Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe: A Few Key Ingredients

First, we will talk about a few of these ingredients that we will be using today.  While there are many great butters and oils in this recipe, we will talk about the stars of this sugar scrub recipe.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe: Black Tuxedo Fragrance Oil

First, we will talk about Black Tuxedo Fragrance Oil.  This fragrance oil smells AMAZING in this scrub.  Ladies and gents, you cannot go wrong!  While it might not be a fragrance that the ladies will wear, they will love the way their men smell while wearing it.  So, what does the glorious Black Tuxedo Fragrance Oil smell like?

This fragrance oil by Natures Garden is a modern, classy, sexy, complex blend of the following fragrance notes:  bergamot, lemon, silver fir, and geranium;  all sitting on intoxicating notes of woods, leather, and musk.  A man wearing this is sure to get attention! Natures Garden’s Black Tuxedo fragrance oil smells similar to the popular Polo Black fragrance on the market, but we are in no way associated with the company, nor do we suggest that our fragrance is an exact duplication.

Top Notes:  lemon, mandarin, fresh air, bergamot
Mid Notes:  jasmine, herbs, silver fir, geranium
Base Notes:  timber, patchouli, cedar, musk, amber, leather

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe:  Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate

Next, let’s talk about SCI, also known as Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate!  This is a wonderful, fairly new product from Natures Garden.  If you haven’t heard about it, I consider this product as MUST try.  Our SCI comes in a granulated form.  It is an alternative to SLS.  It is a foaming and cleansing agent.  This is the ingredient that will give the scrub its foaming action.  In addition, you will love how it leaves your skin feeling.  It will feel soft, smooth, and refreshed!

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe:  Activated Charcoal Powder

Now, let’s look a little closer at the activated charcoal powder used in our foaming body scrub for men recipe.  Activated charcoal is a product of burned hard woods. It provides a natural way to color your soap black.  Activated charcoal is also used as a detoxifying agent.  Activated charcoal is a natural odor absorber.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe:  Silky Emulsifying Wax

Silky emulsifying wax is the ingredient that allows us to create a blended mixture.  It also lets us be able create the layers.  If the emulsifying wax was not included, the oils would separate from the sugar.  Read on for a little bit more about this ingredient.  Silky Emulsifying Wax is a non-ionic emulsifying wax that has been developed for difficult systems. This plant based mixture of fatty alcohols and ethoxylated fatty alcohols will impart outstanding stability to a product. Silky Emulsifying Wax is self- emulsifying, highly stable in acidic and basic media, highly compatible with most cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients, white, low in odor and has a broad range of application potential. Low concentrations of Silky Emulsifying Wax will improve the consistency and stability of emulsions.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe:  Prior to Starting

Prior to starting this recipe, you will want to clean and sanitize your work area.  You will also want to do the same with the utensils and packaging materials.  We also suggest wearing gloves, a hair net, and an apron when preparing this body scrub recipe.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe: Prepare Your Double Boiler

As always, we will melt our oils, butters, and waxes using a double boiler.  Using a double boiler will allow the oils to melt slowly and prevent them from burning.  We will create this double boiler by adding a few inches of water to a large pot.  Then, we will heat the water and place a smaller pan, containing our oils, butters, and waxes, into the larger pot containing the water.  So, at this time, go ahead and place a larger pan of water on your stove.  Turn the heat on medium.  If we heat it now, it will be heated just in time to begin melting our oils.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe: Weigh Out Your Oils, Waxes, and Butters

Next, we will begin weighing out our waxes, oils, and butters.  So, place your smaller pot on your scale.  Then, add the following 110 grams Coconut Oil 76, 113 grams Meadowfoam Seed Oil, 62 grams Shea Butter Refined, 74 grams Mango Butter, 50 grams Silky Emulsifying Wax, 12 grams White Beeswax, 30 grams Macadamia Nut Oil, and 10 grams Lanolin Oil USP.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe: Melting Your Oils, Waxes, and Butters

Now, we will be melting your oils, waxes, and butters.  So, place your small pot in the larger pot on your stove.  Allow the contents to melt.  You will want to stir occasionally as they are melting.  Once they have completely melted, you can remove them from the heat.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe:  Preparing Your Colorants

While you are waiting for the waxes and butter to melt, you can begin preparing your colorants.  So, you will need two small bowls.  To your first bowl, add 5 grams of activated charcoal.  Then, to the same bowl, add 18 grams of vegetable glycerin.

