Monkey Farts fragrance oil is a best-selling fragrance oil at Natures Garden.

Monkey Farts Fragrance Oil-Fragrance Oil Spotlight

It is summertime, and what tried-and-true fragrance oil screams “Summer fun” better than Monkey Farts Fragrance Oil? At first glance, you may feel like uttering the phrase, ” YUCK, SICK, GROSS”. But let me assure you, Monkey Farts fragrance oil is far from a nauseating aroma. In fact, Monkey Farts has been a best-selling fragrance oil at Natures Garden for many many years. Not only do adults love it, it happens to be a super popular fragrance oil with little kids.

What does Monkey Farts Fragrance Oil smell like?

This unique fragrance begins with top notes of fresh bananas and juicy grapefruit, middle notes of kiwi, juicy bubblegum, and strawberries; and a hint of vanilla as a base note. Let’s put it this way: The name attracts new customers, and the scent makes it a best seller.

How do our customers use our Monkey Farts Fragrance Oil?

Most of our clientele are candle makers, so many of our customers use this scent to make container candles, pillar candles, and candle tarts. A growing number of soap makers are using Natures Garden fragrance oils in their melt and pour soaps, cold process soaps, and hot process soaps. How does Monkey Farts Fragrance Oil perform in CP soap? The results reported back to us by our soap tester: Slight ricing, stick blend, no acceleration, discolors to beige. However, some customers (who likely used a different soap recipe) report that they have no ricing in their CP soap. Regardless, it is still one of our best-selling scents for soap making.

Monkey Farts fragrance oil is used by many customers to make lotions, creams, body butters, bath bombs. Our staff even used this fragrance to make Monkey Farts scented markers and scented glitterized high heel shoes. We seriously have too much fun at Natures Garden; it should be a sin to have this much fun!

In closing, I might add that the name Monkey Farts is not for everyone. Many of our customers rename it to things like: Monkey Toots, Funky Monkey, Chunky Monkey. Whether you place the name Monkey Farts on your product labels, that is your call. One things is for certain: Your customers will love the smell!

Happy 4th of July from Natures Garden

usaHappy 4th of July from all of us at Natures Garden! Today is a day to be thankful for the freedoms we have, and to be reminded of how important it is to never take those freedoms for granted. The rights we have in the US are individual rights, not collective rights; thus protecting the individual from mob rule. Very courageous men and women have fought to keep those rights for us, and I am eternally grateful to our military for everything they do for this country. I am also grateful to all of the constitution-supporting elected officials who fight everyday to keep our freedoms alive and well.  Without personal freedoms, it would be very difficult to make the American Dream come true.

My personal life story, I have been told, is a story of the American Dream that came true.  I say this with all humbleness, and thoroughly understand that my American Dream story did not come true simply by my efforts or my business knowledge alone.  My American Dream came true by building a team of people who were committed to making Natures Garden a success, and due to the customers who have believed in us over the years.  Back in 1997 when we started Natures Garden, the only thing we had going for us was a “commitment to a dream”.  Working out of a very small basement, we had no money, very very limited space, and very little help.  I knew we needed to find help to make this dream come true, but how in the world would I get people to believe in this dream I had?  Let’s face it, the work environment was a far cry from something that looked like it had the potential of success.natures garden crew

I told myself that if my company would ever be taken seriously, I would have to treat my dream with respect, and get people to work with me who believed in that dream too.  I surrounded myself with people who believed in me and the company dream.  Being only 29 years old, fired up with ambition, I was some how able to sleep only a few hours a night without killing myself.  Everyday I would say to my team, “Failure is not an option”.

You see, nothing in life has come easy to me.  At one point in my life, living in a small trailer, I could not even afford fuel oil to stay warm in the middle of winter.  Even at the lowest point in my life, I never thought I had it rough.  I simply picked up extra shifts waitressing to make ends meet.  For some reason, God has always provided.  Things do not fall into my lap, and if there is such a thing as “luck”, I sure have none.  What I have is an obsessive work ethic, and an uncontrolled optimism that great things can and will happen when you remain committed to what you want to achieve. In America, if you dream it, you truly can achieve it.  It may not be easy (it sure wasn’t for me), but we do have a system that allows ambitious people to reach their dreams.

After 16 years in business, I look back and I am truly thankful for the Freedoms I have in America.  Without those rights, and without elected officials who fight to keep those rights, small businesses in America would not exist.  I am thankful to all of our customers who have believed in us over the years.  I am thankful for the amazing team I get to work with at Natures Garden.  These people truly care about our customers, and they care about their personal performance.  God bless all of you, and may God continue to Bless the USA!

1.  What’s your name & Your Company Name – Marcy Moorhead, owner of Willow Bay Naturals

2.  Why did you decide to go into business?  What was your motivation?  How long have you been in business?  I had been buying handmade soap from other people and decided to research how to make it myself. I have really sensitive skin and always had problems finding skin care products that worked for me that didn’t irritate my skin. I had an online sales business previously, that I had just recently sold and I was looking for my next project. So, I decided to put my time and efforts into learning how to make handmade soap and other natural skincare products. I started the business in 2009.

3.  What products do you make and sell?  I make cold process soap, lotion, lip balm, soy candles, air freshener, and essential oil aromatherapy products.

4.  What are your business goals?  I would like to make a decent living at doing what I love. It is still a work in progress, trying to streamline my product line into what I enjoy making and what is most popular.

5.  What are some products you use from Natures Garden?  Many of my favorite and most popular fragrance oils are from Natures Garden – Australian Bamboo Grass, Bite Me, Lily of the Valley fragrance oil, Loving Spell, Green Clover & Aloe, and Clean Cotton are all top sellers in Soap, Candles, and Room & Linen Spray.

Homemade Soap and Lotions

fragrance oils1.  What’s your name & Your Company Name:  I sell my soaps and body products under the name Bird Bath Essentials.  The big umbrella of my business is The Robin’s Nest and encompasses my fiber and other interests.

2.  Why did you decide to go into business?  What was your motivation?  How long have you been in business?  There’s always been a little entrepreneur in me!  I learn to do something and once I perfect it, I just have to share it with others.  I started The Robin’s Nest in 1984 and added Bird Bath Essentials for the handcrafted soap and body products in the early 2000’s.

3.  What products do you make and sell?  My main body product is soap.  I have developed my base recipe to include nourishing oils and then I enjoy adding herbs from my garden, different milks, seeds, colorants, etc. to individualize my bars.  Enjoying the process, I consider each bar a little work of art.  I also make cream lotion, body/bath oils, sugar polish, bath salts, lip and body butter.  I knit, spin (on a spinning wheel not a bike!), and dabble in watercolors and polymer clay.  Occasionally, you’ll find products that reflect these interests in my shop, as well.  Always in the sharing mode, I also offer classes in knitting and traditional rug hooking and hope to add soapmaking to the list soon.

4.  What are your business goals?  My business goal is to make and offer nourishing body products – ones that are not only nourishing to the skin but to all the senses and the soul.  I work fulltime as a registered nurse and my business dream is to reach a point where I can spend more time on The Robin’s Nest / Bird Bath Essentials than on nursing!

5.  What are some products you use from Natures Garden; what are your favorite products from Natures Garden?  I’m in love with Natures Garden’s fragrance oils and really appreciate the descriptive information that’s provided for each one.  Some of my best sellers include products that incorporate the following fragrances – Sea Salt & Lotus Blossom, Cashmere & Silk fragrance oil, Blackberry Jam, and Aloe Vera & Cucumber.
