Not what I expected

3 Peony Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Black River, NY

I expected this to smell like a peony rose but it has a strong perfume smell- more like a floral perfume and not a true rose scent. The smell stays nice and strong in soy wax. I have had several customers liken the scent to an old lady or nursing home which is not a desired scent. This scent is not horrible but also does not sell. I will not be ordering this scent again

Not quite Peony, Baby Powder?

2 Peony Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Pittsburgh, PA

Don't quite know what this is, but it seems to be "trying" to be a peony scent; more like something+baby powder to me. I only make lotions/creams, and even using an increased amount doesn't seem to make a difference. Luckily, I do like the scent of baby powder, so not a complete loss. My hunt for a peony scent continues :(

Don't judge OOB

4 Peony Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Pennsylvania, USA

Don't judge this out of bottle. To me, just smelled like old lady rose and I thought I had made a bad fragrance choice. But, after using 5% in my CP yogurt soap and letting it cure for four weeks, the scent mellowed into a medium-strong, gentle peony floral scent. The yucky rose scent was gone. I definitely like it and it is a great springtime fragrance. It did discolor to a medium brown, but didn't accelerate nor seize. Behaved very well. I would buy this again.

bad, bad, bad

1 Peony Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Bay City, MI US

Smells a bad, stale, old man's cologne. Smells NOTHING like ANY flower I have ever smelled, let alone, a Peony.
DISAPPOINTED. I would actually give this product a rate of 0 but it is not an option.

I'm so very HAPPY!

I used this in JOY wax and in Goat's Milk Lotion. I call it princess peony. I only added color to the candle though. But it has a very pleasant aroma.

not sure

Reviewer: from Somerdale, NJ US

I'm not sure this is the Peony I had in mind. Not very strong at all, worked alright in m&p soap but was dull in perfume.

A real surprise

5 Peony Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Boyle, Alberta CA

This scent has become a staple in our collection! To me as a gardener, it smells NOTHING like any peony I've smelled. However, I have found this scent to appeal to everyone, and especially to men and teen boys! It is spicy but not in a food way. I used it in cp soap, and it behaves very nicely. A best seller for me.

powder

4 Peony Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from IL US

I don't dislike this scent, however i would not classify it as smelling like a peony plant. It definitely has a strong powder smell to it. I only tried it in MP soap but think it will make a nice candle.
