Moonflower Fragrance Oil
89/400 size lid to trace around
Fabric (Silky works best)
Gallon Ziploc Bag
Stainless Steel Spoon
1. Prepare the Aroma Beads:
Step 1: Weigh out 5.5 ounces of Aroma Beads into a gallon Ziplock bag.
Step 2: Add 1.5 ounces of Natures Garden Moon Flower Fragrance Oil to Aroma Beads.
Step 3: Seal Ziplock bag and shake it until fragrance is evenly dispersed amongst aroma beads.
Step 4: Allow aroma bead mixture to set in Ziplock bag until all fragrance is completely absorbed into aroma beads. This should take about 24 hours. Mixture should not be wet when finished.
2. Prepare the Sachet Cover:
Step 1: Lay your fabric out upside down and flat. Using a 89/400 lid, trace 4 circle patterns with the marker. You want the marks to be on the underside of the fabric so that the ink will not be seen in the finished project.
Step 2: Take a ruler and mark 1/4 inch all the way around the pattern. Cut out your 4 patterns using your marks for the 1/4 inch of extra fabric.
Step 3: Place two circle patterns together so that the underside of the fabric are the ones that are showing. Using stick pins, connect the two pieces of fabric together.
Step 4: Start sewing the pieces together. The fabric should remain inside out while you are sewing. The two complete circle trace marks are your sewing guides. You will want to sew them together 75% of the way. Leave 25% unsown. You may now remove your stick pins.
Step 5: Turn the fabric right side out and select an area to place your fabric flower. Once you know where you would like it, stick your sewing needle through the flower and carefully begin to sew it into place. You only want the flower sewn into one of the fabrics, not both.
Step 6: Once the aroma beads have completely absorbed all of the fragrance oil, they are ready to be placed into the circle. Using a spoon carefully fill the circles. Note: It is extremely important that the aroma beads are dry to the touch. If you load wet aroma beads into the fabric, you will have wet spot appear on the finished product.
Step 7: When you are finished filling your circles, it is time to complete the sewing on the opened portion. It is best if you set the circles down on a flat surface so that they are standing up and not laying. This will prevent the aroma beads from falling out. Once the circle has been sewn into a moon, you are finished.
