4.5 ounces of the Pillar of Bliss Wax to the pouring pot in the double boiler. Once all of your wax has melted, you are going to add a small portion of a white color block to the wax. Be sure that you mix to fully incorporate the candle colorant.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Scent and Pour the Embed DaisiesDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Scent and Pour the Embed Daisies

Now, you are going to add the fragrance oil and create your embed daisies. First, you are going to add 0.45 ounces of the fragrance oil to the melted wax. You will need to stir in the scented oil to fully incorporate the scent. Next, you are going to pour the white candle wax. Since the yellow wax should be set up at this point, you will be able to pour this white portion of the embed mold directly on top of the yellow wax. After all of your daisy cavities are filled, you are ready to move on to the next step.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Removing the Embed DaisiesDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Removing the Embed Daisies

Once the wax for your daisies has completely set up, you can remove them from the mold. If the wax has not yet set up, you can set the mold aside for the moment. You can always come back to pop out the daisies later on in the candle making process. For now, you can move on to the next part of the process of making the best wax tarts!

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Melt the Wax Melt BaseDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Melt the Wax Melt Base

Next, you are going to prepare the base of the wax tarts. Again, you are going to need your pouring pot in the double boiler. So, weigh out and add 13.5 ounces of the Palm Pillar Wax to the pouring pot. As your wax melts, you will want to make sure that you stir occasionally.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Adding the Color and ScentDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Adding the Color and Scent

Once your candle wax has completely melted, you will be ready to add the colorant to your wax! So, you are going to use a small amount of the bayberry color block to get a pretty green color. As the color dye block melts, you will want to stir in the candle colorant. After the melted wax has an even color throughout the wax, you will be ready to move on to the next step.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Adding the Color and ScentDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Adding the Color and Scent

Once your wax has been melted and colored, you will be ready to add the scented oil. So, you are going to need to measure and incorporate 1.35 ounces of the Dreama Fragrance Oil. This fragrance begins with notes of oakmoss and lilies. The scent continues with middle notes of ylang ylang and jasmine. Further, the scent has a base of amber, musk, and sandalwood. So, this is a fantastic aroma to include in your wax melts. Again, you will need to stir to make sure that your scented wax includes the fragrance evenly.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Creating the Wax Tart BaseDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Creating the Wax Tart Base

Now that your green candle wax is melted and ready to use, you are going to need to set up your portion cups. These portion cups will act as the wax tart mold for this recipe. In total, you will need about 9 individual portion cups to create your wax melt base. So, you will use up your freshly melted candle wax to fill each of these portion cups. You will want to make sure that you leave a little bit of room to add the daisy on top. We recommend that you pour slightly above 3/4 of the way full. Once you have filled each of your portion cups, you will need to move on to the next step before your candle wax sets up completely.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Adding the Wax Embed DaisiesDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Adding the Wax Embed Daisies

Next, you are going to add your cute daisy embeds to the green wax tart base. You will want to make sure that you add your flower shaped wax melts to the top of the base before it entirely sets up. Of course, you will want to make sure that the wax base is set up enough that your flower won’t sink right through. However, the wax tart base will need to still have a soft surface. Once you reach this sweet spot, you will be ready to add each of your daisies to the soft candle wax.

Dreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Using Your Finished ProductDreama Wax Tarts Recipe: Using Your Finished Product

Finally, your wax tarts are finished and nearly ready for you to use! All you have left to do is wait for your wax tarts to set up completely and cure. After your wax tarts have hardened, you can wait to remove the wax tarts until after the curing process. The process of curing should only take about two or three days to make sure that the fragrance oil has settled. This will allow you to make wax tarts will be the best strongest wax melts that you can possibly make. If you want to ensure that the scent remains trapped, you can cover your wax tarts to help keep the scent trapped in the jar and allow it to really come alive.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe

There is something about Autumn and the holidays that make you want to create a warm, cozy home. I suppose it is similar to hibernating. If you are going to spend most of your time indoors during the cold weather, then making your home a snug place to come home to is your hibernation time. There is nothing better than walking in the front door of your home to warmth, family, pets and good smells to make you feel safe and happy to be there! Nature’s Garden’s Pecan Pie Wax Melts recipe will definitely give your home a wonderful, inviting smell of warm butter, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted pecans.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: A History of Pecan PiePecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: A History of Pecan Pie

