Grape Soda Pop Bath Bomb Recipe: A Note About This Recipe

Since this bath and body recipe is activated by water, you will find that this bath and body recipe is best prepared in climates that aren’t very humid.  If your climate is a bit too humid, your bath bombs might over activate due to the moisture in the air. Of course, you will want to use disposable gloves on your hands to break up these lumps. Once the baking soda is smooth, you can move on to the next step.

So, you are going to add a few drops of the Ultramarine Violet FUN Soap Colorant. After adding some of this colorant to your mixture, you will need to use your clean, gloved hands to mix everything together well. If you want a deeper purple, you can add a few more drops of the colorant and mix everything again.

Grape Soda Pop Bath Bomb Recipe: Activating the Bath Bombs Mixture

Next, you are going to grab your grape scented, purple colored bath and body mixture. Now, you are going to want to grab the bottle of witch hazel. Further, you will want to be careful that you don’t over spray. Adding too much witch hazel can potentially activate your mixture in the bowl and ruin the bath bomb.

Grape Soda Pop Bath Bomb Recipe: Filling Your Bath Bomb MoldGrape Soda Pop Bath Bomb Recipe: Filling Your Bath Bomb Mold

Next, you are going to be filling the top and bottom halves of your bath bomb molds. So, you will need to separate your bath bomb mold halves. Then, take one of these bath bomb molds and begin filling it with your bath and body mixture. You will want to make sure that you press firmly so that you pack the mixture tightly into the cosmetic mold. Once each side of these bath bomb bottom halves are filled, you can set them aside for now. After all of your mixture has been pressed into the molds, you can move on to the next step in the process.

460 grams of the Baking Soda
10 grams of the Bentonite Clay Powder
14 grams of the Cotton Candy Fragrance Oil

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Clean and Sanitize

First of all, we would like to let you know that this bath recipe is best prepared in non-humid climates. While you can try to make this cosmetic recipe in a more humid environment, it may take longer for these bath fizzies to set up and completely harden.

Also, you should clean up your work space and bath bomb making supplies before you begin to work on your diy bath recipe. First of all, washing your craft supplies will help to prevent you from accidentally getting your cosmetic recipe dirty. Plus, cleaning up your work space will give you more space to work that is clean and ready to use. So, creating your sweet cotton candy scented bath bombs will be easier and lead to a cleaner product.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Before Making Your Bath Bomb

Before you begin this fun bath and body recipe, you will need to prepare a bottle of witch hazel. This bottle of witch hazel will be used later on in the process. This witch hazel will be used to activate the bath fizzy mixture before you fill the bath bombs. So, you will want to fill up your 8 oz bullet bottle with witch hazel. Then, screw on the spray bottle lid. Now, you can set this spray bottle aside until you need it at a later step.

Also, you will want to use disposable gloves for this bath bomb recipe. Wearing gloves will allow you to use your hands to mix your bath and body ingredients. So, it will be easier to mix your cosmetic ingredients thoroughly and evenly. Plus, wearing  gloves will help you to keep your cosmetic recipe clean as you are mixing your bath bomb ingredients.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Weighing the Baking SodaCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Weighing the Baking Soda

First, you are going to want to weigh out 460 grams of the Baking Soda powder. Then, you will want to add this cosmetic ingredient to your medium sized mixing bowl. Once you have your measured amount of baking soda, you will need to break up any clumps in this cosmetic ingredient. We would suggest that you use your clean, gloved hands to break up any of these clumps. Once the baking soda powder is completely smooth and free of any clumps, you are ready to move on to the next step.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Adding Cosmetic Clay and Citric AcidCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Adding Cosmetic Clay and Citric Acid

After your baking soda is free of clumps, you are going to want to add the remaining cosmetic ingredients to your medium mixing bowl. So, you will need to add 350 grams of the Citric Acid as well as 10 grams of the Bentonite Clay Powder. Then, you will use your gloved hands to mix these three dry cosmetic ingredients together. After these bath bomb ingredients are mixed together well, you are ready to move on to the next step of this process.

