I almost didn't get this because of the reviews, this was my first time ever making soap. If you spray your mold with cooking spray like they tell you to, it will unmold pretty easily. Oatmeal extract is clear, so no it will not naturally be a tan base, add oatmeal to it and it will give it an oatmeal color, at least mine did. I used the oatmeal, milk, and honey FO and added ground oatmeal (not the quick cooking kind), and it made a beautiful bar of soap that is very moisturizing, lathers beautifully, and provided nice exfoliation with the addition of oatmeal.

This is the first product that I was complelety unsatisfied with from NG. First, to my surpise, the soap was white, with no tan color or oatmeal bits in it. Which is doesn't say it does. However the picture is deceiving because it shows a tan bar. Second, I couldn't unmold. I did all they told me to, but I finally had to break my expensive mold to get it out. Very disappointed with this purchase NG. They should show a white bar, on the pic.

I've loved all of NG products so far, except this soap base. My customers expect oatmeal soap to be tan or brown with bits of oatmeal for exfoliation and a natural nutty smell. This soap base has none of this - it's creamy white with no smell and is extremely difficult to unmold!

Does not release easily 10/23/2010

I love all of NG's products with the exception of this soap. It takes an act of GOD to get it to release from the mold. Once it does come out, it makes for a nice bar of soap but the time it takes to get to that point is unacceptable.
