Amish Friendship Bread Fragrance Oil

Description:

A Best Seller! An NG Original Fragrance! Natures Garden's Amish Friendship Bread fragrance is the aroma of fresh baked bread with notes of raisin, nut, and strawberries. A recipe for Amish Friendship Bread is located below.

Amish Friendship Bread Recipe

When making this bread, do not use metal utensils or containers.

  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour, divided
  • 3 cups white sugar, divided
  • 3 cups milk
    1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Let stand 10 minutes. In a 2 quart container glass, plastic or ceramic container, combine 1 cup flour and 1 cup sugar. Mix thoroughly or flour will lump when milk is added. Slowly stir in 1 cup milk and dissolved yeast mixture. Cover loosely and let stand until bubbly. Consider this day 1 of the 10 day cycle. Leave loosely covered at room temperature.
    2. On days 2 thru 4; stir starter with a spoon. Day 5; stir in 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Days 6 thru 9; stir only.
    3. Day 10; stir in 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Remove 1 cup to make your first bread, give 2 cups to friends along with this recipe, and your favorite Amish Bread recipe. Store the remaining 1 cup starter in a container in the refrigerator, or begin the 10 day process over again (beginning with step 2).

Please Note:  Due to the fact that our fragrances are 100% concentrated, we suggest that you test our fragrances in finished products before you make any conclusions about our fragrances.  Since our fragrances are so strong, we suggest only using 1/2 ounce to 1.0 ounce of fragrance per pound of candle wax.

    Coloring Suggestions:

Candles Use 2 drops of brown liquid candle dye per 4 pounds of wax or shred a small amount of a brown color block into your melted wax. Never use crayons to color your candles as they will clog your wick.
Bath/Body Products Use no soap dye.  Never use candle dye in any body products.

    Important Fragrance Specifics:

Phthalate-Free & Nitro Musk Free Fragrance YES
      Flash Point of Fragrance 200F
Vanillin Content of Fragrance (In the event that a fragrance contains vanillin, it may tend to discolor bath and body products and soap.  Please test thoroughly.) 6.70%

    Other Fragrance Specifics:

    • All of Natures Garden fragrance oils are packaged in phthalate-free, recyclable, HDPE (resin code No.2) or PET plastic bottles.
    • All of our fragrances are manufactured in the USA.
    • None of our fragrances are tested on animals
    • Our fragrances comply with the strictest global RIFM and IFRA standards
    • All of our fragrances are 100% concentrated.
    • All of our fragrances undergo a triple-check quality assurance program before we sell them to you.  We take the time to test each batch of fragrance in finished products to ensure quality and scent throw.
    • Our fragrances are premium grade; not the diluted, cheap grades sold by many companies.
    • Never use fragrance oils directly on your skin; they must be diluted in a product or solvent first.
    • Never consume any of our fragrances.
    • Keep fragrance out of reach of children and pets.
    • Natures Garden is not responsible for the products that you make with our supplies.
    • A fragrance will not smell the same out of the bottle as it does in a finished product. Always test fragrances thoroughly.
    • Allow candles to cure (set for a few days) to allow all fragrance notes to come alive.
    • Shelf-life for fragrance ranges from 6 months to 1 year.
    • Citrus fragrances may have a fuel-like smell when burning.  We suggest that you pour candles with citrus notes at the lowest possible temperature, or add a small amount of vanilla to these fragrances to avoid the fuel smell.
    • Fragrances may discolor bath and body products.  Thorough testing will be required of the customer in order to get the results that you desire.
    • Our fragrances are sold by weight and not volume.
    • Natures Garden has become the largest wholesale distributor of fragrance oils in the US.  Becoming the only online fragrance distributor for one of the world's leading fragrance companies has allowed us to sell our fragrances at the same price as many fragrance manufacturers.  Plus, we don't burden you with minimum purchase requirements.
    • All Fragrance sales are final.  We suggest that you test sample sizes before ordering larger quantities.

3 out of 5 stars Good Fragrance 10/13/2008
Reviewer: Charlene Wray from Grande Prairie, Alberta CA
A good smelling fragrance, not a very stong one though. Once my bottle runs out I probably won't order this one again. It smells good, I don't think it smells like Amish Friendship bread at all ...

4 out of 5 stars Great scent.... 10/03/2008
Reviewer: Julie Minshull from St. Lazare, Quebec CA
This is a good seller for us in our shop. I notice the name itself is a great selling point, as people love to buy it as a gift for a 'Friend'! The cold scent is very pleasant, berry-ish almondy cake type scent. It has a nice scent throw at 10% in Ecosoya CB Advanced Soy, not my strongest candle, but certainly nice!

This has a pleasant scent. I like the scent combination. You can smell the berries a bit more than the bread but it is very nice.

    3 out of 5 stars ... 08/14/2008
Reviewer: Monica Montgomery from California, PA US
I purchased this scent last fall for a customer and while the customer enjoyed it, it was not a great seller for me. This scent is pleasant, but it does not have a very strong hot throw. While I personally enjoy it, it just did not sell very well last year. Maybe this year will be different.

3 out of 5 stars Not too bad 07/22/2008
    Reviewer: A viewer from PA
This scent isn't too bad, more of a fruity smell, not as good as a seller as I had hoped.