Cotton Candy Fragrance OilCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Adding the Fragrance Oil

Next, we are going to be adding the delicious aroma of our Cotton Candy Fragrance Oil to the bath bomb recipe. This scented oil has an aroma that blends the scent of fresh, juicy strawberries and scrumptious notes of French vanilla. You will need to weigh out 14 grams of this yummy wholesale fragrance oil. Then, you will add this scented oil to your cosmetic mixture. After, you will mix the sugary sweet aroma of this fragrance oil with your cosmetic ingredients. You can use your gloved hands to mix this scent fully into your cosmetic ingredients.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring Your Cosmetic Recipe

Now that your cosmetic ingredients are mixed together, you are ready to color your bath recipe. So, you are going to want to separate your bath bomb mixture into two equal portions. Once you have two mixing bowls that each contain half of the total cosmetic mixture, you are ready to add the cosmetic colorants to each of your bath bomb mixtures. Since pink and blue are two of the most iconic cotton candy colors, we are going to use these two colors for this bath and body recipe!

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Pink PortionCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Pink Portion

Next, you are going to need to grab one of the two bowls that contain half of the mixture portion. This half of the mixture is going to be the pink half of your finished bath bomb. In order for you to get a pretty pink color, you will need to add the neon pink FUN Soap Colorant to this bath bomb mixture. You will want to add a few drops of this colorant and mix everything together. After the colorant is mixed in, you can decide whether you need to add a few more drops of the colorant. After adding this cosmetic colorant to your mixture, you will use your gloved hands to fully mix the colorant into your other cosmetic ingredients until you have an even pink color.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Blue PortionCotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Coloring the Blue Portion

Now, you are ready to color the remaining portion of your total bath and body mixture. First, you are going to need to change your gloves to avoid accidentally mixing in the pink colorant from the previous portion. After you have clean gloves, you will be ready to mix in the Neon Blue FUN Soap Colorant. You will want to mix in a few drops of this cosmetic colorant into your mixture until you have an even blue color. Then, you can decide whether you want to add more colorant to get a brighter, more vivid blue color.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Activating Your Mixture

Now that both halves of your cosmetic mixtures are scented and colored, you are ready to activate your bath bomb mixtures. For each of these two mixtures, you will need the bottle of witch hazel that you have previously prepared. Then, lightly spray the witch hazel into the bowl and mix the ingredients together with your gloved hands. You will want to continue to spray and mix until you have a consistency of crumbly dough. You will need to be careful not to spray too much witch hazel, as you could potentially activate the bath bomb mixture in the bowl. After one of the mixture portions are at the right consistency, you will need to repeat this step with the other portion.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Filling the Bath Bomb Molds

Next, you are ready to fill up your bath bomb molds. You will want to firmly press the bath bomb mixture into the bath bomb mold. Once the bath bomb mixture is pressed tightly into the mold, you can fill all the remaining bath bomb mold halves. After you have filled all the halves with the pink, you will want to repeat the process with the blue mixture.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Note for Filling the Molds

For each bath bomb mold you are going to want to have half pink and half blue. So, you will want to pay attention to which side of the bath bomb mold that you are filling. We would suggest filling the tops of your mold with the pink color and the bottom of the bath bomb mold with the blue color. This method of filling your cosmetic molds will help to make sure that you don’t end up with a bath bomb that is only one color.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Putting Together Your Bath Bomb Molds

Now that all of your bath bomb halves are completely filled and packed tightly, you are ready to combine the top and bottom of your bath bombs! So, you will need a pink half and a blue half. Each of these two halves will need to be lightly sprayed with witch hazel. Then, you will need to press these two halves together until you can tell that the bath bomb mold snaps shut. You will need to repeat this step with the other bath bomb mold halves until you have about four complete bath fizzies.

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Finishing Up Your Bath Bomb

Before you can remove your bath fizzies from the mold, you need to wait for them to set up completely. If your recipe hasn’t completely hardened before you remove them from the mold, then they may break or even crumble. So, you will want to wait until the fizzies are hard, which can take a few days to a week. The time it takes will depend on the level of humidity in your area. Once your bath and body recipes have hardened, you are ready to use your bath fizzies! If you aren’t ready to use the cotton candy bath fizzies right away, then you can even leave them in the mold for a simple packaging idea!

Cotton Candy Bath Fizzy Recipe: Making Cotton Candy at Home

Not only can you enjoy the delicious aroma of these cotton candy bath bombs, but you can make some real cotton candy right at home! Bath Bomb Without Citric AcidBath Bomb Without Citric Acid

Kick this Valentines Day off with a super cute bath bomb! Not only does this recipe create a bath bomb without citric acid, but its absolutely adorable. While bath bombs are well loved by nearly everyone, we have had a lot of requests for a bath bomb recipe without citric acid. So, we’ve created this cute kissing lips recipe with Cream of Tartar instead of citric acid. We hope that you enjoy this recipe and are as excited as we are for these super cute bath bombs. Personally, I think that these pretty pink smooching lips are the perfect gift for this holiday of love and romance. So, why not give your loved one a gift that lets them feel relaxed and pampered? Just try it out and let your special someone know that you care!

