Before you begin creating your scented craft recipe, you are going to make preparations for this candle recipe. First, you will need to gather and wash any equipment that you are going to need to make this candle wax recipe. Also, you will want to gather all of your candle  making equipment that will be needed for you to create this recipe. Next, you are going to want to clean up a space for you to use as a work area. Making the Double Boiler For the Scoopable Wax Melts Recipe

Next, you are going to be making the double boiler for the room scent recipe. You are going to want to create the double boiler for this recipe to prevent your wax from getting too hot and scorching. While you will still need to stir your candle wax, the double boiler will be useful for preventing your wax from overheating. To create this device, you will need one stove pot that your pouring pot will be able to comfortably fit into. In the stove pot you will add water. So, put the Natures Garden joy wax to the test in your room scent recipe to smell the real difference that can be made by adding this candle wax to your soy candle making supplies!

Adding Colorant to the Scoopable Wax Melts RecipeAdding Colorant To the Scoopable Wax Melts Recipe

At this point, you can remove the pouring pot from the double boiler and turn off the stove. Now, you are going to add the candle colorant to your melted joy wax. So, you are going to need to just one drop of a the Burgundy Spectrum Liquid Candle Dye. After adding the liquid candle colorant, you are going to want to stir to evenly incorporate the color. Once all of the color block has been mixed into the wax, you are ready to continue in the process.

candle meltsMy name is Vanessa Paris and I’m the owner of “My Candle Box”.

Hi, my name is Vanessa and I’m responsible for “My Candle Box”. I’ve been open since May 2012 and I enjoy making candles, clamshells, and tarts. The waxes I use are soy and para-soy wax. Making wax goodies brings a smile to my face. Besides making wax goodies for family and friends, I also make them for myself as well. My little hobby has lead me to make a shop on Craft Cafe. I hope you get to experience my soy and para-soy goodies and enjoy them as much as I do.

I have displayed a picture of my Soy Drizzle Melts which includes the following fragrance oils from Natures Garden:  Apple Explosion: McIntosh and Green Apple Explosion (Pink), Sweet Orange Chili Pepper (Orange), and Blueberry Cobbler (Blue).

Soy Candles Never Smelled So Good

This entry was posted in all natural, candle fragrance oils, candle making supplies, candles, fragrance oil, Fragrance Oils, Natures Garden Fragrance Oils, soy candle supplies, soy candles and tagged , , , , , , , , , on by .

soy candle makingHi! I’m Claire, of Simple Sun Candles.

One of my favorite things is the relaxing ambiance a few lit candles in the evening create. Also, the warm and welcoming scent of a candle burning really means ‘home’ and also ‘comfort’ to me. Simple Sun Candles was started with the intent of offering eco-friendly, natural soy candles in a range of fragrances, with a simple and classic design. As someone who delights in the warm, welcoming glow and fragrance of a candle, I was looking for something that would easily blend in to any décor but also featured pleasing scents. However, I could not find exactly what I wanted in stores. After reading quite a bit about candle-making, I decided to begin making my own. I quickly fell in love with the relaxing melting, pouring and cooling process (and not to mention, how amazing my home smells). The name, Simple Sun Candles stems from my desire to keep things simple in life, cutting back on clutter, stress, and being more cognizant of the environment, which is reflected in my use of 100% soy wax, no dyes, and phthalate-free fragrance oils of the highest quality (from Nature’s Garden, of course).

All of my candles are hand-poured with care, at the optimal temperature for the ideal scent throw (after lots of research, and trial-and error!). I selected cotton wicks for my candles for a clean burn, and offer single-, two- and three-wick candles. I enjoy experimenting with new fragrances and products, such as adding soy wax melts to my shop. I am interested in trying out palm wax and pillar molds soon, and possibly dyes and layered candles for holidays.

This hobby/small-business venture has really been a rewarding experience. Having only opened my on-line shop in October 2012, I have already been able to contribute to community fundraisers and love hearing feedback from happy customers. I look forward to many years of creating candles and experimenting with different designs, fragrances, and methods.

In the picture on this blog, I used Natures Garden’s Caribbean Fragrance Oil, Golden Foods 464 Soy Wax, and HTP-73 Wicks (all from Natures Garden).
