Not good in my CP soap

Reviewer: A viewer from Sacramento, CA US 02/22/14

I really like the French Lavender fragrance I get from here, but since it has vanilla in it, it turns my soap brown. So I set out to find a lavender fragrance that would compare, but have little/no discoloration. Out of the bottle, this fragrance was the highest contender. It soaped beautifully, no acceleration, plenty of time to do my complicated swirl. BUT, now that it's cured, I do not like the smell AT ALL. It smells very "soapy" like that generic clean scent you get in commercial soaps, with a hint of a chemical note. We had to move it because the smell was making me sick. It is very strong, and would be a good scent for the right person, just not anything like lavender. But if you don't mind a bit of discolor, I highly recommend the French Lavender fragrance!

Very disappointed!

Reviewer: A viewer from Pittsburgh, PA US 12/17/07

Not a true lavender. Very purfumey and powdery smelling. Many of my customers were disappointed. I will not buy this one again.

Not True Lavender

Reviewer: A viewer from NJ 12/02/05

I use real lavender buds and I dont think this product smells anywhere near true lavender. It has a soapy backnote to it and a slight astrigent/alcohol scent. Not a bad generic scent, but I would definitely NOT call it lavender.

Closest to real lavender essential oil

Reviewer: A viewer from OTIS, IN US 09/07/05

This fragrance not only has a fantastic throw in wax, it is very strong in cold pressed soap! This fragrance is so true to the pure essential oil, that my customers can't believe it's not the real thing. This fragrance is a best seller!!

Beautiful Fragrance

Reviewer: A viewer from Westland, MI USA 09/23/14

I purchased this to blend with some Lavender EO. It has turned into one of my top sellers with customers. It's easy to work with in CP as long as you move fairly fast. I RTCP and had time to do a two color swirl. It is strong. No D.

Strong Scent

Reviewer: A viewer from Elgin, TX US 10/06/10

This is a very strong scent. I used .8 oz/ppo in cp soap and it is way too strong. I'm going to take it down to at least .5 oz next time.

Love this fragrance!

Reviewer: A viewer from Lithia Springs. GA 05/21/15

I bought a 1oz bottle of lavender flowers to use in bath bombs. The fragrance is such a hit with my customers that I am now buying bigger bottles and adding the fragrance to my soaps and candles as well. It is not a true lavender fragrance, it is more of a lavender floral, but my customers have spoken. This is a customer fav.

Not the real thing

Reviewer: A viewer from Winterport, ME US 07/23/06

This blend does not throw a true scent of lavender and has a sort of bite to the fragrance.

Not really a Lavender

Reviewer: A viewer from Washington 04/05/14

This has more of a floral bouquet scent rather than lavender. Lavender might be in the mix but it's lost in the fragrance. In MP soap, the fragrance is strong. I was hoping after mixing it in the product I'd smell more lavender, unfortunately not. It's an okay scent but a bit disappointing.

Strong Scent

Reviewer: A viewer from North Dakota 09/26/12

I'm not a lavender fan myself but I have customers that love it so that's why I have it. So I don't know how it compares to other lavender scents. But I can say this is a great lavender that sticks in CP soap. I've used it at the rate of 6% PPO which is a hair less than 1 oz PPO and the soap gelled and it came out strong. I still have some that is almost 2 years old and the scent is just as strong now as the day it was made. So if you want one that sticks this might be what your looking for. It is a strong lavender scent and maybe using less would not last as long but it is quite strong at the rated I used it but I'm told the strong lavender is appreciated by customers.