Finally, mix the two together until the mixture is clump free.  Next, we will mix our titanium dioxide.  In a second small bowl, add 2 grams of your titanium dioxide oil dispersible and add 15 grams of your vegetable glycerin.  Finally, mix them together until the contents are clump free.  While we will also be coloring one layer blue, we do not need to mix this color.  This is because we will be using a blue FUN Soap Colorant.  FUN Soap Colorants are pigments dispersed in vegetable glycerin.  This means it is already mixed for you.  So, all we have to do is add it when we are ready for it. Go ahead and set

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe:  Preparing Your Sugar

Another thing you can do while you are waiting is begin preparing your sugar.  We will also be adding sodium cocoyl isethionate also known as SCI.  SCI is the ingredient that creates the foam in this scrub recipe. It will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.  So, in a deep mixing bowl, add 680 grams of your white sugar.  Also, add 120 grams of your SCI.  Finally, mix the two ingredients together and break up any clumps you find.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe: Adding Your Scent

There are a few more ingredients we will be adding.  You want to add the final ingredients when the temperature has dropped to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.  They will be added to the bowl containing the melted oils.  First, you will be adding your scent.  So, add 20 grams of Black Tuxedo Fragrance Oil.  Then, add 15 grams of Arrowroot Powder, 5 grams of Vitamin E Oil, and 5 grams of Optiphen Preservative.  Mix to incorporate the ingredients.  I would like to note, use caution with this step.  It is important that the preservative is added between 120 degrees Fahrenheit and 140 degrees Fahrenheit.  If it is added at too low of a temperature, you will not have a proper emulsion.  If the temperature is too high, you will burn the preservative off.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe:  Mixing Your Oils and Sugar

You can now begin mixing your oils and sugar mixture.  You will need the bowl containing sugar and SCI.  To the bowl containing your sugar, add the melted oils.  Then, mix them together.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe:  Separate Your Sugar Scrub Mixture

Now, we will need to separate your sugar scrub.  You will need to equally divide the body scrub into three bowls.  You will need about 440 grams of the scrub in each bowl.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe: Coloring Your Scrub

First, you will need the colorants you prepared earlier.  You will also need the Ultramarine Blue FUN Soap Colorant.  Add the titanium dioxide to one bowl and mix it into the scrub.  Then, add the activated charcoal to the next bowl.  Finally, to the third bowl, add about 10 drops of the blue soap colorant.  Once you have added and mixed in the colorants, allow the temperature to drop to room temperature.

Foaming Body Scrub for Men Recipe:  Adding Your Scrubs to the Jars

Finally, it is time to add the foaming body scrub to the jars.  So, you will need eight of the 4 ounce jars.  You can layer the scrub in whatever order you would like.  Personally, I found that I prefer the black layer on the bottom of the jar.  So, I will begin with that one.  Fill your jar one third of the way full with your black body scrub.  Next, add a layer of your white sugar scrub.  You want to fill the second third of the jar with the white scrub.  As you are filling your jars, be careful not to get the scrub on the walls of the jars.  If you do, you will be able to see it bleeding into the other layers.

Lastly, let’s add the final layer!  Add the blue layer of your body scrub to each jar.  After you have filled the remainder of each of the jars with the blue scrub, you are almost finished.  Once your jar is completely full, simply place a lid on top of each jar.  Then, your handmade body scrub for men is ready to use!

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Clean and Sanitize Before Working

Before you begin this project make sure to have a clean work space prepared and that you have your sanitized utensils ready to use. This is not only important for you to have an easier time crafting, but prevents your cute Pink Lemonade Scrubs from potentially being contaminated during the process. So, you must be clean and prepared to make the best possible sugar scrub while having the most fun that you can. Thus, we suggest that you do some tidying prep work.