While any information on how the Pecan Pie came to be is a little sketchy, it is for certain, that it started out as one type of dessert similar to the ingredients that were used and then evolved into a true Southern dessert using staple ingredients that were native to the area. The basis of this pie is sugar, butter, syrup (pre-Karo syrup days, it was cane syrup) and eggs. This is the basic recipe for Chess Pie, which has its own origin. However, the addition of pecans and whoever thought of adding it is a mystery that will never be solved, but let’s thank whoever felt like spicing up their dessert! A personal favorite addition to my pecan pie? Chocolate drizzle and a dollop of ice vanilla ice cream! Mmmmm!  However, our inspiration for this project came from these pecan mini pies from Sugar Hero.  While, of course, our wax melts aren’t edible, her mini pecan pies are simply AMAZING! So, if this wax tart recipe, and sent leaves your belly grumbling, give her recipe a try.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Let’s Talk Ingredients

So before we move onto making our Pecan Pie Wax Melts, let’s familiarize ourselves with some of the ingredients we are using.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Pillar of Bliss Candle WaxPecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax

So anytime a recipe calls for a wax melt,  we will always use our Pillar of Bliss. The reason for that is that Pillar of Bliss is the best wax when we are using a mold for our creation. This wax has an easy release from the mold since it hardens up nicely. Most waxes, such as soy, are often too soft and can often difficult to get out of the mold. Pillar of Bliss is a granulated blend of soy wax (more than 50 percent) and paraffin wax. This wax has excellent scent retention as well as amazing hot and cold throws.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Joy Wax Candle WaxPecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Joy Wax Candle Wax

The next wax we will be using is our Joy Wax Candle Wax. This wax is also a blend of soy, veggie waxes, and paraffin. Joy Wax also has wonderful scent retention along with awesome hot and cold throws. Any time you would like to add a fluffy topping to any of your candle creations, this wax is perfect for that! As you will see, it can be whipped up into a puffy cloud of fluff! It’s perfect for use in dessert candles or wax melts!

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Granny’s Pecan Pie Fragrance Oil

This is one of my favorite home scents to use for the fall (or anytime actually). It has a warm aroma of brown sugar, vanilla, butter, and roasted pecans. This fragrance oil does amazing in all candle waxes that were tested. It also did very well when we tested in Cold Process soap. While it did discolor to a chocolate brown (which I think is a perfect color for a soap when using this fragrance) there was no acceleration, or ricing! It did, however, separate, yet it reabsorbed with no problem. I am sure that this would be a perfect fragrance to add to your fall/holiday line of products.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Other Ingredients and Equipment You will Need

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Before You Get Started

Before you get started on your wax melts, it is always good to prepare your work area. Clean your work area and also your equipment that you will be using. Make sure that you have all your ingredients and utensils handy and within reaching distance. These few steps will help ensure that your creating will run smoothly and uninterrupted. If this is your first time working with candle wax, you might like to familiarize yourself with how to make candles. Follow this link to get a quick rundown on melting and pour temperatures and also proper temperatures for adding fragrances.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Preparing Your Double Boiler

The first step before starting your wax melts will be to set up your double boiler. If you know the process of setting up a double boiler, you can move on to the next step of prepping your wax. However, if you are unfamiliar with a double boiler, we can explain to you how it is done in a few easy steps.

First, you will need a large pot or even an old cake pan for the outside part of your double boiler. Place this onto your heating element. This can be your stove top or even a hot plate. Next, pour about 3 inches of water into the pot or pan. Then, you will need a smaller pot or a pouring pot, for the inside part of the double boiler. As a side note, it isn’t really necessary, however, it is so much easier pouring melted wax into the molds if your pot has a pouring spout. That is why a pouring pitcher is ideal as the inner part of your double boiler. Next, turn your burner on to medium heat to allow the water to warm up as you are preparing your wax.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Preparing the  Wax for the BasesPecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Preparing the  Wax for the Bases

First, you will be preparing the bases of the wax melts. For this step, you will need the Pillar of Bliss Wax. On your scale, set your pouring pot and tare out the weight. Weigh out 325 grams of Pillar of Bliss Wax.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Adding the candle dyes and fragrance oilPecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Adding the candle dyes and fragrance oil

Next, place the pouring pot into the larger part of your double boiler and allow the wax to melt to the proper temperature, stirring occasionally. While you are waiting for the wax to melt, you can weigh out the fragrance oil. To a small dish, weigh out 32 grams of Granny’s Pecan Pie fragrance oil. You can set this aside for the moment. Once your wax has reached the correct melting point, remove the pouring pot from the heat and you can now add in the liquid candle dyes. We are going for a pecan color so you will add in 3 drops of yellow liquid candle dye and 4 drops of brown liquid candle dye. Stir this well to incorporate the color thoroughly.

