My customers and I have fallen in love with this scent and I can’t seem to keep it in stock!”

What Does Country Garden Fragrance Oil Smell Like?

This fresh, romantic, floral fragrance oil by Natures Garden is fantastic during the whole year! This fragrance begins with top notes of fresh green clover, and ivy with middle notes of romantic snapdragon, rose petals, and carnations; ending with base notes of white musk and fig leaves.  An NG Original Fragrance!

Top Notes:  fresh clover, ivy
Mid Notes: snapdragon, rose petals, carnations
Base Notes: white musk, fig leaves

How Do Our Customers Use Country Garden Fragrance Oil?

At home soap makers can use a maximum 4.5% in melt and pour soap, bath oils, and cold process soap. We suggestion coloring your soap using Ultramarine Violet FUN Soap Colorant in the amount to achieve your desired shade. Please remember, never use candle dye in any homemade bath and body products since they can stain your skin.  Our cold process soap testing results have shown that this floral aroma has a perfect pour, no ricing, no acceleration, no separation, and discolors to a beige.  This is super strong that is really rich.  Since our Country Garden Fragrance Oil will discolor to a beige, it could be partially due to a 0.9% vanillin content.  The discoloration may be prevented by adding vanilla white color stabilizer. Although, there are over 40 ingredients used in the fragrance oil manufacturing process that may contribute to discoloration of products.  You will want to be sure to test all bath and body products.  Lotions and perfumes can be created using a maximum of 4.5%. This fragrance oil performs perfectly in perfumes and creams.  Cleaning products can include a maximum of 4.5% of this floral scent.

Handmade candles can be created using a maximum of 10% Country Garden Fragrance Oil.  This spring fragrance performs perfectly in Natures Garden’s WOW Wax and Joy Wax, it is also very strong in soy wax.  When coloring your candle or tarts we suggest using liquid candle dye or color blocks. Never use crayons.  It is recommended that you use 3 drops of Spectrum Liquid Candle Dye in blue plus 2 drops of purple dye per 4 pounds of wax or shred a small amount of a blue and purple color block into your melted wax.

Homemade room scenting projects can utilize Country Garden Fragrance Oil as well. Incense recipes and potpourri recipes can be made to scent a room with a maximum usage rate of 50%.  Also, this aroma is an extremely strong scent in homemade aroma beads.

Country Garden scent can be incorporated into a variety of homemade craft recipes, including candles, bath and body goods, cleaners, and room scents.  The sky is truly the limit with this floral scent!

sinus relief bath bombOh, how the weather outside is frightful….

If the winter time blues has got you down, and you are not feeling like yourself, we have a little recipe we would like to share with you that will not only help to clear your sinuses, but will also put that little pep in your step that you have been missing.

Our recipe is taking the homemade crafting industry by storm.  It has been shared on Pinterest over 1000 times, and after trying these bath bombs out, you will completely understand why.

Bath Bombs are super easy and fun to make.  They can be made into any shape using plastic fillable ornaments, molds, or left in loose form.  To read all about bath bombs, and how to use them, click on this link.

A bath bomb is a straightforward chemical reaction between an acid and a base.  Within the realm of bath bombs, the citric acid is the acid, and the baking soda or sodium bicarbonate is the base.  Logically speaking, bath bombs can be made with these two ingredients and a very small amount of liquid (witch hazel) to help them keep their shape.

However, bath bombs are the perfect luxurious product to introduce skin loving oils and benefits to your products.  The addition of various ingredients like castor oil and olive oil will allow for moisturizing aspects.  Then, with the addition of herbs like peppermint and spearmint, you can allow your bath bombs to have a refreshing and revitalizing effect.

If you are looking for a wonderfully refreshing bath bomb recipe that is sharing like wild fire on social media, click here.  Natures Garden’s Sinus Relief Bath Bomb Recipe is one in a million, so get your crafting area prepped these homemade bath bombs are exactly what you need!

Coloring Cold Process Soaps with Herbs

This entry was posted in all natural, bath and body, cold process soap colorant, herbal oil infusion, herbal tea, herbs, natural colorants, Natures Garden and tagged , , , , , , , , , , on by .

