Step 1: Prepare the Melt and Pour Lime Slices. You will need to melt 112 grams of Diamond Clear Pour Soap. Once melted, add 5 drops of FUN Soap Colorant Lime Green and 4 drops FUN Soap Colorant Kelly Green. Mix well to incorporate the color.
Step 2: Next, add 6 grams of Agave Lime Fragrance Oil and mix well. Pour the melted soap into the Mini Lemon/Lime Slices mold from flexiblemolds.com. Spray with rubbing alcohol to release any air bubbles. Once they have setup remove them from the mold. You will use these to top you cupcake once it is frosted. Set aside for now.
Step 3: Begin preparing your lye solution. In a bowl, add 172 grams distilled water. Then, slowly mix in 65 grams lye. Set this aside and allow the lye solution to cool.
Step 4: In a separate bowl, start melting down your oils. Melt 136 grams Coconut Oil 76, 136 grams Mango Butter, 91 grams Palm Oil, and 91 grams Castor Oil. Now, set the oils aside to cool.
Step 5: While you are waiting, you can go ahead and prepare your colors. For the white portion, add 2 grams of titanium dioxide and 7 grams of Castor Oil to an empty bowl and mix well. In another empty bowl add 6 drops of FUN Soap Colorant Lime Green and 5 drops FUN Soap Colorant Kelly Green
Step 6: Once the temperature of both the lye solution and the oils has dropped to about 72 degrees, add the lye to the oils slowly. Mix to a light trace using a stick blender.
Step 7: To the bowl containing the titanium dioxide, add 230 grams of your soap batter. In the bowl containing the green soap colorant, add 460 grams of soap batter. Use a stick blender to incorporate the color.
Step 8: Now, add the fragrance. To the bowl containing the green batter, add 23 grams of Agave Lime Fragrance Oil and 12 grams to the bowl containing the white batter. Use a stick blender to incorporate.
Step 9: Pour the green batter into three of the silicone round cupcake molds. The remaining batter will be used for the green portion of your frosting.
Step 10: Once the batter reaches a frosting like consistency, place each color in its own decorating bag or a ziplock bag, cutting off one corner. You want to make sure there are not any air pockets.
Step 12: Begin frosting your cupcake. Start with the white and go in a circular motion. Then, add the green right on top of the white in the same manner.
Step 13: Top each cupcake with one of the melt and pour lime slices you made in step 1.