Once the wax has reached the correct temperature for the fragrance oil, you can now add that, once again stirring well to completely disperse the oil throughout the wax.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Pouring the WaxPecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Pouring the Wax

Now that your melted wax is colored and scented, you will be pouring the wax into their molds. With the silicone mini muffin mold in front of you, carefully fill each mold to the top with the melted wax. Once these are all filled, allow them to set up completely until they have cooled. Pop them out of the muffin cavities and place them on a piece of wax paper. You can set these aside for the moment.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Preparing the  Pecan EmbedsPecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Preparing the  Pecan Embeds

Next, you will be preparing the Pecan Embeds. For the embeds, you will notice we are using a mold from Flexible Molds. This company offers many different types of molds to fit any of your soap or candle making needs. They are very durable molds, that will last you a long time! So, to your pouring pot weigh out 50 grams of Pillar of Bliss candle Wax and place it into the larger pot of heated water. Melt this wax down to the proper temperature. While you are waiting for this wax to melt, weigh out 5 grams of Granny’s Pecan Pie fragrance oil into a small bowl and set this aside for the moment.

For the color of the pecans, you will only need a small amount. So, using a toothpick to add the color, swirl in a small amount of yellow and brown liquid candle dye. The pecans do not have to be the same exact shade as the bases of the wax melts. It is okay if they are a bit lighter. Stir the liquid color until it is fully blended. Now you can add in the pre-weighed fragrance oil and stir this well also. Next, you will pour the melted wax into the pecan embeds mold carefully. Once again, you will let these set up until cool before removing them from the mold. Since the mold has only 6 cavities, you will need to remelt any of the wax remaining in the pot to pour the second set of pecans.  Set the pecans aside on a piece of wax paper until later.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Preparing the Chocolate DrizzlePecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Preparing the Chocolate Drizzle

Next, you will be preparing the chocolate drizzle. For this, you will need the joy wax. In your pouring pot, weigh out 20 grams of Joy wax. Melt the wax completely and then add in 2 grams of Granny’s Pecan Pie fragrance oil. Then, using the toothpick method, add in both black and brown liquid candle dye. Stir this well to fully incorporate the fragrance and color.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Drizzling the Chocolate

Now, you will drizzle the chocolate wax over the bases of your pecan pies. So, using a spoon, dip it into the wax and holding it above the bases, drizzle the wax back and forth over the pies until you have used all the wax, or until you are satisfied with your drizzle.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Preparing the Whipped Topping

The next step is preparing the whipped topping of the pies. As a side note, if you are using the same pouring pot as in the previous steps, you will want to clean out the pot completely using paper towels. This is only necessary since the whipped topping will be white with no color. Any leftover colored wax may cause your wax to have a tint. So, in your cleaned out pouring pot, weigh out 120 grams of Joy Wax. Place into the heated water and melt, stirring occasionally.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Creating the whipped toppingPecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Creating the whipped topping

So once the joy wax has completely melted, remove the pouring pot from the heat source and add in 12 grams of Granny’s Pecan Pie fragrance and stir this well to combine. For this step, you can use a mixer or even just a spoon. As your wax is cooling down, it will begin to thicken. As it begins to thicken, mix the wax to create a whipped topping consistency. Once you have your wax to whipped consistency, place a dollop on top of each cupcake base.

Pecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Adding the Pecan EmbedsPecan Pie Wax Melts Recipe: Adding the Pecan Embeds

Next, place a pecan embed on top of each whip topped pie. Press down so the embed adheres to the top snugly. This recipe creates 12 wax melts. Pecan Pie Wax Melts are ready to use! Simply place one in your wax burner and enjoy the warm, comforting aroma that will fill your home!

Sometimes you just need something cute and pretty to give yourself a break. So, we created these strawberries and cream cookie shaped wax melts. They are easy to create and will make using a wax melter even more fun than before!

Wax Melts Recipe Prepare Your Work Area

Before you begin you will want to make a few preparations to ensure that your process is as problem free as possible. When you are creating anything, you will want to make sure that the area you are working in is safe for both yourself and your product. This means you should make sure that everything other than your ingredients and supplies have been cleaned up. This will make sure that there is nothing in your work space that could fall over or hinder your crafting in any way.

