Rootbeer Fragrance Oil

Rootbeer Fragrance Oil

This fragrance oil by Natures Garden is a very true-to-name fragrance oil. The refreshing aroma of a rootbeer soda.

Did You Know? The Sumerians discovered the process of fermentation some 6,000 years ago.  With this new knowledge, they were able to start fermenting wild barley and in essence created the first beer.  Flash forward to the mid 1800s: It was very common for the vast majority of pharmacists to create cure all remedies.  These cure alls supposedly successfully treated  many different medical problems.  Several of these cure alls had ingredients and recipes that were ironically very close to that of rootbeer.  Some of these ingredients included:  roots and spices, and of course, secret elements.  Later, Charles Hires came across one of these recipes, and was so fond of  it, that he later packaged it as tea.  This tea was such a sensation, that the Hires family began selling it in a carbonated bottled version.  This beverage is still known today as one of the first sodas ever sold.

There is no doubt what this is. I use it only in 464 Soy, and I cannot comment on how it does in soap. However, I sold out of this one several times that I have had it.

Smelled perfect oob, but after 6 week cure, smells more like black licorice. Disappointing. I happen to like black licorice, but many in my family do not.

Soaps beautifully. No A but discolors to a light beige. Scent does morph just a bit to a licorice in cured bars but still smells like Root Beer
