Magic Potion Fragrance OilMagic Potion Fragrance Oil – Fragrance Oil Spotlight

Magic Potion Fragrance Oil is a fruity scent by Natures Garden. This aroma is a fruit blend that creates a delicious and sweet concoction that is perfect for a variety of products. This fragrance oil is quite possibly one of the most unique grapefruit scents I have ever used. My niece and I made a gift basket for her best friend’s birthday. Of course we scented everything, her friend absolutely loved it. Personally, my favorite application for this one, the homemade bath fizzies.  We created layered bath bombs using Nature’s Garden ultramarine violet and neon orange FUN Soap Colorants. They were absolutely adorable! However, this citrus aroma also smells wonderful in the shea butter melt and pour soap base. We also added lotion from scratch and a body spray, using odor eliminator.

homemade sugar cube scrubSugar Cube Scrubs Recipe

In this blog, you will learn how to make your very own sugar cube scrubs.  And, to do this is really very easy; taking only a few simple ingredients.

You can cater your sugar cube scrubs with various skin loving oils.  For this recipe, we will be using Apricot Kernel Oil–  a luxurious, conditioning oil that absorbs very nicely into your skin.  Grapeseed Oil– a natural oil that is filled with antioxidants (great for anti-aging products) and an oil that is also moisturizing.  Then, finally Sesame Seed Oil– another conditioning oil with the benefits of both antioxidants and vitamins.  To view the complete list of oils that can be used and their benefits, please click on this link

Besides the sugar which works to exfoliate, the other solid in this recipe is soap.  Cocoa Butter melt and pour soap; the one that was used in this recipe, provides a very nice lather.  To see the full list of the variety of melt and pour soap that could be used, please click on this link.

Mold wise, the 24 brownie bites silicone mold was used to make 12 sugar cubes.  But, any mold, even an ice tray will work for this recipe.  However, please note:  using a different mold will vary your total number of sugar cubes output.

Now, here is the recipe, steps, and photos of how to make homemade sugar cube scrubs.

Spatula
Mixing Bowl

2 grams Vanilla Powder

sinus relief bath bombOh, how the weather outside is frightful….

If the winter time blues has got you down, and you are not feeling like yourself, we have a little recipe we would like to share with you that will not only help to clear your sinuses, but will also put that little pep in your step that you have been missing.

Our recipe is taking the homemade crafting industry by storm.  It has been shared on Pinterest over 1000 times, and after trying these bath bombs out, you will completely understand why.

Bath Bombs are super easy and fun to make.  They can be made into any shape using plastic fillable ornaments, molds, or left in loose form.  To read all about bath bombs, and how to use them, click on this link.

A bath bomb is a straightforward chemical reaction between an acid and a base.  Within the realm of bath bombs, the citric acid is the acid, and the baking soda or sodium bicarbonate is the base.  Logically speaking, bath bombs can be made with these two ingredients and a very small amount of liquid (witch hazel) to help them keep their shape.

However, bath bombs are the perfect luxurious product to introduce skin loving oils and benefits to your products.  The addition of various ingredients like castor oil and olive oil will allow for moisturizing aspects.  Then, with the addition of herbs like peppermint and spearmint, you can allow your bath bombs to have a refreshing and revitalizing effect.
