Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Preparing Your Work Space and Equipment

Before you begin creating this herbal bath bomb recipe you may want to prepare your workspace and clean your supplies. First, you will want to clean and sanitize your workspace. Whether you are going to working on a table or countertop, you need to make sure that you have enough room to craft. So, you will need to make sure that you gather all the equipment and ingredients listed for this recipe. Then, you need to collect and clean all of your equipment for this cosmetic recipe.

Next, you will want to make sure that you have already added the witch hazel to your spray bottle. Additionally, we would suggest that you would be wearing protective clothing, rubber gloves, and a hair net for this recipe. Now, you are ready to begin creating this lovely bath bomb recipe!

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Mixing Your Dry IngredientsDandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Mixing Your Dry Ingredients

First, you are going to need to combine many of your dry ingredients in on of your medium mixing bowls. So, you will need to add 300 grams of the Citric Acid, 600 grams of the Baking Soda, and 10 grams of the Bentonite Clay Powder to this mixing bowl. You will want to mix these powders together and make sure to break up any clumps in the mixture. Although you need to mix well, there will be other ingredients that you will need to mix in, too. So, you can just focus on breaking up all the clumps for now. Also, this process is easier while using a gloved hand.

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Dandelion Herbs

Second, we are going to add the cosmetic herbs into our dry mixture. So, take the same medium mixing bowl with your dry ingredients to add these cosmetic herbs

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Dandelion Leaf Cut and SiftedDandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Dandelion Leaf Cut and Sifted

First, you will need to add the whole dandelion herb into your cosmetic recipe. So, add in 6 grams of the Dandelion Leaf Cut and Sifted. Once this herb has been added to your recipe you can mix it thoroughly into your cosmetic bath bomb recipe. Now that this herb is in your recipe, you are ready to add the next cosmetic ingredient.

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Dandelion Root PowderDandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Dandelion Root Powder

Second, you will need to add the wholesale herb powder to your cosmetic recipe. You will need to add in 10 grams of the Dandelion Root Powder. Again, use a gloved hand to start to make sure that both wholesale cosmetic herbs are mixed well with the other dry ingredients. Once these herbs are mixed in fairly well, you can move on to adding the next ingredient.

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding in the Mica PowdersDandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding in the Mica Powders

Next, we are going to add in a bit of shimmer and shine to your bath and body recipe. You will need the dry ingredients that you just mixed for this step. Now, you are going to need to add 2 grams of the 24 K Gold Mica Pigment and 2 grams of the Diamond Dust Mica Pigment to your medium mixing bowl. Now, incorporate this last dry ingredient into the mixture. You will need to mix well to ensure that all the ingredients added up to this point are fully incorporated. Once you are confident in your mixture, you can move on to the next step.

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the ColorantDandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Adding the Colorant

Now, you are ready to add the yellow soap colorant to your cosmetic recipe. So, take your mixture of dry ingredients and add 9 grams of the Yellow Oxide FUN Soap Colorant. After, you will need to mix this color in well. You will want to use a gloved hand to fully incorporate the yellow soap colorant into the dry ingredients. Once there are no speckles of color and it has been evenly incorporated, you can set this bowl aside for now.

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Preparing the Wet Ingredients

You can either measure your wet ingredients directly into your bowl of dry ingredients or weigh them in a separate mixing bowl. If you add them directly to the dry ingredients, then you may want to work a bit faster. But, it should be okay to choose either method. Either way, you will need to weight out 18 grams of the Meadowfoam Seed Oil and 18 grams of the Tiare Flowers Fragrance Oil into one of these two bowls.

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Combining the Ingredients

After, you will need to fully incorporate the fragrance oil and cosmetic oil into your mixture of dry ingredients. If you already have your ingredients in the same bowl, then simply use a gloved hand to fully incorporate all of these ingredients. Of course, anyone that has weighed out their wet ingredients in a separate bowl will need to combine the ingredients before mixing. Just make sure that your finished mixture looks like it has all the ingredients evenly distributed, as this will be the last time that you need to mix.

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Spraying the Mix with Witch HazelDandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Spraying the Mix with Witch Hazel

Now, we are going to begin filling the bath bomb molds. So, grab the bowl of your mixture and spray it all with witch hazel. You will want to use enough to reach a crumbly dough consistency. You will want to mix with your hands as you spray the bath bomb dough. However, you need to make sure that you don’t use too much witch hazel. If you use so much that your dough begins to fizz, then you have activated the ingredients and this portion of the dough may not work right. So, be slowly and pay attention. Once you reach the right consistency, you are ready to move on to the next step.

Dandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Finishing the Bath BombsDandelion Bath Bomb Recipe: Finishing the Bath Bombs

Finally, you are ready to work on the last few steps. Once your mixed dough is ready to use, you can begin filling up your bath bomb molds. After you have two bath bomb mold halves filled, you can fit them together. First, spray each side of the bath bomb lightly with the witch hazel. Then, you can push the two halves together until the mold snaps shut. Once your first bath bomb is done, you will need to repeat these steps with the rest of your bath bomb dough. This should leave you with about six total bath bombs. Now, you just have to wait for the bath bomb to set up and they will be ready to use! You will know that you bath bomb has set up as it will harden, but the time that it takes can vary depending on humidity levels and climate. Once the bath bombs are set up you can pop them out of the mold and they will be ready to use. So, get ready for some fizzy fun and herbal skin care!
