Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.

Step 1:  While we only need 425 grams of water for this recipe, you will want to prepare more as you will have some evaporation.  Heat your water to 180F to destroy any bacteria.  You will need to hold the temperature here for 20 minutes.

Step 2:  While you are waiting, weigh out and melt your oils.  Use a double boiler to melt the grapeseed oil, cocoa butter, emulsifying wax, jojoba oil, and vitamin e oil.

Step 3:  Back to the pot containing the water.  Weigh out 425 grams of the water.  Add the sodium lactate to this bowl.  Mix well to incorporate.

Step 4:  Next, when both your water and oils are around 140F use your stick blender to mix them.  Make sure you mix very well.  You will notice the mixture turn white in color as it emulsifies.

Step 5:  When the mixture drops to around 120 degrees add the optiphen, soap dyes, and Shiraz Fragrance Oil.  Mix well.  Note:  You do not want to add the preservative below 120F degrees as it will separate.

Step 6:  Now, prepare the resveratrol.  In a small bowl, weigh out 3 grams.  Add 12 grams of vegetable glycerin to it and mix well.  Add this to the lotion.  Again, mix well.

Step 7:  Allow the mixture set up and come to room temperature.  Then, place the lotion in a ziplock bag.  You will then cut the corner of the bag.  Using the bag as you would a decorating bag, place the lotion in the bottles.  Lastly, place a white pump on top.

Your Wine Lotion is now ready to use!  Enjoy!
