There are many different things that this natural herb can be used for, which include bath and body products as well as natural medicine. So, read below to learn a bit more about what you could do with the eucalyptus herb, the eucalyptus Essential Oil, or a food grade eucalyptus. Whether you create body products or create your own natural cold remedies, you are sure to see some benefits from the eucalyptus herb.

Eucalyptus Benefits: Growing ConditionsEucalyptus Benefits: Growing Conditions

The Eucalyptus plant species originate in Australia and some of the islands to its north, like the islands of New Guinea and Hawaii. Throughout all these places there a few hundred different species of eucalyptus.  These vary from the kinds we typically see koalas munching on to the beautiful rainbow eucalyptus trees of the Hawaiian Islands. However, both our eucalyptus Essential Oil and eucalyptus Leaf herb is from the eucalyptus globulus species of the eucalyptus family.

While these Eucalyptus plants may be accustomed to conditions in Australia and the northern islands, there are other areas of the world that have similar enough conditions. So, these trees can thrive in these areas as well. While some of the eucalyptus trees can make do with partial shade, most of these trees require full sunlight. Also, they require well draining or dry soils.

Another important aspect of these trees is that they cannot take cold temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit for extended periods of time. So, most gardeners in colder climates will keep their eucalyptus tree in containers to protect them from winter conditions. While these indoor trees won’t grow to be the typical 30 to 180 feet (which will need to be controlled with pruning), they will be a unique house plant that can provide fresh eucalyptus. Just make sure that your plant has the right conditions and you’re good!

Some people like to use it for natural cold remedies due to its beneficial properties. These wonderful properties include improving many respiratory conditions, as eucalyptus is effective for simulating both your immune system and respiratory circulation. This can even lead to helping a sore throat feel better and release the pressure in your sinuses as all the congestion caused by mucus begins to be broken up. Eucalyptus Benefits: Food and BeveragesEucalyptus Benefits: Food and Beverages

Although there are some medicinal uses for eucalyptus, like some cold medicines, ingesting large quantities of this herb is not a good idea. In fact, it is not a great idea to eat eucalyptus just for fun. Many people enjoy the antibacterial properties and the boost it can provide your immune system. But, we can’t eat too much eucalyptus. Eucalyptus leaves are covered in an oil that humans can’t digest well. So, humans cannot use it at too high of a dose internally.

However, Koala bears are perfectly adapted to consume these leaves. They are able to survive on only the leaves of eucalyptus and other gum trees. However, even the baby koalas need some help learning to digest these tough leaves. Until they grow up, they can’t digest the leaves well enough. So, the babies need their koala moms to help them digest. So, these leaves can even be challenging for the professional eucalyptus eaters! How to Use Spirulina Powder: Growing ConditionsHow to Use Spirulina Powder: Growing Conditions

Spirulina can be found growing in the lakes and ponds of Africa, Central America and South America. This algae prefers these warm lakes and their alkaline water conditions, around a pH range of 8-11. So, you won’t ever find Spirulina growing sea water. Also, it needs to have an abundance of sunlight and mineral rich water. Both the sun light and minerals are used by Spirulina as food sources. Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Measuring the Dry IngredientsChamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Measuring the Dry Ingredients

First, you are going to need to prepare the dry ingredients for this recipe. So, grab a medium mixing bowl and the scale. Now, weigh 300 grams of the Citric Acid, 600 grams of the Baking Soda, and 10 grams of the Kaolin Clay Powder into this mixing bowl. After all of these ingredients are added, you will need to mix them together. So, take a gloved hand and mix these ingredients well. Be sure that you break up any clumps that you may come across. Once these ingredients have been mixed, you can set this mixture aside for the moment.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Measuring the Wet Ingredients

Next, you will be preparing some of the other ingredients for this bath bomb recipe. So, take a new mixing bowl and the scale. Now, weigh the 18 grams of the macadamia nut oil and 18 grams of the Amazingly Grace Fragrance Oil into this bowl. In the following step, you will be using these wet ingredients.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Combining the Wet and Dry Ingredients Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Combining the Wet and Dry Ingredients

Now, you are ready to combine the wet and dry ingredients. An easy way to do this is to add the oils to your powder mixture. Once these ingredients are in the same bowl, you will need to use a gloved hand to thoroughly mix everything together. Once all the ingredients are evenly incorporated throughout the mixture and you have no clumps, you can move on to the next step.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Dividing the Mixture

Next, you will need to divide all of your mixed ingredients into two even portions. It will be easiest to keep one half in the same bowl and move the other half into the other mixing bowl that you had used previously. You will be using one of the portions in the next step and you can set aside the other portion for right now.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Herb PowderChamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Herb Powder

