First, you are going to be creating the white layer for your soaps. So, weigh out 285 grams of the Soya Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base and melt it. Make sure to use thirty second intervals in the microwave. Once your soap is liquid, you can add in 12 grams of the Independence Fragrance Oil. Stir the mixture well to incorporate the scent fully into the soap base.

Independence Day Soap Recipe: Pouring the White Layer

Next, you are going to pour the scented soap into your soap mold. Once all of this mixture has been added to your square loaf mold, you will need to release any trapped air bubbles. So, take your bottle of rubbing alcohol and lightly spray the top of this layer. Make sure that you allow this layer to completely set up before moving on to the next step. Otherwise, you may pour your soap too soon and cause the color of your layers to mix.

Independence Day Soap Recipe: Total Amounts for Second Layer

285 grams Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap
12 grams Independent Fragrance Oil
3 drops Tomato Red FUN Soap Colorant

Once you are done, you will have both the red and blue colored salt to sprinkle on your soaps! Since we don’t have the topping on yet, you can just set both colors aside to use later.

So, weigh out 150 grams of Whipped Soap Base, 15 grams of Independent Fragrance Oil, and 15 grams of Vegetable Glycerin. Next, whip these ingredients together using a hand mixer. Once you reach a whipped cream consistency, then you can set this mixture aside momentarily.

Now, you are going to need to prepare the melt and pour soap for your whipped topping. Weigh out 150 grams of the Soya Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base in a separate bowl. Finally, you are ready to add your whipped topping to your soap loaf. First, lightly spray the top of your layered soap with rubbing alcohol. Then, you can begin to add your whipped soap topping to your soap. Make sure to move quickly enough that your soap doesn’t set up before it is added to the top. Once the top of your soap is covered, you are ready to decorate!

Lastly, you are ready to decorate the top of your soap. You will want to sprinkle both your red and blue Epsom salt sprinkles over the top of your soap. Also, add your embed starts and blue curls. We chose to add two blue curls on either side of each red star, but you can decorate them in a different way if you’d like.