Also, you will want to sanitize all of the supplies that you need for this craft. No one wants dirt and filth in their candle wax, so it is a great idea to make sure that nothing will be able to get into your wax. Not only do you need to clean your countertop, pouring pot, and bowls, but you will need to clean the molds, spoons, and thermometer, too. This will prevent anything from sticking to a utensil as you work. It could be very easy to not notice a speck of dirt on your spatula until it is swimming in your melted wax, which can be a pain to remove. Plus, some may even sneak by and make it into your final product. So, just get cleaned up before you begin working!

Wax Melts Recipe Creating the Double Boiler

Additionally, you will want to know how to create a double boiler for this recipe. Knowing how to do this is important because it will help to prevent your ingredients from burning. When you don’t use this method, your wax can get too hot too quickly and could scorch before you even notice. However, this method uses boiling water to keep the heat at a level where the wax will melt and not get too hot.

So, you will be using a pouring pot and a regular pot for creating this device. Take the pouring pot and make sure that it will fit comfortably inside the other pot with room on either side. Now, remove your pouring pot and add about an inch of water to the regular pot. You will need to place your pouring pot into the water. Later, you will add heat to get the pot of water. Then, you will add your container candle wax to your pouring pot. Finally, your pouring pot will be placed into the pan containing the water. You may add or pour out water to get the right level for your specific pot size, just make sure that that water is touching the bottom of the pouring pot.

Wax Melts Recipe Creating the Vanilla Wafers Portion

First, we will be creating the vanilla wafer cookies portion of this recipe. This portion will end up looking like a bunch of pink wafer cookies and will be used to create the cookie sandwich later on. After, you will be setting these pink, wax wafers aside as you make the filling to finish off your strawberries and cream cookie wax melts.

Wax Melts Recipe Melting the Pillar of Bliss WaxWax Melts Recipe Melting the Pillar of Bliss Wax

Now, you will be using the Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax for your vanilla wafers. So, weigh out 90 grams of the Pillar of Bliss Wax and transfer it into your pouring pot. Set the wax filled pouring pot back into the regular pot of water. Turn on your stove top and get your water to start boiling. Melt the wax and bring the temperature to 195 degrees. As you are heating make sure to occasionally stir the wax to further prevent burning. After all the wax has melted you can move on to the next step.

Wax Melts Recipe Adding Color to the Pillar of Bliss Candle WaxWax Melts Recipe Adding Color to the Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax

Next, you are going to add the color to the melted wax. You will want to add the candle colorant at 195 degrees to ensure it will mix full into the wax. So, cut off a tiny piece of your color block and add it to the melted wax. Make sure not to start off with too much as you will not be able to remove the color once it has melted and been fully incorporated. Once you have added the red color block, stir to fully disperse the candle colorant. Further, you will want to test the color of your wax before you move on. You can easily test the wax color to see if it’s going to be right before it all sets up. So, take a spoon and scoop up a tiny bit of the colored wax. Now, add a drip of the wax to a white paper plate, napkin, or another white disposable object. It shouldn’t take long to dry, but once it does you will be able to see the color your wax will be after it dries. After, you can add more and retest if you feel like the color you have is not quite right.

Next, you are going to add fragrance to the wax and pour it into your molds. First, you are going add the fragrance oil to your melted wax. Now, you can turn off your stove top and allow the wax temperature to drop to 180 degrees. Then, weigh out 9 grams of the Strawberries and Cream Fragrance Oil and add it to the pink colored wax. Make sure to mix well to incorporate the scent evenly.  Second, you will be pouring the wax into your molds. You will want to pour the wax around 165 degrees. Finally, allow the cookie portion of your melt to setup.

Wax Melts Recipe Removing the Wafers From the MoldsWax Melts Recipe Removing the Wafers From the Molds

Now, are going to finish up the first portion of your craft. So, once all of your wax wafers to fully set up remove all of the wafers from the vanilla wafer mold. After all of your wafers are removed from the mold you will want to set these pink wafers aside until it is time to assemble the final cookie sandwich wax melts.

Wax Melts Recipe Creating the Whipped Filling Portion

Next, we will be creating the filling portion of your wax melt cookie. This wax will be whipped and used to fill the center of the cookie. So, this part will be sandwiched between two of the pink vanilla wafers we have already created. After this portion is complete it will be time to assemble the wax melt cookie.

