20 Craft Ideas for St. Patricks Day
Since Saint Patricks Day is right around the corner from us, we have some recipes themed for the holiday we wanted to share. We love being creative all year round, but we think there is no time better for it than on and around the holidays! There are so many different crafts you can make for each holiday. Today we are going to be talking about 20 Craft Ideas for St. Patricks Day. All of these have been handmade by the staff here at Natures Garden and include candles, soap, bath bombs and more. St. Patricks Day can be such a fun time and we had a blast making holiday themed projects. We hope you enjoy each of our ideas!
St. Patricks Day Candle Recipe
The first recipe we want to dive into is this St. Patricks Day Candle. You will need to get our Golden Foods Soy Wax 464 in the ten pound size, beeswax white pastilles, NG Aloe and White Lilac Fragrance Oil, and green spectrum liquid candle dye. The fragrance in this candle is layered with top notes of petitgrain, bergamot, and ozonic notes. There are middle notes of tuberose, lilac, and lily of the valley. The base notes include musk, oak moss, amber, and sweet vanilla. This is a fun recipe that does not take up too much time. It smells great and is a perfect representation of Saint Patricks Day with the four leaf clover!
Mint Chocolate Chip Chip Ice Cream Bath Fizzies Recipe
Next, is our mint chocolate chip bath fizzies recipe. These are a fun alternative to traditional round bath bombs. With this recipe, you can make 24 mini bath fizzy scoops! The directions are super simple to follow and this is a great place to start if you are a beginner. These tiny ice cream scoops work very similarly to bath bombs. They use the same common ingredients such as baking soda, citric acid, and corn starch to create fizzing and bubbles in the bath. Other ingredients used to make these include shea butter, grape seed oil, and Peppermint Patty Fragrance Oil. This fragrance is the perfect scent for these minty scoops. They smell like a combination of peppermint, vanilla, and bittersweet chocolate. All you need to do is pop these in the bath and you will be ready to go!
Pistachio Melt and Pour Soap Recipe
As you are probably aware, melt and pour soap is one of the easiest recipes you can make! Our website has several exciting soap recipes just like this one. This pistachio melt and pour recipe was made with our diamond clear base in combination with our cocoa butter base. These both add a nice creamy lather and soapy suds to your finished product. We scented our soap with the very fitting Natures Garden Original Pistachio Pudding Cake Fragrance Oil. Your soap will smell like pistachios, almonds, honey, heliotrope, and a creamy vanilla custard. When it is finished, your pistachio melt and pour soap will look good enough to eat!
Rainbow Bath Salts Recipe
This is one of my favorite bath recipes at Natures Garden! These rainbow bath salts look spectacular from the way that they are layered in the jars. This recipe is the perfect representation of the rainbow you find a pot of gold at the end of! We scented these bath salts with our Celestial Fragrance Oil, which is a layered fragrance. It has top notes of orange, eucalyptus, and pineapple. The middle notes include violet, sage, thyme, lily, and jasmine. The woodsy base notes are cedar, sandalwood, patchouli, musk, oakmoss, and vetiver. One of the ingredients for these bath salts is SCI, which is why these will leave your skin feeling silky smooth.
Golden Clover Bath Bombs Recipe
Next, we are introducing these golden clover bath bombs. These are the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! This recipe creates four bath bombs that smell like Ginger Lime Fragrance Oil. We colored these using our Yellow Oxide FUN soap colorant, and coated them in 24K gold mica pigment to make them shimmer! When you add these fizzy bombs to the bath, you will see some tiny specks of gold and feel extra luxurious.
St. Patty’s Day Cold Process Soap Recipe
The next recipe is our St. Patty’s Day themed cold process soap. It uses our English Ivy Fragrance Oil, which is a combination of morning dew, green forest notes, a touch of floral, and earthy musk. This fragrance truly represents the greenery scent of St. Patricks Day. We used oils with great qualities to them in this soap, including coconut 76, palm, castor, olive pomace, and sweet almond. Each provides different benefits to the soap, but make great additions to lather and conditioning properties for your skin!
Green Beer Candle Recipe
One of the traditions of Saint Patricks Day is to drink green beer. Since we already had made a regular beer candle, we wanted to create a green beer candle for this holiday! We have the perfect fragrance oil for this St. Patty’s recipe, called Green Irish, which is comparable to the ever popular Green Irish Tweed. There are very few ingredients involved with this candle, which makes it an easy recipe to follow and recreate. We have separate instructions listed for the beer froth if you would like to add this touch!
