What is Spinach Powder Used for? At Natures Garden we use herbs, like Spinach Leaf Powder, for creating all sorts of lovely cosmetic products. This powered herb is perfect for adding to your homemade soap supplies, lotion making supplies, and supplies for many more wonderful cosmetic recipes. Not only can you use spinach as a natural colorant, but it is full of great properties and nutrients for the entire body. You can eat fresh leaves of spinach and you can use the spinach in a powdered herb to nourish your body inside and out! This is sure to maximize the exposure of these beneficial vitamins and minerals to your entire body.  So, let’s get into what exactly the properties are that these healthy greens have for our bodies.

What is Spinach Powder Used for? Growing ConditionsWhat is Spinach Powder Used for? Growing Conditions

Spinach plants prefer to grow in cooler temperatures. For common spinach, you will want to plant in midsummer. If you have a mild winter, you could even plant in the fall. However, this depends on your climate. Either way, the soil should not be over 70 degrees Fahrenheit for your seeds. However, your spinach is able to survive all the way down to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Once your spinach sprouts are about two inches high, you should thin them to be about three inches apart. After this, all you have to do is water regularly and use mulch to keep them moist. You can harvest the leaves whenever they are big enough, but you should try to cut the outer leaves first. This will ensure that the middle leaves can continue to grow.

One wonderful tip for reducing damage due to leaf miners is to plant radishes. The radishes will not only distract the pests from your spinach, but the roots will continue to grow unaffected! While starting sprouts inside and transplanting them will be less appealing to pests like cutworms, there are other preventative measures you can take. For wireworms, can try to plant carrots nearby to trap these pests. Then, every few days after the carrot has reached maturity you can pull up the carrots, remove the worms, and replant the affected carrot. For flea beetles, you can try to lay reflective mulch or aluminum to ward them off. Also, there are baits, traps, and pesticides that you can get for your home garden for many kinds of major infestations.

Also, make sure that you don’t wash your spinach before storing and you will want to add a paper towel to your container. These will both help keep the moisture levels down and prevent premature wilting.

While this will help you keep your spinach fresh longer, you don’t want to have to store spinach long. Studies on folate in spinach have shown that about half of this vitamin’s amount was gone after seven days. If you have a lot of spinach grown, then you can try freezing to extend your storage time to about two or three months. Check out How to Store Spinach by Garden Guides to learn more tips on making your spinach last!

If you want to try out the Natures Garden Grapefruit Powder on your skin, you are sure to find some great benefits for your body. In fact, you can include this wholesale herb in many different bath and body recipes that will care for your skin and hair. Plus, there are some great medicinal benefits that have been found to be gained from eating this fresh fruit. Further, there are many ways to incorporate this fruit into your diet, through either homemade recipes or even just eating the plain fruit. So, you can use this natural cosmetic blog to find out more about the grapefuit herb and the other properties of grapefruits.

Grapefruit Benefits: Growing ConditionsGrapefruit Benefits: Growing Conditions

First of all, grapefruit trees will require a temperate or tropical climate. These conditions are ideal because these plants need lots of sunlight and warm conditions. In fact, they need it to be relatively warm both during the day as well as at night. So, more tropical regions may be best, but they can survive in temperate regions with some extra care. Also, the grapefruit trees like to have loamy soil that drains well.
Another thing you will want to pay attention to is the amount of space available for your tree to grow. When planting the tree try to pick a place on your land that will provide the most sun, some good winter protection, and at least twelve feet of space from buildings or driveways. After planting, you will want to water your sapling every couple of days. After about a week or so, you can start to water deeply just once a week. However, you may want to water more often during drought periods.

Grapefruit Benefits: Tips for Harvesting Grapefruits

During the first three years, you won’t have a harvest from a grapefruit tree. Instead, your grapefruit tree should direct its energy into growth. So, you may want to remove any small fruits that you see growing before the three year mark. Although you may be eager to try your homegrown fruit, picking these early fruits will ensure your tree grows to be strong. Once your tree is old enough, your fruits will be ready to be harvested in the fall. You will be able to tell they are ripe by their color. If the grapefruits have become a yellow or gold color, then they are ready to pick.

But, anyone that prefers their grapefruit on the sweeter side, like me, can leave the fruits on the tree a bit longer. This will allow them to get a bit larger and sweeter. However, use caution, they can be left on the tree for too long. An overripe grapefruit will appear lumpy and should be discarded.

Grapefruit Benefits: Industry Uses

There are all kinds of reasons to use grapefruit in a wide variety of products and recipes. First, you can use the abundance of vitamins and minerals available in this fruit to promote your health. Plus, you can incorporate more grapefruit though all kinds of delicious recipes. Also, your skin and hair can gain some wonderful benefits by including grapefruit in your bath and body making supplies. So, let’s get into some of the known benefits this fruit has for you.

Grapefruit Benefits: Medicinal UsesGrapefruit Benefits: Medicinal Uses

You can gain many benefits from eating grapefruit. First, this fruit has been found to be beneficial for the immune system. Studies have shown that the vitamins and minerals in grapefruits can be useful when it comes to getting over a cold, protecting against inflammation, and strengthening the protective barrier of your skin. Also, grapefruit can be useful for reducing your risk for diabetes. Diabetes occurs when the body has built up a resistance to insulin, which leads to higher insulin and sugar levels in the blood. So, this fruit has evidence that it can help reduce insulin levels and resistance to help get your body on track.

Another potential benefit of grapefruit is improved heart health. It is thought that the high potassium content in this fruit will relax your blood vessels and arteries. So, grapefruit should be able to help reduce your blood pressure and lessen the risk of heart attack or stroke. Furthermore, this can be useful for increasing blood flow and oxygen to the brain, which can promote better cognitive function. Plus, there is evidence that grapefruit can be useful for helping to treat fatigue and insomnia. It has been found that the tryptophan in grapefruit is useful for helping you get sleepy and have a great night’s sleep.

However, people on medications should contact their doctor to ensure that there won’t be any interactions. For certain medications, grapefruit can cause overdose or increase side effects. This interaction can occur as grapefruit contains substances that can inhibit an enzyme that is used to metabolize certain medications. So, anyone taking medications like immunosuppressants, statins, Carbamazepine, Indivavir, Bensodiazepines, and many calcium channel blockers should contact their doctor before increasing their grapefruit intake.

First, you are going to create the melt and pout peep bunny soaps. These will be used to top the cold process soap that you will be making some later steps. So, before you begin the portion of the recipe that deals with the cold process soap you will be creating eight bunny peeps with melt and pour soap. When the time comes, you can choose to have two of each color or have a different color combination off peep bunny soaps. But, we will provide the amounts needed to achieve the correct colors. So, lets start with the melt and pour.

Peeps Cold Process Soap Recipe Melting the Soap

Now, you are going to melt the soap needed to create the bunny peep soaps. Since each peep will require 40 grams of melt and pour soap and we are creating two at a time, we will begin by melting 80 grams of the Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap. Melt this in 30 second increments. After you color this portion of your soap, you will melt three additional portions in their own bowls to be colored.