Wax Melts Recipe Melting the Joy Wax for the FillingWax Melts Recipe Melting the Joy Wax for the Filling

First, you are going to be melting the Joy Wax. You are going to want to have your pouring pot completely cleaned out. Otherwise, your filling will have a pink hue, which is not what we want. Then, add 90 grams of your Joy Candle Wax to the cleaned pouring pot. Melt this the same way that you melted the other wax for the wafers, which means you will need to use a double boiler. Once the wax has melted you will be adding 9 grams of the Strawberries and Cream Fragrance Oil. However, you will not be adding any color blocks or pigments to this portion.

Wax Melts Recipe Whip the Candle WaxWax Melts Recipe Whip the Candle Wax

Next, you are going to be whipping the Joy Wax. So, transfer your uncolored wax to a small mixing bowl. While you can keep the wax in the pouring pot, it will be easier for you to whip the wax in a shallow bowl. In addition, it will cool a bit faster. As the Joy Wax is beginning to get thicker you will want to whip the wax with a spoon or rubber spatula. Keep whipping until the wax reaches a consistency of whipped cream. After, you are ready for the next step.

Wax Melts Recipe Add the Filling to the WafersWax Melts Recipe Add the Filling to the Wafers

Finally, you are going to be assembling the cookie wax melts. So, retrieve your pink vanilla wafers and lay them in your work space. Take six of these pink wafers and lay them with their flat side facing up. These will be the bottoms of your strawberries and cream cookie shaped wax melts and the other six wafers will be the tops of the cookie.

Now, you will be adding the filling and will need to work quickly to make sure the top wafer cookie sticks to the wax filling. So, take a scoop of the wax and add it to one of your six bottom cookies. Quickly, take a top cookie and firmly place this on top of the filling you just added. Now, you have one completed wax tart cookie! You will need to repeat this filling process for your five other wax cookies. After, you will need to let the six cookie sandwiches set up completely, but for the most part, your project is complete!

Wax Melts Recipe Finishing Up and Using the Wax Melt Cookies

Now, you are almost ready to use your wax melts! All you will need to do now is to wait a few days for your wax melts to cure completely. Just like candles, the wax will need to rest a few days to be able to perform its best. Waiting a few days will provide you with a better scent when you add them to your wax tart warmers. Also, be sure to keep them covered while they are curing. While it may drive you crazy to have to wait for these little cuties, it will all be worth it in the end!

After, you are finally ready to use your wax melts! Not only are these little cookies super cute, but they are super easy to use, too. Simply take one of your strawberries and cream cookie wax melts and add it to your wax tart warmer. In no time at all, you will be surrounded by the sweet scent of our lovely Strawberries and Cream Fragrance Oil. We hope that you will enjoy this wax melts recipe!

Candy Corn  Tarts candy corn tar

Our Candy Corn Tarts Recipe is inspired by that very popular Halloween treat that is loved by so many.  In fact, these tiny little pieces of sugary goodness are so cherished that they have their very own holiday.  It’s October 30th just for anyone that wants to celebrate with me.  With Natures Garden’s easy to follow candy corn tarts recipe you can fill your house with that same warm vanilla candy corn scent that you loved as a kid.  As an added bonus, we have packaged them in our easy to use clamshell containers.  That means no mold needed and instant packing!

Ingredients:

10 ½ oz. Pillar of Bliss Wax

1oz bottle of Orange Spectrum Liquid Candle Dye

1oz bottle of Yellow Spectrum Liquid Candle dye

3 tsp.  Candy Corn Fragrance Oil

Pouring Pot

3 Clamshell Containers

Stainless Steel Measuring Spoon

Measuring Cup

Stirring Spoon

3 Paper Bowls

Tooth Picks

Scale

Directions:

  1. Using a double boiler, weigh out and melt 10 ½ oz. of Pillar of Bliss Wax until it is completely melted.  You will need three empty clamshell containers ready.

  1. First you will want to prepare the orange layer.  Pour 1/3 of the melted Pillar of Bliss Wax into a paper bowl, then use a toothpick and dip it into the Orange Spectrum Liquid Candle Dye and mix it into the Pillar of Bliss Wax.  You will want to keep the remaining wax on the double boiler so that it does not solidify.

  1. Stir in 1 tsp. Candy Corn Fragrance Oil to the orange wax and fold your bowl into a spout to dispense the orange layer into the first 1/3 of each cavity of the three clamshell containers.  Allow this layer to setup before moving to step 4.

  1. Next, it is time to prepare the white layer.  Pour 1/3 of the Pillar of Bliss Wax from the stove into a paper bowl and stir in 1 tsp. Candy Corn Fragrance Oil.  Then, pour the white mixture into the next 1/3 of the empty space in the clamshell cavities
