Great for Acne

5 GOAT'S MILK Melt and Pour SOAP

Reviewer: from Capitan, NM US

My sons use this goat's milk MP soap without any scent added on their faces to prevent acne. Both of my sons were acne free after using this soap for about a month. I highly recommend it!

Melts wonderful. Hint for those with problems keeping it melted: use large pot and a medium 2cup glass measuring cup or larger to suit your needs. Add water to pot and set in medium heat on stove. Microwave soap in measuring cup till heated, then place measuring cup in heated water. This will keep it warm while you add other products. When adding powder color, mix powder in an oil first than add to soap. This helps the powder mix correctly. I use organic coconut oil and stir in my (spinach, hibiscus, etc.) powders in the oil, then add it to my soap.

This has got to be the worst brand of M&P soap base that I have ever used!! After heating it exactly as's just a big lumpy, slimy ball of yuk!!! If you over-heat it, it works great, but then because it was too hot, it warped/ruined my molds.....WILL NOT BUY AGAIN!!!

Had a horrid experience with this product! I needed to make a layered soap in the m.m. loafmold and used clear for two layers then when I went to use this it kept clumping up after 1 min it was completely solid! I had to keep remelting and I burned my second layer because I poured it too soon because in order to let it cool it clumps then I could not even get the embeds in because it set up a skin! Smh:-( :-(

Not real happy with this soap

2 GOAT'S MILK Melt and Pour SOAP

Reviewer: from Michigan

This soap is very hard to work with. Sets up very fast and leaves very little time for embeds/designs. It also leaves a film on the skin when using. It does hold scent very well. It was my first time making MP soaps and I made them for friends and family to test for me before I included it into my bath and body product line. Friends and family that tested the soaps for me said it was "filmy", lather was good but almost too thick, if that makes any sense! I personally have not tried this soap but do intend to make a small batch with my essential oil blend of lavender, sweet orange and patchouli and will come back with the results of the batch.

Nice, creamy lather. EASY to make nice, substantial soap bars with this! I add essential oils & bits of dried herbs or flowers and POOF, amazing bar of soap. Thank you, NG!

I was wonderfully surprised as to how rich and creamy this base was like pure milk! My customers have commented on how moisturizing it was and how it easily it lathered. Loved working with it and would definitely be ordering more.

Impossible to work with!

1 GOAT'S MILK Melt and Pour SOAP

Reviewer: from Auburndale, MA US

I was thoroughly disappointed with this soap base! After heating it in the microwave and stirring it to work out some clumps, it began to set up immediately. This made the soap impossible to work with. I had to constantly re-heat it so it would return to a liquid state in order to include my additives (which was only some cocoa powder, I didn't use a fragrance). What should have taken not even 10 minutes to complete took over 30 minutes! The consistency of the soap when it began to set up was quite odd to me. It was thick and somewhat spongey. When I sprayed some rubbing alcohol to get rid of the bubbles it actually created more bubbles. I could also see where the rubbing alcohol was sprayed because it stayed on top of the soap instead of blending in with it. I give it one star because of the nice, creamy, thick lather the soap produces. I will not buy this base again unless NG can give me tips on working with this base so that it actually works! I really really wish NG would carry SFIC bases!!
