Caramel FragranceCaramel Fragrance Oil – Fragrance Spotlight

Caramel is often regarded as a staple for nearly every single delectable dessert. Whether it is drizzled over a cheesecake or gushing out of an oven fresh brownie, caramel never seems to disappoint a crowd. Heck, it has even been known to transform healthy foods into tasty treats that are worthy of the biggest sweet tooth. Not only can you sweeten the deal on a big green apple, but caramel has a scent just as delicious as its taste. The Caramel Fragrance Oil by Natures Garden is so true to this decadent aroma, that you might just think you opened a fresh bottle of homemade caramel syrup.

What Does Caramel Fragrance Oil Smell Like?

Natures Garden’s Caramel Fragrance Oil is a buttery, toffee caramel aroma.  Great to use by itself or to mix for creative fragrance blends.

How Do Our Customers Use Caramel Fragrance Oil?

Whether you’re a seasoned soap maker or one of the new soapers on the block, our Caramel Fragrance Oil is a great fragrance to use for your soap making recipe. This candy scent can be added to bath oils, soaps, and bath gels at a maximum recommendation of 5%. The Natures Garden cold process soap testing results have shown that our caramel fragrance oil works well in homemade soaps. Not only did this fragrance produce a perfect pour, but there wasn’t any ricing, acceleration, or separation. A bar using this scent has the potential to discolor to a beige and will maintain a light scent retention. However, a lighter bar is possible for those who desire one. Since the vanillin content is 2.6%, vanilla white stabilizer can be used to achieve a lighter bar. Further, we recommend using brown soap colorant and orange soap colorant in the amount that satisfies you for this fragrance. Never use candle dye in any body products.

Homemade scenters may find our Caramel Fragrance Oil to be a perfect addition to any candle, perfume, or cleaner. First, candle makers may add this fragrance to either vegetable waxes or paraffin wax at a maximum usage of 10%.  This sugary scent performs perfectly in joy wax, wow wax, and soy wax. Also, it is nice and strong in both aroma beads and soy wax. We suggest using 2 drops brown liquid candle dye and 1 drop orange liquid candle dye per four pounds of wax or to shred a small amount of a brown color block and an orange color block into your melted wax. Remember, crayons aren’t sufficient substitutes for colorants and will clog your wick. Second, those making lotions, perfumes or cleaning products can use up to 5% of this fragrance oil.  Also, this fragrance will perform perfectly in perfumes. Lastly, do-it-yourself room scenters can use this scent at a 50% usage rate for potpourri, reed diffusers, or incense.

So what are you waiting for? Natures Garden’s Caramel Fragrance Oil is a delectable scent that not only works well in soaps, candles, and a multitude of other delightful homemade products, but it smells great too!

Carnation FragranceCarnation Fragrance Oil– Fragrance Oil Spotlight

Carnations have been admired throughout time by many individuals. In ancient Rome and Greece these elegant flowers were cultivated for their aesthetic and aromatic qualities. Christianity considers the first carnation to have bloomed from Mary’s tears when Jesus carried his cross. Signifying that carnations are worthy to symbolize love. The 25th president of the United States, William McKinley, would wear a carnation on his lapel for good luck. Today, carnations are included in many anniversary bouquets as symbols of love and long lasting commitment. Regardless of the significance, these delicate flowers have continued to entice individuals for centuries due to their long-lasting freshness, appearance, and delicate fragrance. Why not capture the appeal of this flower with Natures Garden’s carnation fragrance oil.

What Does Carnation Fragrance Oil Smell Like?

This fragrance oil by Natures Garden is a crisp, clean aroma of freshly picked carnation flowers with bottom notes of fresh greenery. Wonderful fresh floral fragrance to add to your line!

How Do Our Customers Use Carnation Fragrance Oil?

There are a wide variety of different applications for a Nature’s Garden fragrance oil. Whether you’re a well versed crafter or just starting out you have the potential to create worthwhile products with fantastic scents. These products can include homemade soap, candles, lotions, perfumes, room scents and cleansers.

For candle making this fragrance can be used at a maximum of 10% in vegetable waxes and paraffin wax. The performance in joy wax and wow wax is perfect. Also, this fragrance performs nice and strong in soy wax. We advise customers to either use two drops of red liquid candle dye per four pounds of wax or shred a small amount of a red color block into your melted wax. Although color blocks may seem similar to crayons, you should never use crayons to color your candles as they will clog your wick.

Homemade bath and body products can be created using 5% Carnation Fragrance Oil. Soap makers can use the Carnation Fragrance Oil at a maximum of 5% in cold process, hot process, and melt and pour soaps. Our cold process soap testing results for this fragrance have shown no ricing, no separation, no discoloration, and good scent retention. There is slight acceleration for this fragrance, but this is typical for floral scents. It is recommended to soap at cooler temperatures and stick blend to counteract the issues caused by acceleration. We at Natures Garden suggest the use of Pink soap colorant in the amount that satisfies you for various bath and body products. Just remember to never use candle dye in any bath and body products.

