This is a perfect true vanilla, not terribly sweet or overly floral, just vanilla with a hint of warmth. I have not soaped it yet, but it performs perfectly in lotions with only slight discoloration (beige). All of the feedback from my testers has named this fragrance a favorite!

sweet vanilla 04/01/2012

This was definitely sweeter than I had wanted. I made this in a low sweat M&P, clear, and added in goat's milk powder and vanilla bean specks. I had hoped that this f/o would match the natural scent of the vanilla bean specks; but it didn't. If you are looking for something that reminds you of a warm vanilla and brown sugar - or something on the sweeter side, this is going to be great for you.

I was expecting more of an amber/vanilla scent. This is not a sweet scent, more musky and it just wasn't me since I like sweeter vanillas. I mixed it with amber in body butter and that worked a bit.

I must have tried 7 different vanillas before I found this. I receive many requests for a vanilla-ish scent that I can use pure in my goat's milk soaps, the fragrance also mixes well with musks, citruses, figs, etc. It is a very light pure scent, not at all that sickenly sweet vanilla. If you are looking for a clean vanilla scent - this is it!

This is a very pretty vanilla. Not sure what it is, but it has a feminine nature to it. Not fake, not sweet, but soft. Like it a lot. It has decent hot/cold throw in soy. Tried a sample, so will buy larger to see how it does with everyone.

Not your ordinary vanilla... 02/12/2010

I'll start off by saying the only kind of vanilla I like is Madagascan vanilla--so right off the name grabbed me. I didn't like the smell right OOB but after I mixed it with a carrier oil the beautiful smell grabbed me! This is an exotic and sensual Vanilla--the kind you'd find in a perfume as opposed to in baked goods so keep that in mind. It's great on its own but it added a wonderful dimension to a coffee FO I used in a body scrub.

Used this in a lotion and it was amazing! Have used different vanilla fragrance oils before and hadn't found the 'right' one. This one is it. Soft, rich vanilla with beautiful undertones. Try it, you'll love it!