Adding herbs to your soap not only provides great skin loving benefits, but also can naturally color your soaps as well.

If you are looking for a way to naturally color your cold process soaps, herbs may be your answer.  The addition of herbs to your soaping recipes not only can provide your skin with different skin loving benefits, but can also give your soaps beautiful color as well.

There are basically three ways to incorporate herbs into your soaping recipe they are:

1.  As is.  If the herb you are adding is in a powder or small leaf/seed form, they can be added when your soap batter has reached trace.
2. Herbs in tea form.  This is done by steeping the herbs in water to create a tea, and then this “tea” is used as the water portion of your soap recipe.
3.  Oil infusion.  If you are selecting to infuse your herbs this way, you must make your herb oil infusion several weeks before using it in a soaping recipe.  The selected herbs are placed into one of your oils (that will be used in your soap recipe) and allowed to set for 4-6 weeks.  Then, strain the herbs out and use the oil in your soap recipe.  Please Note:  This process can also be done by adding the herbs to the melting pot as you wait for your soaping oils to melt.

The choice of how you would like to infuse your herbs is up to you and testing.  It is important to keep in mind what the end goal of adding the herb is before choosing your herbal addition method.  The answers as to why some people prefer different methods over others various based on easiness, time frame, best color production, or even strongest herbal infusion.  However, if you are simply looking to add herbs to your soap recipe for natural color, the herbs are added to your soap batter at trace.

It is also important that you test for discoloration in a soap recipe before adding an herb for colorant.  Natures Garden has a list of every fragrance oil they carry and how it preformed in cold process soap.  It is on their website under each fragrance oil’s page in the Fragrance Tested area, or for a complete list click Fragrances Tested in CP Soap Results.  You want to be prepared when adding herbs to soaping recipes, so knowing a little about how the fragrance oil reacts will only prepare you more for what to expect, especially when it comes to colorants!

Massage Candle Recipe

This entry was posted in body safe fragrance oils, cosmetic supplies, Fragrance Oils, massage candle, massage candle recipe, Natures Garden and tagged , , , , , , , , , on by .

josh1The Natures Garden facility is buzzing with excitement as the staff is anxiously awaiting for their turn in the Natures Garden staff challenge.  We are currently in week 7 and it is looking as if there is no end to the creativity.  For this staff challenge, each staff member was asked to create their very own recipe using their favorite Natures Garden fragrance oil.  This week the spotlight is on Josh, and his creation was a fabulous massage candle scented in his favorite fragrance oil NG Cashmere & Silk Type.

Josh has been with Natures Garden for many years.  He is our “go to guy” in the warehouse.  Josh is a gem to work with, and always offers a helping hand even when his own workload is full.  Although Josh can be quiet, he is generally jolly and is always in a good mood. A little known fact about Josh is that he is “besties” with Zack (last week’s beer candle contestant.)  They have been best friends ever since the seventh grade.

Josh is a single dad of two beautiful children; one little girl and one little boy.  When it comes to his spare time, Josh enjoys spending time with his kids.  For Josh, family comes first!  Josh’s daughter is very creative, so together they enjoy coloring and making art crafts such as bouncy balls and sand art kits.  When it comes to his son, active things are what they do together.  They like to play sports- baseball, football, ect, basically if it involves a ball they are playing it.massage-candle1

When Josh is able to sneak in some personal time, he enjoys being outdoors.  Josh is a big contender and is currently involved in a Corn Hole League.  He also loves cruising in his jeep with the top off, wind in his hair.  Josh especially loves the long days and heat of summer.  Josh is most happy when riding 4 wheelers, and his dream day spent outside ends with a huge bonfire surrounded by friends and family.

When asked what inspired Josh to want to make a massage candle, he responded, “When I smell NG Cashmere & Silk Type Fragrance Oil, I think of the ladies.  So, since I am single, who wants a massage first?”

To make your very own massage candle, please check out Natures Garden’s Massage Candle Recipe available in Natures Garden’s Free Recipes and Classes area.
