This sugar cube recipe is not only super easy to make, but it also takes very little time, and absolutely smells delicious. With the pampering elements of exfoliation, skin loving oils, and gentle cleansing foam, these sugar scrubs are the perfect little bath time treat for yourself.
In all, this recipe will give you about 5 sugar cube clamshells (a total of 30 bath tub cubes), so technically you can stock yourself up well or treat your family and loved ones to a spectacular bath scrub.
To make the sour watermelon sugar cube scrub recipe, here are the supplies you will need. Many of the items can be purchased at Natures Garden.
For the gentle foaming cleanser, we will be using Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap.
To exfoliate the skin we will also be using some Poppy Seed in addition to the sugar.
Step 1: Once your work area is cleaned, lay out your 5 clamshell containers. You will want to be these in the area where you are going to be filling them. Then, put on your gloves.
Step 2: Next, in your mixing bowl weigh out 340 grams of sugar and 5 grams of poppy seed. Now, gently stir the ingredients together with your mixing spoon. When done, set this bowl aside.
Step 3: In your microwave safe bowl, weigh out 175 grams of diamond clear melt and pour soap. Melt the soap in the microwave using 30 second bursts until all of the soap is melted. Remember to stir the soap gently in between.
Step 4: When the soap is melted, add 10 drops of FUN Soap Colorant Neon Red and 11 drops of FUN Soap Colorant Tomato Red. Then, quickly add 18 grams of Sour Watermelon Candy scent. Use your spatula to stir the colorant and scent into the soap.
Step 5: Now to the soap, weigh out and add 50 grams of Sweet Almond Oil, 38 grams of Argan Oil, and 10 grams of Avocado Oil. Stir once again.
Step 6: Moving quickly, pour the sugar and poppy seed mixture in with the soap and oils. This time use your gloved hand to incorporate it all together.
Step 7: Finally, begin scooping the mixture into the containers. Use your fingers to work the sugar scrub into each clamshell opening. When all 6 cavities of the clamshell are filled, place more of the mixture on top and flatten it down. Repeat for the remaining 4 clamshells. Then, close the lids. Allow the sugar cubes to fully set up overnight.