First, remove anything in your work space that could get in your way. For this layered body scrub recipe you will need both a flat surface to work and a stove top. So, be sure you have these areas both cleaned and sanitized. Next, you will want to make sure that all of your equipment is ready to use. Not only should it be sanitized, but it should be within an arms length of your work space. This will make the process easy for you as you will not need to pause to look for any of the necessary components. After everything is ready for you to work, it is time for you to create your sweet sugar scrub!

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Using the Double Boiler Method

Further, you should know how to create a double boiler for this recipe. If you already know what this is, then skip ahead. But, those that don’t know how to create one should pay attention because this device is crucial for avoiding burnt oils. Thus, a double boiler can potentially save you from a disaster with your butters and oils.

So, we will walk through how to create the double boiler with two average pots. First, take the two differently sized pots that you should have ready for this recipe and make sure that one pot can fit inside the other pot easily with some room on either side. The larger pot will contain the water and the smaller pot will be used to melt your ingredients. Also, you want the water to touch the bottom of the small pot, but make sure the water won’t splash into your oils!

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Heating Your Oils, Butters, and WaxPink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Weighing and Heating Your Oils, Butters, and Wax

First, you will weigh out all the ingredients that you will need to heat and melt for this recipe. So, get a scale and tare the weight of a bowl. Weigh out 136 grams of the Coconut Oil 76, 113 grams of the Sunflower Oil, 74 grams of the Mango Butter, 62 grams of the Cocoa Butter Golden Natural, 50 grams of the Traditional Emulsifying Wax, 20 grams of the Olive Oil Pomace, and 12 grams of the Beeswax White Pastilles. Then, transfer these ingredients to the small pot of your double boiler. Occasionally stir as these weighed ingredients are melting.

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Preparing the Powdered HerbsPink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Preparing the Powdered Herbs for Your Body Scrub

While you wait for your ingredients to melt, you can prepare your other powders. You will need your titanium dioxide, lemon peel powder and arrowroot powder. Also, get three medium bowls.

First, take one of your clean bowls and weigh out a single gram of the Lemon Peel Powder into the bowl. Then, add 7 grams of the vegetable glycerin to this same bowl. Now, mix these two ingredients together well enough to create a paste. This lemon powder paste will be used later in the yellow colored layer of this scrub. Second, take another of your clean bowls and weigh 2 grams of your Titanium Dioxide Oil Dispersible. This will be used for the white layer of this scrub. Finally, add 15 grams of arrowroot powder to the third bowl.  Set all of these bowls aside for now.

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Adding Ingredients to Melted MixturePink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Adding Ingredients to Melted Mixture

After your oils, waxes, and butter ingredients are melted, you will be adding a few more liquid ingredients. So, transfer your melted oils, butters, and wax to the same bowl used to weigh them earlier and tare the bowl’s weight on the scale. Then, wait until the temperature drops to about 120-140 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, you can weigh 18 grams of the Raspberry Lemonade Fragrance Oil, 5 grams of the Optiphen Preservative, the 15 grams of the Arrowroot Powder, and 5 grams of the Vitamin E Oil. Finally, mix all these ingredients well enough to incorporate everything.

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Adding the White Granulated SugarPink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Adding the White Granulated Sugar

Now, we are going to weigh the white granulated sugar for this scrub. So, take your scale and weigh out 680 grams of the white granulated sugar.  Then, add the sugar to the oil mixture that you have created. As you are adding the sugar, make sure that you stir well enough to incorporate everything. You want to make sure that the sugar is evenly dispersed throughout the oil mixture.

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Separating the Scrub for the Three LayersPink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Separating the Scrub for the Three Layers

Next, you are going to separate your big batch into three bowls. These will each be colored differently to create the three layers. Make sure you use the two bowls that we used for the lemon peel paste and the titanium dioxide as well as another clean bowl. Now, divide the large mixture of sugar and oils into your three bowls evenly. Each of these three bowls should get about 400 grams of the sugar scrub mixture.

