It can be useful to collect what you need before making your bath and body product to make the process easier. Also, sanitize your equipment to make sure your work area is clean. Further, it is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while you prepare this recipe. After you have made these preparations, you will be ready to work on making this homemade lotion recipe!

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Prepare Your Water

First, you are going to want to prepare the water for this recipe. Before you begin, you will need to make sure that you have enough water to make your homemade lotion. This means that you will need at 425 grams of water. However, we would recommend that you add some extra water to your pot to ensure that you have enough water remaining after boiling. Some of the water will evaporate as it is boiling. It is better to have too much than not enough. You will need to heat the water to at least 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Once you have your water at this temperature keep the water there for about twenty minutes. Now that your water has been boiled to destroy any bacteria that may have been present, you are ready to create your scented lotion recipe!

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Creating the Double Boiler

Next, you are going to want to create the double boiler for this recipe. While you will still need to stir as the oils and butters are melting, the double boiler will be useful for preventing your cosmetic oils from scorching. To create this device you will need two pots that will fit into each other. In the larger pot, you will add a few inches of water, which will be heated to a boil. Next, place your smaller pot into your pot with water. Now, you will want to heat your water. As long as the water doesn’t boil over into the smaller pot, you are ready to add you cosmetic ingredients to melt.

While you are waiting for your water to be ready, go ahead and weigh out your oils.  You will need to measure out 48 grams of the Meadowfoam Seed Oil, 24 grams of the Silky Emulsifying Wax, 10 grams of the Mango Butter, 8 grams of the Sodium Lactate, 10 grams of the Argan Oil, and 6 grams of the Vitamin E Oil. These wholesale ingredients are perfect for creating a quality and non-greasy homemade lotion. Then, add these cosmetic oils to the double boiler that you had prepared in a previous step. You are going to want to heat these ingredients to around 140 degrees Fahrenheit and stir periodically to prevent scorching.

Now you are going to want to move quickly to over the next couple of steps. Both your oil mixture and your water will need to be around 140 degrees Fahrenheit when you mix everything together. Once your ingredients reach about this temperature, weigh out your water.  Then, combine these bath and body ingredients in a large mixing bowl. You will need to use a stick blender to combine all of these ingredients. As the mixture emulsifies, you will notice that the lotion mixture will begin to white in color.

At this time, you will need to add 12 grams of the Dreama Fragrance Oil to your mixture. This scented oil has beautiful top notes of oakmoss and lilies. This floral scent continues with middle notes of ylang ylang and jasmine. Finally, this fragrance lays on bottom notes of amber, musk, and sandalwood. Of course, you will need to fully incorporate the fragrance oil. You can use the stick blender to ensure that the entire lotion mixture will include this lovely scent.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the PreservativeDreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Preservative

Next, you will want to add the preservative to your homemade lotion recipe. You will need to weigh out 10 grams of the Optiphen Preservative and add it to your lotion mixture. You want to add the preservative when the temperature is between 120-140F.  If the preservative is added at a temperature higher than this, it can burn off.  On the other hand, if it is added a temperature that is too low, it can cause it to separate from the lotion.

The preservative will ensure that your lotion recipe doesn’t become taken over by germs. This preservative protects against bacteria, yeast, and mold. Plus, this ingredient provides an exceptional feel to the finished lotion recipe. Plus, the wholesale preservative available at Natures Garden is paraben-free and formaldehyde-free.

Dreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the ColorantDreama Lotion Recipe: Adding the Colorant

Also, you are going to want to add the wholesale colorant to your lotion. So, you will need to add 5 drops of the Yellow Da Bomb Soap Dye to your diy lotion. Lastly, you are going to want to add a bit of the mica dust pigment to your lotion. You may want to add 1 teaspoon of the Diamond Dust Mica Pigment. Of course, this is totally optional.  However, mica will add a shimmer and shine to your handmade lotion. Again, once you have added the mica, you are going to want to add it to your lotion and mix with the stick blender.

NG Sun and Sand Type Fragrance OilNG Sun and Sand Type Fragrance Oil – Fragrance Oil Spotlight

NG Sun and Sand Type Fragrance Oil is a sweet ozone scent by Natures Garden. This aroma is a beautiful combination of ozone scents with citrus and floral notes that mix with a light musky bottom note to create a lovely ocean type fragrance oil. Our customers give this beach fragrance oil five stars no matter the application.  One customer stated, “I poured this in soy and it smells wonderful. I grew up on Cape Cod, Ma. It reminds me of our house on the beach. Fresh laundry hanging on the line, suntan lotion and wild flowers all melded together. I chose this on a whim and glad that I did!”

What Does NG Sun and Sand Type Fragrance Oil Smell Like?

This fragrance by Natures Garden is an ozony blend of florals and citrus, combining white flowers, bergamot, orange blossoms, ylang ylang, muguet lily, with a light musk base.

How Do Our Customers Use NG Sun and Sand Type Fragrance Oil in Room Scenting Recipes?

Our customers can create all kinds of amazing room scenting products with this complex ozone fragrance oil. Potpourri and incense can both include this sea side scent at a maximum of 50% for their recipes. Also, homemade cleaning products can include this fragrance oil at no more than 5% of the overall weight. Further, aroma beads that use this fragrance oil will have a scent that is nice and strong.

Homemade candle crafters can use this sweet, musk, and ozone fragrance oil to create their very own recipes. Both candles and wax tarts that are made of either vegetable waxes or paraffin wax can use this scent. The maximum allowed concentration of candles and other wax products is 10%. In addition, this fragrance is gel wax compatible. If you want to color your candle products and haven’t picked a hue, then we would recommend either using five drops of yellow liquid candle dye along with a tiny bit of brown liquid candle dye per four pounds of your wax or adding a small amount of shredded yellow and brown color blocks into the melted wax. Crayons have been known to clog wicks therefore we do not recommend using them as candle colorants.

How Do Our Customers Use NG Sun and Sand Type Fragrance Oil in Bath and Body Recipes?

A wide variety of bath and body products can be created with this ocean fragrance oil. Bath gels, bath oils, lotions, different kinds of soaps, perfumes, and many other kinds of bath and body products can be made with 5% of this scent. If you want to add color to your bath and body products and unsure of a color, then we would like to suggest using yellow liquid soap dye in your desired amounts. Just don’t use candle dye in these bath and body products.

Not only can melt and pour soap bases include this scent, but cold process soaps can be made too! Our Cold Process Soap Testing Results have shown that this sweet beach fragrance oil can be used to create perfect soap through this method. In fact, a batch that uses this scent will have no ricing, no acceleration, and no separation. Also, the final soap will have a good scent after cure and will not have any discoloration. We hope that you enjoy our NG Sun and Sand Type Fragrance Oil in your products.