Spearmint Soap Recipe
I personally love the smell of spearmint, and if you do too, you will really enjoy this soap recipe. Our Spearmint Fragrance Oil has a refreshing minty aroma, which is believed to carry benefits to improve concentration and productivity. This spearmint soap combines quality oils with shea butter and spearmint leaf to create a soap that feels and is great for your skin.
Pot O Gold Candle Recipe
This pot o gold candle recipe is another one of my favorites! It is an absolutely adorable product that is so fun to create. We used several colors from our spectrum liquid candle dyes to make this, including red, black, yellow, blue, green, and purple. When you light your candle it smells of Green Clover and Aloe. It has a fresh citrus and jasmine scent complimented by a woodsy sweet musk background.
Clam Shell Kiwi Sugar Cubes Recipe
These kiwi sugar cubes are so easy to make! They are made with grape seed oil, apricot kernel oil, coconut oil 76, shea butter melt and pour soap, along with a few more ingredients. Our fruity Kiwi Fragrance Oil was also used to scent these sugar cubes. These are great to use on the body, but maybe too harsh to use on the face. All you need to do is break some of the cubes out of their container, run underwater, and apply to your skin!
Mojito Bath Bomb Recipe
Another one of our recipes is this mojito scented bath bomb. Our Mojito Fragrance Oil is a best seller and is a nice combination of lime, sugar, mint leaves, and rum. This is one of our more herbal homemade recipes, involving different clay powders and our spearmint leaf, cut and sifted. When you make this recipe, you will get seven bath bombs out of it.
Lucky Leprechaun Face Mask Recipe
Now for a change of pace, we will talk about our lucky leprechaun facial mask! If you are involved in this industry, you probably are really interested in skincare products. This face mask is a great addition to any skincare routine because it exfoliates, moisturizes, and refreshes the skin. It contains French green clay, Bentonite clay, and Spirulina powders, along with some essential oils and leaf powders. The combination of quality cosmetic ingredients in this mask will really freshen up the surfaces of your skin.
Rose Petal Bath Melts Recipe
Our rose petal bath melts are definitely a game changer. With a combination of shea butter, mango butter, and cocoa butter, these are moisturizing to the extreme degree. Our recipe makes 12 herbal bath melts that contain both rose petals and parsley leaf. We used another Natures Garden Original fragrance for these, Coco Mango. You will come out of the bath smelling fruity with strawberry, mango, papaya, coconut, and vanilla.
Lime Cupcake Cold Process Soap Recipe
We are always finding inspiration from food and dessert recipes we see online. These lime cupcake cold process soaps look and smell like authentic cupcakes! They are scented with our Agave Lime Fragrance Oil and topped with melt and pour lime slices, which add even more to its authenticity.
Rainbow Bubble Bars Recipe
We have even more bath recipes for you, like these rainbow bubble bars that are so unique. This is another recipe that we added SCI into, which helps these to soften the skin and leave it feeling like silk. Taking a bath with these is nice and relaxing. They have been scented with our Rain Fragrance Oil, which contains notes of wisteria, lily of the valley, hyacinth, and musk.
Green Apple Candy Bath Bomb Recipe
This green apple candy bath bomb is an easy recipe to prepare. It is made using baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, bentonite clay, and apricot kernel oil. We scented it with another one of our best selling fragrance oils, Green Apple Candy, which smells delicious. To get the light green color we desired these to have, we mixed together our Kelly Green and Neon Green FUN soap colorants.
Leprechaun Hat Soap Recipe
Our leprechaun hat soap is one of my favorites that we are talking about today. This craft is absolutely perfect for St. Patricks Day because it cannot get much more festive than this. This soap was made with the Diamond Clear base and Yogurt base, which provide lather, exfoliation, and softening properties. It takes a few of our molds to create this hat shape: the 6 cavity muffin, square, and basic square molds. The soap smells of the delicious Apple Happy Camper Candy Fragrance Oil, which is a combination of several fruits.
Rainbow Melt and Pour Soap Recipe
This rainbow melt and pour soap is another one that is a bit more advanced. It is a regular melt and pour at the bottom, topped with a whipped soap base, and a handmade rainbow piece. This is a very fun recipe to make and allows you to explore your creative side, so have fun with it!
Basil Sage Mint Bubble Bars Recipe
These basil sage mint bubble bars are very similar to the rainbow bubble bars. It will make you eight bars that provide skin softening properties from the SCI they contain. We also added peppermint leaf powder and basil leaf to give them an herbal element.
Castile Hot Process Soap Recipe
Lastly, we wanted to mention one of our hot process soap recipes, since we have been talking about melt and pour and cold process. Hot process cures much faster than cold process because an element of heat is added. This green castile soap uses the natural moisturizer sodium lactate, spirulina powder, and olive oil pomace. This is a great soap to use on all skin types.