Both body scents and room scents can be created using the carnation fragrance oil at a maximum usage of 5%. Potpourri and incense can be created using a maximum of 50%. Further, this fragrance performs nice and strong in aroma beads. Lotions and perfumes can be used at a maximum of 5%. Perfumes containing Carnation Fragrance Oil perform well. Cleaning products can use this fragrance oil at a maximum of 5%.

Beautiful Handmade Glycerin Soaps

fragrance oilsWhat’s your name & Your Company Name: Teresa (Kathy) Rojas, Key West by Palms Soaps

I was raised in tropical Key West, Florida amongst many tropical fruits and beautiful colors and my soaps reflect these scents and colors.

Having always loved glycerin soaps and finding them getting horribly expensive I started creating them for myself.  I learned how to make handmade glycerin soap by researching online, joining groups and trial and error.  After my friends, family and co-workers kept asking me what I was wearing (it was my soap) or where did I get the beautiful soap in my bathroom and could I make some for them I started the process of correct labeling and packaging and started my business Key West by Palms Soaps.  Key West for where I was raised and Palms after our dog that we had recently lost to old age.

My soaps are created in small batches and with only the highest quality ingredients.  I produce something for everyone; men, women and children.  Key West by Palms Soaps also offers wedding/shower favors and wholesale orders.  Throughout each year we donate our product to many charitable contributions.

During the winter months you will find us all over South Florida at vendor events where customers can see and smell what we have to offer.

Our priorities are to provide beautiful, wonderfully smelling soaps that our clientele will be elated that they purchased from Key West by Palms Soaps.

Many of our bars are one of a kind in that once the loaf is sold we do not recreate the same thing over and over again.  Only a few of our bars are recreated and that is because of demand.  Custom requests are honored at no additional charge and are always welcomed.

We only purchase our fragrance oils from Nature’s Garden and would not shop anywhere else because of their quality and prices.

I only use Natures Garden fragrance oils – attaching a photo of your Juicy Couture Type fragrance oil.

Relax and Rejuvenate the Soul

This entry was posted in bath and body, bath products, bath salts, body spray, cosmetic ingredients, creative, Fragrance Oils, homemade, Natures Garden and tagged , , , , , , , , , , , on by .

fragrance oilsWhat’s your name & Your Company Name:  Jennifer – Harmony Designs & Soaps

My slogan is: Relax & Rejuvenate the Soul.

I absolutely love creating.  It makes me feel such an accomplishment seeing the before and after. I love all the fragrance oils and love experimenting with them. Nature inspired my shop and my product design. A lot of my inspiration comes from nature. I am also a nature photographer and so much enjoy being outside and capturing nature’s beauty.

I lost my Dad to cancer in 2007 and he inspired me to do what I love to do. I know he would be very proud of me today.

I carry a variety of products in my Etsy shop, lip balms, body sprays, kanzashi hair flowers and bath salts just to name a few. I am always inspired to try new things. Sometimes they work out sometimes they don’t, I guess that’s called trial and error. Natures Garden carries so many products to help give you a kick start to create.

I came up with the name Harmony Designs because I thought about its meaning and it fit my shop perfectly.

Meaning: internal calm : balance, tranquility. I love that my shop name relays a tranquil feeling. The whole idea behind starting my shop was that I wanted to help people relax and have that “me” time that we all crave. We all have such busy lives and need that little bit of peace and quiet after a long day at work. My bath salts are wonderful for that reason. I use all my products myself and wouldn’t put anything out there that I didn’t wholeheartedly believe in. I love when people love my products. It makes me feel what I do is successful. Without my wonderful customers my shop wouldn’t exist.

Even when I was little I loved creating, painting and whatever else my little creative mind could get a hold on. I am pretty much a Jane of all trades. I do wear a lot of hats but wouldn’t want it any other way.  I love making favors for Weddings! I love being able to share in someones special moment. Just a side note my wedding is coming up in September and I am so excited! I know how it feels to want something special for your wedding so I take a lot of pride in making wedding favors.

Also when I was little I remember the lovely aromas coming from the kitchen when my parents were baking. I think that is one of the reasons I love my soy tart melts so much. I love all the dessert fragrances and it brings back those wonderful memories of my Dad making peach cobbler or my Mom baking. I love that my soy tart melts last and fill the house with so many wonderful Natures Garden Fragrances!

