Scent fades drastically in CP soaps

2 Egyptian Musk Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Connecticut

If you make bath and body products avoid using this in CP soaps. The scent literally almost disappears completely. I had to refund a customer for a soap due to the scent being non existent. I use all of my products from each batch before I sell them and when I first used it, it had a great Egyptian Musk smell. I didn't realize the scent was fading with each passing day.

Very Pleasant Scent

4 Egyptian Musk Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Stockton, CA

Working with this scent was a dream. No acceleration and no ricing. Was doing zebra swirls and had plenty of time to work with the batter. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the extreme sweat during and after cure. Even after I've cut the soap, if I press a little on the sides, I can squeeze out more FO sweat. I hope it reabsorbs but it's really messy as it stands now.

But I get to go around with the scent on my hands after touching the soap and I love it!

Egyptian Musk

"EXTREMELY" disappointed in this fragrance oil :( Hardly any hot or cold throw in my candles even after curing for a week and I use a mix of soy & paraffin.
Way, way too light for my liking and definitely not going to make any wax products or soap with it either. Sorry NG

Barely Any Scent

Reviewer: from Baltimore, MD US

I know it's supposed to be a light scent this but completely dissapeared in my lotions and body butters. Even out of the bottle the scent was almost non-existent. Complete waste.

Update on my Original review in CP soap

5 Egyptian Musk Fragrance Oil

Reviewer: from Bonnells Bay, NSW AU

**I use this at 6% of my oil weight in my CP recipe and don't gel. After 6 months the fragrance is just as noticeable as at 4 weeks. One of my absolute NG favourites!** (original review copied below):-

I have been very hesitant to use this fragrance in my soaping as many reviews state it disappears in CP or worse. I love it so much that I decided it was time to bite the bullet and have a go. I found it a dream to soap with, no acceleration in my buttermilk soap. I used a moderately fast tracing recipe for this and it may even have slowed trace down a little? At 3 weeks old no discolouration so far. The scent is soft, yes. But definitely there. It smells almost the same as oob with only a few of the sweetest notes missing and will make a wonderful companion product to my body cream. I will update after 6 months to say how it sticks in the long term. I love it!!!