8 oz. Clear Bullet Bottles

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Equipment That You’ll Need

Bowl

Scale

Witch Hazel

Measuring Cup

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Amounts of Ingredients

2 cups of Baking Soda – Sodium Bicarbonate

1 cup of Cream of Tartar

20 grams of Sunflower Oil

14 grams of Love Juice Fragrance Oil

5 grams of Neon Pink Fun Soap Colorant

2 Lips Mold Market Molds

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Cleaning and Preparing

Before you start creating this bath bomb recipe make sure that you clean up your work space and make sure all the equipment you need is sanitized. We suggest that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net during the preparation of these bath bombs.

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Baking Soda and Cream of Tartar

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Baking Soda and Cream of TartarFirst, you will need to grab your bowl and a measuring cup. Measure two cups of the baking soda into the bowl. Next, measure one cup of Cream of Tartar into the bowl as well. Mix these together these two ingredients well. Although you will be mixing more throughout the recipe, it can only help to continue to mix as you add ingredients to more evenly disperse the added components.  Additionally, you will want to make sure you break up any clumps you find in the powders.

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Adding The Oils

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Adding The OilsInitially, you will be adding the fragrance to the bath bomb mixture. So, place your bowl on the scale and add 14 grams of the Love Juice Fragrance Oil. Mix the scent into the powder to disperse the fragrance oil before the next step. Next, you will be including the sunflower oil. Again, place the bowl on the scale and weigh out 20 grams of the Sunflower Oil into the bowl. Now, mix in the oils very well.

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Coloring Your Bath Bomb

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Coloring Your Bath BombNext, you will be adding the Neon Pink Fun Soap Colorant to the bath bombs. Take the bowl of mixed ingredients and your scale. Weigh out 5 grams of the Neon Pink Colorant into the bowl. We recommend that you don’t add all of the colorant in one area in the bowl. Mix the colorant into the recipe thoroughly and avoid leaving any flecks of pink unmixed.

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Adding The Witch Hazel

Initially, you will need to spray the mixture with witch hazel. However, you need to be sure that you do not add too much witch hazel at one time. Otherwise, the mixture will fizz. If the mixture fizzes too much, then the recipe will not stick together and the bath bomb will be ruined. So, the first step is to spray the witch hazel one or two times into the bowl. Second, you will mix this ingredient into the recipe thoroughly. You will repeat these two steps of adding witch hazel and mixing. You will continue repeating until the recipe can stick together and can hold its form.  You want to have a crumbly dough like consistency.

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Filling The Molds

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Filling The MoldsFinally, pack the finished bath bomb mixture into the lips mold market molds. You will need to push the mix into the mold hard so that no empty air pockets remain. If the recipe is not put into the mold well enough the shape may not be maintained by the bath bombs. I would recommend that you put a small portion of the bath bomb into one of the molds and push hard. Then, add some more and push on this as well. This method will make it easier for you to prevent the empty space that would ruin the shape of the lips.

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Removing The Bath Bombs From The Molds

Eventually, you will be able to remove your bath bombs from the molds. Make sure that you take great care when removing these bath bomb lips! Not only will it be very easy for you to remove the bath bombs, but the bath bombs need to remain in the molds overnight. If you remove the bath bomb lips too early they may fall apart, as they are extremely soft at first. Although setting overnight will make these bath bombs harder, you should still try to take care when you remove or handle these lip shaped bath bombs.

Additionally, the bath bombs will be extremely easy to remove from the molds. In fact, can easily slip right out when the mold is flipped upside down. When I removed my own batch of bath bombs, the lips slid out as soon as the mold was upside down. So, I would recommend using either another set of hands or slide some cardboard under the mold before you flip the mold.

Bath Bomb Without Citric Acid Using Cream of Tartar

Personally, I found that the Cream of Tartar bath bomb recipe to be not as great as the recipes we have done with citric acid. When we tested the, we noticed that this recipe is not as fizzy as the bath bombs that we’re used to using. When we were washing our equipment we noticed that this recipe for bath bombs was a lot less fizzy than recipes with citric acid. However, this recipe was extremely easy to remove from the mold in comparison to citric acid bath bombs. If you are looking to create bath bombs with a soap mold, then this recipe may work better for you.
