Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.

Step 1: Prepare Crust:  In your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and melt 400 grams of Goat's Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time. Stir gently. Keep melting until all soap is in a liquid state.

Step 2: Add 6 drops FUN Brown Oxide, 4 drops FUN Orange Oxide, and 2 drops FUN Yellow Oxide soap colorant to melted soap. Mix well. Add 20 grams of Lemon Meringue Pie fragrance oil; stir well. Once incorporated, pour all of soap into a 9" diameter glass pie pan.

Step 3: Once your soap is poured into the pie pan, quickly grab your second glass pie pan and spray the bottom portion of the pie pan with Pam cooking spray.  Gently set the second pie pan in a stacked manner on top of the melted soap in the original pie pan.  Using some pressure, carefully push the top pie pan down until you see the crust colored soap at the top edge of the bottom pie pan.  Use weight (like canned vegetables) to keep the top pie pan in place.  Allow to set up at room temperature.

Step 4: Prepare the Pie Filling:  In your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and melt 600 grams of Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time. Stir gently. Keep melting until all soap is in a liquid state.

Step 5:  Spray Down:  Once the crust soap has set up, gently remove the top pie pan.  Using your alcohol in a spray bottle, generously spritz the crust with alcohol.  This will allow the soap pie filling to stick to the crust.

Step 6:  Add 9 drops FUN Neon Yellow and 1 drop FUN Yellow Oxide soap colorant to melted soap. Mix well. Add 30 grams of Lemon Meringue Pie fragrance oil; stir well. Once incorporated, pour all of soap into your soap crust.  Allow pie filling to set up completely.

Step 7: Prepare Lemon Slices and Zests: In your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and melt 100 grams of Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time. Stir gently. Keep melting until all soap is in a liquid state.

Step 8: Add 4 drops FUN Neon Yellow and 1 toothpick tip dipped in FUN Yellow Oxide soap colorant to melted soap. Mix well. Add 5 grams of Lemon Meringue Pie fragrance oil; stir well. Once incorporated, pour the soap into the lemon/lime slices mold.  Once all mold cavities have been filled, take the remaining melted soap and pour it into a paper plate.  Allow this to set up at room temperature.

Step 9: Using your alcohol in a spray bottle, generously spritz the pie filling with alcohol.  This will allow the soap meringue to stick to the pie filling.

Step 10: Prepare the Meringue:  In your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and melt 108 grams of Goat's Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time. Stir gently. Keep melting until all soap is in a liquid state.

Step 11:  Once melted, add 56 grams Vegetable Glycerin and 30 grams Imagine Base.  Stir.  Next add 10 grams fragrance oil and stir again.

Step 12:  Be READY to MOVE: Quickly, using your mixer, mix until your mixture looks like very thick, airy frosting.

Step 13:  Spread the Meringue:  Using your spatula, spread the meringue over the soap pie filling.  You will need to work relatively fast because melt and pour meringue waits for no one.

Step 14:  Decorating:  Get your lemon slices mold and place the mold upside down. Using your thumbs, apply gentle pressure to the lemon slices cavities. When the slices release; set them aside.

Step 15:  Gently pull the yellow soap off of the paper plate.  Then, using a butter knife, slice the remaining yellow soap into thin slices.  Curl these slices around a pencil for zest curls.

Step 16:  Use the lemon slices and zest curls to decorate the top of your lemon meringue pie soap.

Step 17:  Once your pie is completely set up, cut pie into slices.

Please Note:  Lemon Meringue Pie Fragrance Oil does have a vanillin content of 2%.  Fragrance oils that contain vanillin will discolor over time.  If you prefer not to add fragrance oil to the meringue portion of your pie, you do have the option of leaving it unscented.