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Coloring the Three Scrub Layers Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Creating the Different Sugar Scrub Layers

Now, you are going to color the contents of your three bowls. Each of these bowls will be a different color, which will be a white, a pink, and a yellow.

First, you will create the yellow colored scrub layer. For this step you will need the bowl that contains the lemon peel powder paste and a portion of the scrub mixture. Then, add 15 drops of the FUN Soap Colorant Neon Yellow to this same bowl and mix well to incorporate all of your colorant. Second, you will need the white colored sugar scrub. You should have already created this color using the 2 grams of titanium dioxide that you have previously weighed. Just make sure to mix well enough to create a white hue and set these two bowls aside.

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Coloring the Pink Scrub LayerPink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Coloring the Pink Scrub Layer

Next, you will be creating the bottom layer of your sugar scrub. This third bowl will be colored pink. So, add 2 drops of your FUN Soap Colorant Tomato Red, 2 drops of the FUN Soap Colorant Ultramarine Violet , and 5 drops of the FUN Soap Colorant Neon Pink to the last uncolored bowl. This will create the most perfect pink hue for the Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe! Mix the colorant into the scrub. Now, you have the pink, yellow, and white colors prepared for the layers of your scrub!

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Layering the Sugar ScrubPink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Layering the Sugar Scrub

Now, you will be adding the completed sugar scrub mixtures to your clear PET jars. First, you must wait for each bowl to reach room temperature. After, your scrub is ready to package up and you can begin creating your three layers.

First, you are going to be adding your pink sugar scrub mixture to the jars first. So, take the pink colored sugar scrub mixture and begin scooping it into one of your jars, You will want to make sure to leave room for the other two layers, so only fill each of your seven jars 1/3 of the way full. Then, repeat this step with your other jars until you are out of pink sugar scrub.

Pink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Finishing Up the Sugar ScrubPink Lemonade Scrub Recipe Adding More of the Sugar Scrub Layers

Then, you are going to create the next layers with your remaining two colored scrubs. Now, you will use the white portion of your pink lemonade scrub for your second layer. Yo will want to fill the jar about one third more. Again, make sure to leave room for the remaining layer. Repeat this for the remainder of your PET jars. This should leave you with two layers in each jar.

Finally, you will be adding the last layer to your jars. So,take your yellow portion of this scrub and fill the rest of your jars to the inner rim. But, don’t add too much yellow to a single jar as this layer should be about as thick as any other layer you have added. Now, your jars are completely and your scrub is finally ready!  Simply, place a lid on each jar, and if you’d like, you can use them right away.

Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Clean and Sanitize

Before you begin, make sure that all your equipment and your work space is sanitized. This will prevent possible contamination from using dirty utensils or setting those utensils on a dirty counter top. Also, having your work space tidy will help you create this recipe.  Not only will all your equipment be close and ready to use, but there won’t be anything impeding your ability to work. Now, lets get started!

Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Making the Double Boiler

Also, you will want to know how to create the double boiler before we begin. If you already know how to create this melting device, then feel free to begin the recipe. However, those that aren’t sure how to put this together can read through this short step-by-step instruction on how to create a double boiler. We stress this importance because the double boiler is crucial to preventing your butters and oils from scorching.

First, get your small pot and your medium pot. The larger pot will contain the boiling water and the smaller pot will contain the ingredients that you intend to have melting. So, add about an inch of water to the medium pot to start. Then, place your smaller pot inside the medium pot. You will need to adjust the water level so that it is at least touching the bottom of the small pot, but not high enough to boil over into your melting ingredients. Finally, you can turn on the stove top and add your ingredients to the small pot.

Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Melting Your Butters and WaxFoaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Melting Your Butters and Wax

First, you will need to melt the necessary ingredients for your scrub. Retrieve the scale and tare the weight of a bowl. Now, weigh out 136 grams of coconut oil 76, 113 grams of sweet almond oil, 62 grams of cocoa butter, 74 grams of shea butter, 50 grams of silky emulsifying wax, 20 grams of olive oil, and 12 grams of beeswax. After, you will be ready to melt your weighed ingredients. So, pour these ingredients into the small pot of your double boiler and set the stove to medium heat. Stir as the butters and wax melts and continue until everything has completely melted.

Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Creating Hibiscus Flower PasteFoaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Creating Hibiscus Flower Paste

While you wait for your ingredients to melt, you can begin creating the Hibiscus Flower Powder paste. So, weigh out 8 grams of Hibiscus Flower Powder and 20 grams of Vegetable Glycerin into a second bowl. You will need to mix these ingredients together very well until everything has been combined to create a paste consistency. Then, set this bowl aside for later use.

Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub After the Butters and Wax MeltFoaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub After the Butters and Wax Melt

Now, we will be adding a few more ingredients to the larger mixture, which is made of butters, oils, and wax. So, wait for the butters and wax to finish melting. After all the ingredients are melted, transfer these ingredients to a bowl. Now, allow your mixture to cool to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature is important as it prevents the preservative or other ingredients from burning off. Then, it is time for you to add 5 grams of optiphen preservative,5 grams of vitamin E oil, 121 grams of sodium cocoyl isethionate, and 20 grams of Hawaiian Sea Mist Fragrance Oil to your melted mixture. Be sure to mix thoroughly and incorporate all the added ingredients.

Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Adding the Whit Granulated Sugar Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Adding the Whit Granulated Sugar

Next, you will add the sugar to the larger mixture of melted ingredients. So, weight out 680 grams of the white granulated sugar in a separate bowl. Then, slowly add the sugar to your mixture while you are whisking. This well incorporate all of the oils into the added sugar to create a well combined sugar scrub mixture.

Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Adding the Hibiscus Flower Powder Mixture Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Adding the Hibiscus Flower Powder Mixture

Then, you can add the Hibiscus Flower Powder paste to the larger mixture. So, retrieve the paste that you have set aside in a previous step. Now, add the Hibiscus flower powder paste to your larger mixture. Again, make sure that you mix thoroughly to disperse the Hibiscus Flower Powder completely. However, incorporating this ingredient may be a bit more difficult as it is a thicker paste. While it may take more work, just keep mixing until the paste is dispersed evenly through the entire bowl.

Foaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Adding the Hibiscus Scrub to the JarsFoaming Hibiscus Sugar Scrub Adding the Hibiscus Scrub to the Jars

Finally, you are ready for the finishing touches for your foaming sugar scrub! First, allow your mixture to fully cool to room temperature. After, your will be able to pour your scrub into your nine 4 oz jars. We recommend using a spoon or spatula to scoop the mixture into your jars, but you can transfer the scrub anyway your want to do this.

Once all the sugar scrub mixture is put into the jars you can add the whole hibiscus flowers to the tops. Simply sprinkle a tiny bit on the top of each jar. Then, you can place the lids on the jars to either store or use the scrub. If you wish to use your foaming scrub, just scrub your hands under some warm, running water. Also, you can use this scrub in the shower as well. It will foam, soften you skin, and feel amazing. So, we are pretty sure that you are going to really enjoy this recipe!

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Melting OilsPumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Preparing Your Double Boiler

One more thing before we start, you should know, placing your oils and butter on direct heat can burn your oils. For a double boiler, you will need two pots. Fill one of your pots with water. Place this pot on the stove using low heat. Then, add your weighed out butters and oils to the second pot. Place the second pot in the first pot containing the water.

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Melting Your Oils

Pumpkin-Sugar-Scrub-Recipe-Weighing-OilsYou will begin by weighing out the following, 136 grams Coconut 76 oil, 93 grams Sunflower Oil, 74 grams Cocoa Butter Golden Natural, 62 grams Shea Butter, 50 grams Silky Emulsifying Wax, 20 grams Meadowfoam Seed Oil, 20 grams Pumpkin Seed Oil,12 grams White Beeswax. Now, you should place these ingredients in your double boiler. Allow them to melt.