First, you will take one of your portions of the bath bomb mixture and add one of the cosmetic herbs. So, take one of these portions and add in 5 grams of the Chamomile Flowers Powder. Then, you will need to mix these ingredients thoroughly with your gloved hands. Once this herb is fully incorporated, you can move on to preparing the other portion.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Preparing the Bath Bomb Mixture for the Molds

Now, you will be ready to fill the first half of your bath bomb molds. Before you begin make sure that you are filling the correct half of the mold, as these molds will only fit together one way. So, you need to be careful to ensure your molds will be half and half. You will begin by spraying this portion of the mixture with witch hazel. Make sure that you mix with your hands as you spray, as this will help let you know when the dough is ready to use. Once the mixture feels like crumbly dough, you can stop spraying.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Filling the Bath Bomb Molds

At this point, you are ready to fill your bath bomb molds! So, take all of the bottoms of your molds and begin to fill them up. Make sure that you pack the dough into the mold tightly as you continue. This will ensure that the ingredients stick together and that the bath bomb holds its shape after being removed from the mold. After you have this portion used up, you should have about six bath bomb mold halves filled.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Whole Chamomile FlowersChamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Whole Chamomile Flowers

Next, you are going to be preparing the other half of your bath bomb mixture. Now, this portion will have 3 grams of the Chamomile Flowers Whole added to the mixture. Once this herb is added, you will need to use your gloved hands to fully mix this wholesale herb into this portion. Once everything is mixed well, you can move on to filling up your bath bomb molds wholesale.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Preparing the Mixture

Now, your bath bomb mixture is nearly ready to add to the wholesale bath bomb molds. All you have left to do is spray this portion of the mixture with the bottle of witch hazel. Again, you will need to use a gloved hand to blend the bath bomb mixture as you continue to spray these ingredients. Just be careful to avoid over spraying with the witch hazel. If you spray too much, then you may end up accidentally activating the ingredients in the bowl. This means that your bath bombs may not stick together as well in the mold and they may not fizz as much in the bath tub. So, be cautious and stop spraying once the mixture has a consistency of crumbly dough.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Filling the Bath Bomb Molds

Then, you will be ready to fill the other half of the bath bomb mold. Now, we should be left with the tops of the molds to fill. So, use your gloved hands and fill up these halves of the cosmetic molds. Make sure to pack your mixture in tightly to make sure everything sticks together and holds its shape. Once you have all the molds filled, you are ready to combine the two halves!

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Combining the Bath Bomb Mold Halves

Finally, it is time to combine the two halves of the bath bomb mold. So, you will need to pair the tops and bottoms of the bath bomb molds. First, you will need to lightly spray each half of the mold. Then, you can firmly press the halves together until the mold snaps shut. Repeat these two steps until all the bath bombs are made. Once all of your bath bombs are whole, you will need to set them in a safe place where they can set up completely. You will know that your bath bombs are ready when they have hardened up and feel solid to the touch.

Chamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Finished Bath BombChamomile Bath Bomb Recipe: Finished Bath Bomb

Now, your Chamomile bath bombs are finished! Once your bath bombs have fully hardened, they will be ready to use. At this point, you can either pop them out of the mold or leave them in the mold until you’re ready. Many people like to leave the bath bombs in the molds, as it functions as an easy method of bath bomb packaging. However, you are able to pop your bath bombs out as soon as they harden. You can either use them right them for some fizzy herbal bath bomb fun or you can wrap them with your very own packaging.

Grapefruit Benefits: Growing ConditionsGrapefruit Benefits: Growing Conditions

First of all, grapefruit trees will require a temperate or tropical climate. These conditions are ideal because these plants need lots of sunlight and warm conditions. In fact, they need it to be relatively warm both during the day as well as at night. So, more tropical regions may be best, but they can survive in temperate regions with some extra care. Also, the grapefruit trees like to have loamy soil that drains well.
Another thing you will want to pay attention to is the amount of space available for your tree to grow. When planting the tree try to pick a place on your land that will provide the most sun, some good winter protection, and at least twelve feet of space from buildings or driveways. After planting, you will want to water your sapling every couple of days. After about a week or so, you can start to water deeply just once a week. However, you may want to water more often during drought periods.

Grapefruit Benefits: Tips for Harvesting Grapefruits

During the first three years, you won’t have a harvest from a grapefruit tree. Instead, your grapefruit tree should direct its energy into growth. So, you may want to remove any small fruits that you see growing before the three year mark. Although you may be eager to try your homegrown fruit, picking these early fruits will ensure your tree grows to be strong. Once your tree is old enough, your fruits will be ready to be harvested in the fall. You will be able to tell they are ripe by their color. If the grapefruits have become a yellow or gold color, then they are ready to pick.

But, anyone that prefers their grapefruit on the sweeter side, like me, can leave the fruits on the tree a bit longer. This will allow them to get a bit larger and sweeter. However, use caution, they can be left on the tree for too long. An overripe grapefruit will appear lumpy and should be discarded.
