Clean and Sanitize for the Merlot Wine CP Soap Recipe

Before making your homemade soap, you are going to want to clean and sanitize for the Merlot Wine CP Soap Recipe. First, you are going to want to collect all of your soap making supplies that are listed for this soap making recipe. Also, you are going to want to clean off a work space to allow yourself the space that you need to make this soap making recipe. Also, you will want to prepare a spray bottle of vinegar. Then, set this bottle aside for when you need it later on.

Prepare the Wine for the Merlot Wine CP Soap Recipe

Also, you will want to prepare the red wine for the Merlot Wine CP Soap Recipe. So, you will want to place the wine into a pot on the stove top and boil it for 30-40 minutes. Be sure that you are stirring the wine periodically as it boils. When this time has elapsed, weigh out and carefully pour this wine into ice cube freezer trays. Next, you will place these trays in the freezer overnight to create wine ice cubes. When you are ready to create your soap, the frozen wine will be used as half of the water portion of the water/lye solution. 

Choosing the Wine for Your Merlot Wine CP Soap Recipe

We have some advice on choosing the wine for your Merlot Wine CP Soap Recipe. We would recommend that you use a wine with a lower sugar content. If you are using a wine that has a high sugar content, it will speed up gel. This will cause your soap batter to bubble up and out of the mold. You will want to watch for this as well as take proper precautions at safe guarding the surface your mold is placed on.

First, you are going to want to prepare the green grape embeds for the Wine CP Soap Recipe. So, you are going to need to weigh 132 grams of the Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap. Then, you will want to use thirty second intervals in the a microwave to melt the soap base. After the soap base has melted, you will want to add 3 grams of the Kelly Green FUN Soap Colorant and 5 drops of the Brown Oxide FUN Soap Colorant. Then, you will want to add 7 grams of the Merlot Wine Fragrance Oil to you mixture. You will want to mix these cosmetic ingredients together thoroughly and pour the soap into the grape bunches soap mold. You will make five grape bunches in total. Make sure that you allow them to setup before taking them out of the cosmetic molds.

Prepare the Lye Solution for the Merlot Wine CP Soap

Now you are ready to prepare the lye solution for the Merlot Wine CP Soap. First, you will need to weigh out the 129 grams of the distilled water and 129 grams of the frozen wine cubes. Then, you will want to stir this mixture as you add small amounts of the lye. You will need to continue to add small amounts of the lye while stirring the mixture. Once you have added all 96 grams of the lye for soap, you will need to set this solution in a safe place to cool to room temperature.

While you are waiting for your lye solution to cool, you are going to want to weigh and melt the cosmetic oils for the CP soap. You will want to add the following amounts to a microwave safe bowl; 122 grams Rice Bran Oil, 68 grams Sunflower Oil, 81 grams Meadowfoam Seed Oil, 68 grams Olive Oil, 121 grams Fractionated Coconut Oil, and 216 grams Mango Butter Oil. Then, use short bursts in the microwave to melt everything down. After, you will want to let your melted oils to cool to about the same temperature as your lye solution.

In the meantime, you can begin preparing the colorant for the Merlot Wine CP Soap. So, you are going to want to take a small bowl and add 5 grams of the Tomato Red FUN Soap Colorant and 6 grams of the Deep Purple FUN Soap Colorant. Then, stir these two colors together and set the bowl aside for a later step.

Once both the lye solution and the soaping oils have reached the proper temperature, you are ready for the next step, So, you will be combining the lye and oils for the Merlot Wine CP Soap Recipe. Then, you will want to use a stick blender to emulsify these soap making ingredients. After you have everything mixed together, you are ready for the next soap in the soap making process.

Once your soap batter has been mixed together, you are ready to add the fragrance to the Merlot Wine Soap. So, you will want to weigh out 51 grams of the Merlot Wine Fragrance Oil. Then, you will add this scented oil to your soap batter. After, you will want to use a stick blender to quickly incorporate the scent.

The aroma of the Merlot Wine Fragrance Oil is fantastic for enhancing this real wine soap recipe. This scent has scrumptious notes of plums, apples, red raspberries and strawberries. These fragrance oil notes combine with a light alcoholic and spicy background. Together, these fragrance oil notes create a wonderful aroma of red merlot wine. This perfectly enhances the true scent of your real red wine.

Next, you are going to add the soap colorant for the Merlot Wine CP Soap Recipe. So, retrieve the bowl of soap colorant that you had previously prepared. Then, add this colorant to your scented soap batter. Then, you will need to use your stick blender to throughout incorporate this color into your cold process soap batter. Once everything has been thoroughly incorporated and your soap has reached trace, you are ready to move on to the next step.

Now that your soap has reached trace, you can begin pouring the Merlot Wine CP Soap into the soap mold. Then, you can pour your soap batter into the soap mold. Before moving on to the next step in the process, you will want your soap to set up a bit. However, you don’t want the soap to set up completely so that the soap embeds stick to the soap bars.

Once your cold process soap is set up just enough, you can start adding the soap embeds for the Merlot Wine CP Soap. So, you are going to add your green grapes soap embeds to the top of the cold process soap. Of course, you will want to evenly space each of your five grape soaps onto the top of your soap loaf. After cutting your soap loaf, each bar of soap will have an embed grape soap on top. After placing all of your grape soap embeds, you will want to set the soap aside to set up completely.