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Preparing Your Colorants

While you are waiting for your oils to melt, you can go ahead and prepare your colorants. You will need three small mixing bowls. While we will also be using Natures Garden’s Neon Orange FUN Soap Colorant, this will not be needed until later in the recipe. For now, we will just be preparing the powders that are needed for coloring. Once you have prepared them, you can set them aside, we will come back to them.

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Orange LayerBowl One: The Orange Layer

To your first mixing bowl, weigh out and add grams of orange peel powder. Then, to the powder, add 15 grams of vegetable glycerin. Now use one of your mixing spoons to stir the ingredients. You are looking for a paste like consistency. Just make sure you have removed any lumps in the powder. Creating a paste allows the powder to disperse better, or more evenly in your scrub.

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Brown LayerBowl Two: The Brown Layer

In the second mixing bowl, weigh out and add 4 grams of your pumpkin pie spice blend. Again, add 15 grams of vegetable glycerin. You want to mix them again with a clean spoon to create a paste.

Bowl Three: The White Layer

To bowl three, we will just be weighing out the titanium dioxide. You simply need to weigh out two grams of titanium dioxide oil dispersible. Since we will be adding this to our oils, you do not need to create a paste with this one.

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Adding Your Other Ingredients

Next, once your oils have melted, remove them from the heat. You will need to watch the temperature closely. This step is extremely temperature sensitive. The reason for this is, the optiphen. Optiphen is a preservative used to prevent bacteria in the scrub. While typically optiphen is only added to products that contain water, we chose to add it because scrubs tend to come in contact with a lot of water. It needs to be added at 120 degrees. If it is added at a higher temperature, above 140 degrees Fahrenheit, you will burn off the preservative. However, adding it below 120 degrees Fahrenheit will cause separation.

Once your oils reach the magic number of 120 degrees Fahrenheit, add the following ingredients, 18 grams Pumpkin Walnut Biscotti Fragrance Oil, 5 grams optiphen preservative, 5 grams vitamin E oil, and 15 grams arrowroot powder. Mix well to fully incorporate all of the ingredients.

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Adding SugarNext, add your white granulated sugar. Mix thoroughly, incorporating the sugar completely into the oils. Then, divide the mixture into three equal parts. This will mean you will be adding approximately 394 grams of the mixture to two empty bowls, leaving the remaining in your current mixing bowl.

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Adding Your Colorants

Pumpkin-Sugar-Scrub-Recipe-Pumpkin-ColorantNow, let’s add some fun to the scrub! Colors! Remember those colorants we prepared earlier, this is when you will need them. Go ahead and get them. In your first bowl, add the titanium dioxide oil dispersible, this will be your white layer. Mix well to fully incorporate the powder. Now, to bowl two, add the pumpkin pie spice blend paste to your sugar mixture. Stir the paste into the sugar scrub until it is fully dispersed. Finally, to bowl the last powder add the orange peel powder blend, along with two drops of the neon orange Fun Soap Colorant. Again, mix well to incorporate the colorant evenly.

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe Adding the Scrub to Your Jars

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe LayeringFor the next portion of the pumpkin scrub recipe, you will need to allow the mixtures to come to room temperature. Also, be sure you do not see any oil sitting at the top of the product before moving to this step. Once you are ready, we will begin adding the sugar scrub to the jars. You will need seven four-ounce jars clear PET jars. Also, have seven 58/400 white dome lids ready.

We began layering our scrubs with the brown, pumpkin layer. However, you can begin with whatever color you choose. Another option would be to create more layers. While we only created three layers, you can make as many layers as you wish. So, here is how we created our layered scrub. You will begin by filling each of the seven jars 1/3 of the way full with the brown portion of the sugar scrub. Now, fill another 1/3 of the jar with the white portion of the scrub. Finally, top the jar off with the orange portion of the scrub. Once your jars are filled, whip away any residue on the jars. Then, place the white dome lids on top.
