Plus, each scoop has a little bit of each color, so you can immediately tell the flavor! Alternatively, you could do some dual color or single color scoops and package them together. Really, it is all up to you! Not only do these little scoops have the right look, but each color has the right scent! We used a vanilla scent, a chocolate scent, and a strawberry scent in each of the corresponding portions. So, these ice cream scoops smell as realistic as we can possibly get!

So, before you begin working make sure that everything is clean and ready for you to use! First, retrieve all of your equipment for this recipe. This includes things like the bowls, mixing utensils, and the ice cream scooper. So, make sure that all your equipment is clean. This will prevent any contaminants from getting into your bubble bars. Also, you will want to clean and sanitize your work area. Not only will this ensure that you have enough space to work, but you will make sure that you won’t pick up anything. For example, setting down a utensil on your work surface and using it later. So, this will further prevent potential contamination.

First, you are going to weigh out all of your dry ingredients. So, retrieve your large mixing bowl and your measuring device. Also, you can see the volume amount above for those using measuring cups. After, make sure to break up any clumps that you find in the powder. You will want to use your hands to mix up and go through to find all the clumps.

Now, you are going to be working with your wet ingredients. So, take your bowl of dry ingredients and tare the weight on the scale. This could be helpful for those worried about pouring too much, as it could alter your recipe. After, add in 200 grams of the vegetable glycerin and 24 grams of the Fractionated Coconut Oil. Now, mix the wet and dry ingredients together. Be sure that you mix everything well and that it is all incorporated.

Further, you will want to check the consistency of the dough at this point. if it is too crumbly, you can add in more vegetable glycerin until you get the right consistency. This will be very important for those that used volume rather than weight, as this ingredient may be too thick to add the amount you needed from the measuring cup. However, you want to be careful not to add too much. If your dough gets too wet, then the ingredients will start to activate in the bowl. So, try to add just the right amount!

Next, you will be separating your mixture into three portions. Before you do, make sure that everything is mixed evenly. Try to be as exact as possible, but it is okay if you just estimate the amounts for each bowl to contain 1/3 of your original mixture. Then, we will be creating the chocolate ice cream portion. First, you are going to need one of your small bowls. This bowl will have 3 grams of the organic cocoa powder and 12 grams of vegetable glycerin added to it. After, mix these together to create a paste. Now, grab one of your third portions of your mixture. Add the cocoa powder paste to the bowl. Also, add in 5 grams of the Hot Cocoa Fragrance Oil. Make sure to mix this well with either your hands or a mixing spoon. As long as the color and fragrance are evenly mixed, it doesn’t matter which method you use to mix. Then, roll your chocolate portion into a ball and set it aside.

Also, we will be making the pink portion. Of course, this portion will become the strawberry ice cream part of your ice cream scoops! So, grab another of the unused dough portions in your medium mixing bowls. Now, add in a single gram of the FUN Neon Pink Soap Colorant to create a bright pink hue. Then, add in 5 grams of the scrumptious Strawberry Patch Fragrance Oil. Now, mix everything up well until it looks just like strawberry ice cream should! You should be certain that all the clumps of dye are mixed our and your have an even pink color. After you get everything mixed well, roll the mixture into a ball, set it back in the mixing bowl, and set it aside. for later use

Lastly, you will be creating the vanilla ice cream portion. So, grab your other small bowl. Add in 2 grams of the vanilla powder and 5 grams of the vegetable glycerin. Then, mix these ingredients into a paste. Now, take the last portion of your plain mixture. You will add your completed paste to this bowl. Also, mix the 5 grams of the French Vanilla New Improved Fragrance Oil and 5 grams of the Vanilla White Stabilizer together in your little bowl. Then, add this to your vanilla mixture. Finally, mix all of these ingredients together very well. Roll this into a ball and set aside for a moment.

After all your colors are created you will need to prepare them for scooping. So, retrieve your three balled up colors. Now, remember what Neapolitan ice cream looks like before you set them up. you will want the white color, or vanilla, in the center and the other two flavors on either side. Be sure to set them right next to each other and not on top of one another.

After, you are going to press down on the colors to flatten them. You want to completely flatten all your dough in the bowl. Also, be sure that they are touching a little as you flatten. It is okay to have some overlap as you go. Once you are done you should have three rows of color that are ready for scooping!

Next, you are going to be scooping out your bubble bars. So, grab your stainless steel ice cream scooper as it is time to scoop the dough. As you go you will want to make sure that you get a little bit of each color for every scoop. You want others to be able to recognize that these are Neapolitan Ice Cream Scoops by looking at just one bubble bar! So, you will not want to have too much of any color in your scoops.

Maybe you could even practice with some real Neapolitan ice cream before you begin this recipe. You know, to get the technique down in the most delicious way possible.

So, make sure your scoop is filled After, release your ice cream scoop on top of either the silicone mat or parchment paper. After, you will repeat this process until all of the dough has been used.