After your soap has completely set up in the soap mold, you are ready to remove the Merlot Wine CP Soap from the mold. This should take 24-48 hours before you can remove the soap from your mold. Once your diy soap recipe is removed from the mold, you are going to cut your loaf soap into bars of soap. Each bar will have a bunch of grapes, so you should end up with five bars of cp soap.

Using Your Finished Merlot Wine CP Soap

Before you are ready to use your finished Merlot Wine CP Soap, you will need to put these cold process soap bars in a safe place to cure. Once your wine soap has cured for a few weeks, you are finally ready to use your cold process soap! Today, we will talk about our favorite soap making recipes.  Here at Natures Garden, we love soap making.  Whether we are making melt and pour soap or cold process soap, it is one of our favorite things to do.  So, we thought we would share our top ten cold process soap recipes and our top ten melt and pour soap recipes.  Perhaps you are looking for a new product to add to your soap line or a craft maker looking for a new project idea.  Well, below, you will find the Natures Garden staff’s favorite handcrafted soap making recipes.

Our Favorite Soap Making Recipes: Melt and Pour Soap

First, we will talk about our favorite melt and pour soap.  Natures Garden carries a variety of natural soap bases that can be used.  In fact, in the recipes below, you really can use any of the Natures Garden soap bases.  Melt and pour soap making is the easiest soap making process.  It is perfect for beginners, but for those that have been making soap for years can find more advanced soap making recipes as well.  While you can use many techniques when creating melt and pour that can get more complicated, it can simply be melted in the microwave and added to a mold.  This makes melt and pour soap making the easiest way to start your soap making journey.

The next melt and pour soap on our list of our favorite soap making recipes is the Mango Loofah Melt and Pour Soap.  This soap uses the mango melt and pour soap base along with clear soap base to create a layered melt and pour soap.  In addition, we embedded a loofah to help exfoliate your skin.  We also love the crisp tropical aroma of Grapefruit Mango Fragrance Oil.

Now, let’s talk about the Chocolate Raspberry Drizzle Rolled Soap Recipe.  Let me tell you, this is my absolute favorite recipe on the Natures Garden website.  This was one that I had wanted to make for quite some time and it looked even better when it was finished than I ever imagined.  I wouldn’t recommend this melt and pour soap recipe for beginners, it will take some practice, but is well worth the effort.  Vegetable glycerin was added to the melt and pour soap to give it flexibility, allowing it to be rolled.  In addition, we added Chocolate Raspberry Drizzle Fragrance Oil to give the soap its amazing scent!  We filled the rolled mp soap with the whipped soap base.  So, be prepared to move, it can setup quickly.  But, as you can see, the results are FABULOUS!

The Chamomile Clay Soap Recipe is a wonderful combination of soothing clay and whole herbal chamomile flowers.  This layered soap contains a top layer of clay soap with an exfoliating bottom layer embedded with chamomile.  Finally, we scented this melt and pour soap recipe with Watercress and Aloe Fragrance Oil.  This recipe is perfect for both beginners and advanced soap makers alike.

Now, let’s look at Natures Garden’s Activated Charcoal Soap Recipe.  This recipe will also show you how to layer soap.  The bottom clear layer is embedded with poppy seeds for exfoliation.  Then, the top layer contains the power ingredient of activated charcoal.  Activated charcoal is wonderful for drawing toxin.  However, we kicked the soap up a notch by adding mica.  The diamond dust mica to give the soap a galaxy swirl.  Lastly, it is scented with the magnificent Blackened Amethyst Fragrance Oil.

This next recipe is perfect for the bath time.  Your kids or client’s kids will love the Floating Ducky Melt and Pour Soap Recipe.  So, what makes this soap float?  The blue whipped soap base the rubber ducky soap sits on.  So, it will actually float while the kids bathe.  The kids will love their bath again when this melt and pour soap is placed in the tub!  In addition, we scented the soap with Baby Clean Fragrance Oil.

The Mechanics Melt and Pour Soap Recipe is any easy way to create a swirled soap making recipe.  We are able to create swirls with the addition of clay and powders.  This melt and pour soap is scented with Fresh Squeezed Orange Fragrance Oil.

This next Natures Garden Recipe is a cool soap making recipe with a shimmering effect.  You can use the clear soap base along with some silver or gold mica to create a fun metal like finish.  We scented the Metallic Kiss Soap Recipe with Love Juice Fragrance Oil.  Why is this one of our favorite soap making recipes?  Well, because, who doesn’t like a little shiny bling?  It is fun and simple to create.  With this technique, you can turn any of our FUN Soap Colorant into a metallic colorant.  In fact, I personally have added mica to many of my FUN Soap Colorant, adding a little bit of extra vegetable glycerin to have ready ahead of time.

Finally, in our favorite melt and pour soap recipes, our Peeps Bunny Cupcake Soap.  This fun soap is perfect for Easter, but who doesn’t love bunnies?  It really can be used year round.  The cupcake base uses melt and pour soap along with the whipped soap base.  This adorable cupcake soap is then topped with a bunny created with the Peeps bunny mold.  In addition, the bunny is coated with sugar to give your soap exfoliating properties.  We scented these handcrafted soap cupcakes with strong and true Lemon Fragrance Oil from Natures Garden Soap Making Supplies.

At this time, we will talk about our favorite cold process soap making recipes.  Cold process soap, for those just learning, is created completely from scratch.  It is a fun process giving you the ability to create swirls and use many other fun techniques.  Below, we will show you our ten favorite cold process soap recipes.
