You will need a Gallon Pump in order to get the bath gel out of the gallon bottle. 4. If you plan to fragrance and color an entire gallon of Ritzy Bath Gel one fragrance/color, then proceed as follows: Add the permitted usage level of fragrance oil/ or less than the permitted usage level of fragrance to the bath gel. Since fragrance oils contain chemicals which may affect the viscosity of your finished product, we suggest testing small batches. Some fragrance oils may thin the bath gel, while other fragrance oils may actually thicken the gel. In the event that your finished bath gel becomes too thin after adding fragrance to it, you may want to add some table salt to the mixture and heat. Adding table salt (starting with a very small amount, and working your way up) to fragranced surfactants usually helps to thicken the end product. Each fragrance differs in chemical composition, so they will each affect the end product differently.
For easy dispensing, try one of our gallon pumps!
Essential Oils may be used in place of fragrance oils (Review IFRA sheet for any essential oil you want to use). In fact, peppermint essential oil will add a cooling effect to your bath gel, shampoo, bubble bath.

Nice out of the bottle, but most fragrances tend to thin it out quite a bit so you will definitely need some Xanthum to help thicken it up. Made liquid hand soap with this and most of them turned out great, even though some of them were too thin, it still works well.

Too thin 02/24/2013

The gel is good consistency out of the jug, but adding most fragrances thin it out to water-like consistency. I've tried 7 fragrances so far, and only 2 are a usable consistency. The others are too thin no matter how much thickener I add. I hope to salvage some by using it for foaming hand soap. I do not plan on buying this product again.

I ordered a gallon of this Ritzy Gel. I made 2 shampoos, one with peppermint and one with green apple explosion fragrance oils. The peppermint one isn't very thick and the apple one is almost like water. Is there anything I can do to fix this or are these fragrances not recommended for this use?

I was prepared to not be crazy about this base due to the sles BUT I have to admit it did not dry my skin or hair out and rinsed clean. Left my skin soft and hair soft and shiny. Didn't have any trouble with adding phytokeratins and panthenol and silk peptides along with fo. All in all I am amazed and very pleased with this base. It's a keeper!

I have been looking for a body wash base to add fragrance and add to my lotion line. This is the best I have found. Although most fragrance oils thin the gel out, I dispenced the base into a foamer bottle (also purchased through NG) and that worked perfectly!

I have tried SO many gel bases and this is the only one that I come back for. It takes fragrance beautifully. I never need crothix to thicken it no matter what scent I use. PLEASE KEEP THIS BASE!

This base is wonderful! I bought a gallon and I can make about a dozen 8oz bottles of shower gel. Some of the fragrances I added did make the base a little watery, Butt Naked for example. While other fragrances I added worked great and smelled fantastic! This base works great as a shower gel or shampoo! Buy it, try it, you won't be disappointed!

I like this base because it leaves my hair really clean, soft and smooth. It makes a great bubble bath and shower gel as well. My only complaint(if I have to have one) is that it thins out quite alot with some FO's, other than that it does make beautiful and effective shower gel.

I really like the consistency of this gel. Unfortunately most of FOs thin the gel to almost water consistency. I used it as shower gel on a sponge, it lathers very nice and only a little is enough. Also, the FOs make the gel creamy white, which is normal think. I don;t have any other gel to compare the Ritzy gel too, but this one is great. A little bit of thickener and it's perfect!

Recently I started to make body wash for myself. I was tired of spending way too much money for the "Great" scented body washes. Well, now I can have any scent I choose and it is way cheaper than the $8-$12 you pay in the store for only 5-8 ounces. This way it only costs me $0.32 per ounce with shipping. Last month's Frangrance of the month was perfect for my favorite body wash, that a certain store no longer carries, I just used that fragrance and added 1/3 of an ounce to the 8 oz bottle, that I also purchased here, and now I have my favorite "Nature's Gardens' Scented Body Washes". I love this store!!!.

bought the gel, because I was going to be making gift baskets... Well everyone love it,even have had a few return customers for this... the only thing I noticed was that some scents don't hold well after rinsing off, which some of my customers look for, but all in all I think this is the best base out there....

I ordered this and was dissapointed with the consistency. When I made a bath gel I found that the consistency wasn't thin as it had first appeared. However, I used a cheaper brand from another company and I found that it never gave my gels a slightly cloudy appearance as this one did and I used the same amount of fragrance and color in both.

I LOVE this bath/shower gel base. I am in the experimental stage of a bath product company and I gave out samples of this shower gel and everyone absolutely loved it! I myself have sensitive skin (especially on my legs) and most shower gels make my skin itch and burn. My skin feels soft and not at all itchy after using this gel. THANKS!