Now, you will be getting to the point where you can use your bubble bars! All you have to do now is wait. Leave the bubble bar scoops where they are until they are completely set up. If you are unsure of when they will be ready, then we can explain. You will know the bubble bars are set up when they are completely hard. This means that the bubble bars will no longer soft or squishy in any areas. Also, it may take up to a few days for them completely set up. While we can’t give an exact amount of time for completion, this will vary due to variations in humidity and climate. However, we can say that these little scoops will set up quicker than a larger bubble bar. After, your product will be ready to create an amazing bubble bath!

Then, you will want to mix these ingredients well to fully incorporate all the powders. You can use your hands or a mixing spoon, but we have found that it is easiest to mix with gloved hands. Further, you should pay attention to any clumps existing in this mixture. You should break up any clumps to make the mixture as smooth and evenly mixed as possible. Otherwise, your final product may have pockets of powder that never mix with the necessary ingredients.

Next, you are going to be weighing your wet ingredients. So, retrieve a small mixing bowl and tare its weight from your scale. Now, add the 100 grams, or 1/3 cup, of Vegetable Glycerin, 12 grams, or 1 Tablespoon, of Macadamia Nut Oil, and 7 grams of Blackberry Bling Bling Fragrance Oil to the small bowl in their proper amounts. You will be using this mixture in the following step, so keep the bowl close.

However, you do not want to add too much as this would make the recipe too wet to create a proper bubble bar. So, we’d recommend mixing in no more than a few drops at a time to avoid going over your limit.

Next, you will be adding the FUN Soap Colorant to the mixture you have created thus far. So, take your combined bowl of wet and dry ingredients and add the correct amount of Deep Purple FUN Soap Colorant, which is 7 grams. Mix the color in thoroughly and make sure that there aren’t any pockets of soap colorant left behind after you mix. So, the dough should be an even, pretty shade of purple all the way through the mixture.

Next, you are going to be adding some shimmery mica powder to your purple dough mixture. So before you begin scooping, you are going to weigh out and add 1 gram of the diamond dust mica. So, use your scale to weigh the proper amount in your small bowl that you have used in a previous step. Then, mix the mica ingredient into your purple dough mixture. Also, try to make sure that you mix the dough thoroughly to create an even shimmer in your mixture and continue to break up any clumps that you may see throughout the creating process.

Now, the mixture is ready for you to create the scoops. So, retrieve your small stainless steel scoop to shape your bubble bars. Simply spoon some of your dough mixture into your metal scoop and pack it into the scoop. You can pack it by pressing on the dough while it is inside the scoop. Doing this ensures that your bubble bar will hold its little ice cream scoop form. After, release the dough from the scoop onto your parchment paper or silicone baking mat. Repeat this until all of your dough has been scooped on your parchment paper or silicone baking mat.

Next, you will be completing a few last steps to complete your bubble bars. After you have all your little ice cream scoops on your parchment paper or silicone baking mat, then you are ready to add the finishing touches. Sprinkle about a gram or so of the diamond dust mica onto the scoops to add some extra shimmer to your products. You can add more if you’d like to, it all depends on how much mica dust you’d want to add. Then, you should let the bubble bars sit undisturbed, so they can harden and set up completely. This should take a couple of days, but they need this time to harden.

Make Your Own Bubble Bars Weigh Out Your Dry IngredientsFirst, you will need a deep mixing bowl.  Use your scale to weigh out 205 grams of sodium cocoyl isethionate, 230 grams of sodium bicarbonate which is commonly known as baking soda, 112 grams of cream of tartar, and lastly 36 grams of corn starch.  Then, use your hands, or a mixing spoon to blend the ingredients together.  You also want to make sure you have broken up any clumps you may find in the mixture.

Now, in a separate small bowl, weigh out your dry ingredients.  Use your scale to add 100 grams of vegetable glycerin, 12 grams of sweet almond oil, and 7 grams of Natures Garden’s Mango Sorbet Fragrance Oil.  Mix the ingredients together.

Then, add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.  Next, mix the ingredients together.  I find it easiest to use your hands to mix them together.  You need to mix the ingredients together until you have a crumbly dough consistency.

Make Your Own Bubble Bars Mix Your ColorantWe will be mixing three colors together to achieve a mango sorbet color.  First, add 6 grams of Nature’s Garden’s yelp yellow FUN Soap Colorant.  Then, add in 1 gram of jailhouse red FUN Soap Colorant.  Lastly, add 3 drops of the yellow oxide FUN Soap Colorant.  Mix them together to create an even color.  Finally, add the colorant to your bubble bar dough.  Again, I find it easiest to also mix the colorant into the dough with your hands.

Once you have all the ingredients mixed, you will leave it in the bowl and scoop right out of the bowl.  You want to push down and pack the dough into the bowl.  This will make it easier to scoop the dough.  As you can see it looks kind of like ice cream.

Now, once you have packed your dough down into your bowl, use your stainless steel ice cream scoop to begin scooping your ice cream bubble bars.  Scoop a bit of the dough into the mini ice cream scoop.  Then, use your hand to once again pack it in tightly.  This will ensure that the bubble bars hold their form when removing them from the scoop.

