I first used a stearic acid from a local craft store. For the same 1 lb amount purchased here, I paid double the price. What's more is that for the craft store product I had to use 3-5 tablespoons per lb (I used 5) and couldn't tell that I had used any. For this product, you only use ONE tablespoon and it gives a hardened yet creamy result !

Used in my soy wax candles, gave them a creamy smooth appearance. I also used in my M&P soap. This product not only makes my soap harder, but also makes the bars last longer.