Using 200 Varieties of NG Fragrances

fragrance oils1.     What’s your name & Your Company Name:  Taleda Giallanza – Bliss Body & Bath ~ Scentsational Sundries for Mind Body & Spirit

2.      Why did you decide to go into business?  What was your motivation?  How long have you been in business?  I’ve been making body products for my massage business for about 10yrs, starting with body butters, adding salt scrubs, sugar scrubs, black sea mud for detox wraps and sea algae toning wraps. Making the products I used on my clients was inevitable; I didn’t like the feel of name brand creams/butters/oils or the lengthy list of ingredients including a lot of preservatives and chemicals.  Also, I found it embarrassing to ask my clients if they’d care to wipe down before they dressed and left; that was a waste of my money and their time. So I began teaching myself the fun but precise art of crafting homemade body products for use on my massage patrons. My aromatic butters, the vast variety thereof and knowing they wouldn’t have to wipe off greasy oily goo from the bodies or risk staining their clothes was the seal on the deal. Their appreciation of my efforts encouraged me; when I fell into making many of my products Organic & Vegan word spread and I found more and more appointments booked via referrals. Their obvious approval of my Path took a turn when they began asking “Can you make me a jar of this butter? How much would you charge for a big jar of this scrub? I simply love your scentsational sundries!” And so, here I am using their words as part of my business name byline.

3.      What products do you make and sell?  Well, the question really is: What DON’T I make and sell!!  I don’t do CP or any other type of soap except M&P. I want too but my love affair with M&P hasn’t run its course and quite frankly I simply don’t have any room left for supplies!  Let’s see we’ll start with the bath/shower then move to the body starting with the head: all types of M&P soap, bath bombs, bath bomb melts, shower fizzers, bubble bath, bath oil, bath milks, 2 types of hair masques, for the face: 4 face cleansers, 4 toners, 4 serums, 3 day creams, 3 night creams, 4 different bases for about 200 different (so far) body butters, butter salt scrubs, butter sugar scrubs, body mud masques, body sea algae masques, yogurt body puddings, super skin conditioners with a lanolin base, heavy duty foot balms, cracked foot creams, foot baths/soaks, body splashes or spritzers, men’s shaving soap mugs, men’s face splash, Mother Earth Face Powders (most of the powders come from Nature’s Garden), Cleo Milk Powders, lip gloss flavored, non-flavored, Aromatherapy Oils, Feng Shui Oils and another type but I’m not telling!  I’m learning how to make bronzers as Spring is here and Summer is coming!  Did I leave anything out? LOL … having a sense of humor is vital in our business otherwise what’s the point?

4.      What are your business goals?  To rely on my body product business as my only source of income which means being successful enough that I may retire from Massage Therapy.

5.      What are some products you use from Natures Garden; what are your favorite products from Natures Garden?  Well, I counted all the Fragrance Oils and Essential Oils I have, (I try to keep a current list), and the last date was March 6th, 2013 ending total of 260. I’d safely say that 200 of them came from Nature’s Garden, about 30 of them I blended NG’s FOs to create my own blends and the rest from another supplier that I of course blended up with NGs FOs to make even more aromas. You simply can’t have too many, in my humble opinion anyway.  Nearly all the A-Z powders I have (Botanical, Clays, Foods, Fruits, Herbs, Muds) came from Nature’s Garden.  I LOVE the Yogurt Base – I call it Pudding – because to me when I whip mine up, that’s exactly what it looks like and feels like, and my clients agree.  The only thing that hasn’t worked out for me is when I fall in love with one of your FOs and then you discontinue it – I am left wondering what the heck to do!

Your Website: I don’t have a website per say at the moment I do own my domain name thru GoDaddy.  Of course I’m Trademarked. I mainly sell thru my massage spa room, thru Etsy and thru word of mouth that trickles around Facebook.  I just discovered Storenvy and I am selling there; I started a Blog thru Google and WordPress and my massage website also is home to my products. I am really all over the place, like FOs, you simply can’t be in too many places! Sadly due to time, I haven’t developed any place I am selling to its full potential; that also is a goal of mine.

fragrance oils1.  What’s your name & Your Company Name:   Jessica Perez, Sierra Rose Candle Company

2.   Why did you decide to go into business?  What was your motivation?  How long have you been in business?  This business actually started out as a hobby.  I was tired of going to the store and buying candles only to get home and be extremely disappointed in the quality.  Either they weren’t strong enough or they just weren’t very pretty to look at.  Then one day it hit me, try making your own.  After much practice I finally perfected my formula and I had all sorts of friends buying from me.  So I eventually turned it into a small business.  Sierra Rose Candle Company has been in business since September 2010.

3.  What products do you make and sell?  We sell candles, fragrance warmers and fragrance melts, foaming hand soaps, and body products.

4.  What are your business goals?  My business goals are to eventually open my own store here in San Antonio, Texas.

5.  What are some products you use from Natures Garden; what are your favorite products from Natures Garden?  100% of our ingredients come from Natures Garden except for the containers we sell them in.  We do not buy any of our ingredients from anyone or anywhere else.