Finally, make sure your silicone mat or parchment paper is in an area where it will not be disturbed.  Then, press the button to release the scoop over a piece your silicone mat.  Repeat this process until you have used up all of your dough.  This recipe will create about 15 mini ice cream scoop bubble bars.  These ice cream bubble bars will need to setup before you can move them.  Leave them undisturbed for about three days before using them or packaging them.  The drying time can vary.  However, after a couple days you can check them to see if they have setup.

Our next recipe is a homemade bubble bar.  Natures Garden has had a lot of requests for a bubble bar recipe.  Well, look no further read on for some bubbly fun!  For those of you that have never used a bubble bar, bubble bars are used to create a bubble bath.  However, instead of using a liquid bubble bath, they’re a solid bar that can be crumbled and added to your bath water.  They foam like crazy and are super fun to create.  I will say it takes some practice and can be tricky to roll out, but once you perfect your technique making them becomes an addiction.  You will find your creative juices are flowing and you can’t wait to make your next batch of bubble bars.

Note:  While we are giving both weight and volume measurements, we high recommend weighing the ingredients out.  This provides more accurate measurements and will give you better results when making your bubble bars.

272 grams (1 cup) Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
230 grams (1 cup) Sodium Bicarbonate – Baking Soda
112 grams (1/3 cup) Cream of Tartar
36 grams (1/3 cup) Corn Starch
110 grams (1/3 cup) Vegetable Glycerin
12 grams (1 TBSP) Avocado Oil
3 grams FUN Soap Colorant Jailhouse Red
3 grams FUN Soap Colorant Yelp Yellow
7 grams Mango and Mandarins Fragrance Oil

Bubble Bar Recipe Preparing the Dry IngredientsBefore you begin you want to put on your protective clothing.  So, make sure you put on your gloves, glasses, and mask.  First, we will weigh out your dry ingredients.  In a deep mixing bowl weigh out 272 grams sodium lauryl sulfate or 1 cup, 230 grams or 1 cup Sodium Bicarbonate – Baking Soda, 112 grams Cream of Tartar or 1/3 cup, and 36 grams Corn Starch or 1/3 cup.  Next, use your hands to mix the ingredients together.  As you are mixing you want to make sure you are breaking up any clumps of powder you find.

Bubble Bar Recipe Adding the Wet IngredientsNow, we will add our wet ingredients.  First, add about 12 grams of avocado oil, which is the same as about 1 tablespoon.  Then,  add your vegetable glycerin.  You will need to add 110 grams or about 1/3 cup.  Next, add your fragrance oil. You will need to add 7 grams of the Mango and Mandarins Fragrance Oil.  Finally, use your hands to mix the ingredients together.  Make sure the ingredients are thoroughly and evenly combined.  You will end up with a dough like consistency.

Bubble Bar Recipe Coloring Your DoughNow, we will begin dividing our dough.  For this recipe, we chose two colors.  So, go ahead and divide the dough into two equal parts.  We will need one half to be yellow and the other half a red-orange color.  Once you have divided your dough, place them in separate bowls.  Then, to the first bowl, add 3 grams of Jailhouse Red FUN Soap Colorant.  Use your hands to mix the dough and incorporate the colorant.  Then, roll the dough into a ball.  This will make it easier to roll out evenly.

Next, to the other bowl with the remaining dough, you will be coloring, add about 3 grams of the Yelp Yellow FUN Soap Colorant.  Again, use your hands to incorporate the yellow colorant.  Once you have incorporated the colorant, you will want to roll the yellow portion into a ball as well.  Set this one aside, for now, we will come back to it after we roll out the jailhouse red dough.

Bubble Bar Recipe Rolling the DoughNext, we will begin rolling out our dough.  You want to place your dough on either a piece of parchment paper or a silicone rolling mat.  Dust the parchment paper with baking soda.  This will prevent the dough from sticking to the paper.  Be careful not to use too much.  Do the same with your rolling pin.  Now, flatten your coral colored dough a bit and then use your rolling pin to finish rolling out the dough.  If you would like, you can place a piece of parchment paper on top of the dough and roll.  This will help make the dough a little bit smoother.  You want to roll your dough out, creating a rectangular shape.  Then, place the yellow dough right on top of the coral colored dough.  Finally, roll the yellow dough out to match the shape and size of the previous layer as closely as you can.  It is okay if the layers don’t match up perfectly, just get as close as you can.

Finally, we will be rolling our dough.  First, we recommend transferring your dough to a clean piece of parchment paper or mat.  You want to start with the side closest to you.  Use your parchment paper to help you roll.  Roll a little, then pull the parchment paper back.  Then, roll a bit more, and again, pull the paper back.

 

 

 

 

 

Continue rolling until your bubble bar dough is a completely rolled loaf.  Once you have finished it will look sort of like a pumpkin roll or jelly roll, except a very pretty bright coral and yellow color.  One you have rolled the loaf carefully transfer it to a clean piece of parchment paper.

Now, you will begin slicing the dough.  You want to slice them in about 1 to 2 inch sections.  Once you have sliced your loaf you will need to wait for it to harden.  This will take about 24 hours.  However, it can take longer a few days.
