Winter Body Butter Recipe

Recipe makes a 1 pound batch

Information:

2 teaspoons Arrowroot powder
10 oz. Shea Butter
6 oz. Coconut Oil  
.5 oz. Winter Garden fragrance oil


Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.

In a pot, melt your shea butter & coconut oil very slowly on the stove.

Once melted, add your Winter Garden fragrance oil and arrowroot powder. Stir very well.

Pour mixture into a large mixing bowl and set over another bowl filled with ice to cool faster, or cover and set in refrigerator to cool.

As it cools it will become thicker, every 20 minutes or so, use a hand mixer, and whip the butter for several minutes, then place back to cool more. It will begin to get thicker each time you mix.  It will start to look like whipped cream.

Once the butter has solidified all the way and is no longer runny , spoon it into your jars and you are finished!
