Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Prepare Your Strawberry EmbedsStrawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Prepare Your Strawberry Embeds

First, we will prepare our strawberry embeds.  For this recipe, we will need about 15-20 strawberries for the top of our strawberries and champagne CP soap recipe.  We will use the Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap when we prepare your strawberry embeds.  These strawberries will be red and used on top of our swirled strawberry and champagne soap.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Total Recipe Amounts for Your Strawberry Embeds

330 grams Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap
16 grams Strawberries and Champagne Type Fragrance Oil
5 drops Tomato Red FUN Soap Colorant
2 drops Neon Pink FUN Soap Colorant

First, weigh out 330 grams of your Natures Garden Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base.  Then, use your microwave oven to melt the soap.  You need to melt the soap in 30 second intervals until the base is in a liquid state.  Once your soap is melted, add 16 grams Strawberries and Champagne Type Fragrance Oil.  Stir to incorporate your Strawberry and Champagne Type Fragrance Oil.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Creating Your Strawberry EmbedsFinally, we will be adding the red color to the soap. So, to your melted soap base, add 5 drops of Natures Garden Tomato Red FUN Soap Colorant and 2 drops of your Neon Pink FUN Soap Colorant.  Then, once again, mix to incorporate the pink and red soap colorants.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Creating Your Strawberry EmbedsLastly, pour the red soap base into the strawberries mold.  Once the soap is in the mold, spray your red soap with rubbing alcohol.  Spraying your soap with rubbing alcohol will help remove any air bubbles that are on the surface of the soap.  Allow the embeds to setup before removing the strawberries from your mold.

Now, we will prepare the champagne bottle embeds for the top of your cold process soap.  This time the embeds will be colored a shimmery gold.  Once again, we will be using Natures Garden’s Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap.  So, go ahead and get your soap out and ready to cut.

First, let’s prepare gold colorant that we will be using when creating your champagne bottle embeds.  In a small bowl, add just pinch, less than a gram, of 24K gold mica pigment and use a spoon to mix it with 3-4 grams of vegetable glycerin.  Set this aside, it will be used to color your soap once it is melted.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Creating Your Champagne Bottle EmbedsNext, weigh out 180 grams of your Diamond Clear Melt and Pour Soap.  Once again, melt your soap base in 30-second intervals until the soap is completely melted.  Then, add 9 grams Strawberry and Champagne Fragrance Oil.  Mix to incorporate the fragrance oil.  Finally, add the colorant you prepared.  Again, mix to incorporate the gold color.  Lastly, pour the melted soap base into the mold, spray it with rubbing alcohol, and allow it to setup.  Remove your champagne bottle embeds from the molds.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Prepare Your Lye SolutionStrawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Prepare Your Lye Solution

First, we will be preparing our lye solution. In a mixing bowl weigh out 517 grams of your distilled water.  Then, slowly add 196 grams of lye (sodium hydroxide).  Next, slowly mix until all of your lye is dissolved.  Also, use caution and remember to always add your lye to the water.  You never want to add the water to the lye.  Once you have mixed your lye, you will need to wait for it to cool.  Let the temperature of your lye solution to drop to room temperature.

Next, we will prepare oil oils and butters.  Weigh out and melt 272 grams Sunflower Oil, 272 grams Mango Butter, 244 grams Fractionated Coconut Oil, 136 grams Apricot Kernel Oil, 136 grams Shea Butter, 136 grams Macadamia Nut Oil, 136 Sweet Almond Oil, and 27 grams Lanolin Oil USP Liquid.  Allow the temperature to drop to room temperature.

While you are waiting, prepare the cp soap colorants.  You will need 5 bowls.  You will later be adding about 225 grams of soap batter to each bowl.  Make sure the bowls are large enough to add this amount.  Below will outline the colorants we used for this recipe.  Once you have prepared each bowl, you can set them aside, for now.  We will come back to them in just a bit.

Bowl 1:  14 grams Neon Pink FUN Soap Colorant
4 grams Ultramarine Violet FUN Soap Colorant

Bowl 2:  10 grams Neon Pink FUN Soap Colorant
1 gram Ultramarine Violet FUN Soap Colorant

Bowl 3:  10 grams Tomato Red FUN Soap Colorant
5 grams Neon Pink FUN Soap Colorant

Bowl 4:  2 grams 24K Gold Mica Pigment (mixed with a little bit of your oils)

Bowl 5:  20 grams Titanium Dioxide Oil Dispersible (mixed with a little bit of your oils)

Next, we will be mixing everything together.  We will do this at room temperature.  When soaping at room temperature, your batter, in most cases, will thick much more slowly, than if you soap at a hotter temperature.  So, when you need more time to work, like when you are creating a swirled soap, we highly recommend soaping at room temperature.  Now, once both the lye solution and oils have come to room temperature, pour the lye solution into the bowl containing the oils.  Then, stick blend to emulsify them.  Finally, add 91 grams of Strawberry and Champagne Type Fragrance Oil.  Once again, stick blend your batter to incorporate the fragrance oil.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Separating Your Soap BatterStrawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Separating Your Soap Batter

Next, you will need to separate your soap batter.  We will be adding our soap batter to the bowls of colorants you prepared earlier. Most of the bowls need 225 grams of soap batter added.  However, the bowl containing the titanium dioxide should not have any batter added to it.  So, go ahead and add 225 grams of soap batter to each bowl, with the exception of the one containing titanium dioxide.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Recipe: Separating Your Soap BatterOnce you have separated the colored portion, you will notice you have quite a bit of soap remaining in your larger bowl.  This larger portion, will all be white.  So, add the titanium dioxide to this bowl.  Stick blend to fully mix your colorant. Then, stick blend each of your colored bowls, starting with the lightest color, working your way to the darkest color.

Finally, we will be adding just a little bit of our white soap batter to the soap loaf itself.  You will need to separate 225 grams of your white soap batter.  This is the portion that will be used for our swirl.  Set your remaining larger portion of white batter aside.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Creating Your SwirlStrawberries and Champagne CP Soap: Creating Your Swirl

Now, you will be creating your swirl.  We will be creating an in the pot swirl.  This type of swirl is done right in your bowl, then poured into the mold.  So, you will first need an empty bowl.  Then, you will need to pour the contents of each of your 225 grams bowls of soap batter into the empty bowl.  However, you want to pour each color in various areas of the bowl.  We will start with your first color, this can be whichever color you choose.  Look at your bowl as if it were a clock.  Pour a little bit of the batter at 12:00, some at 3:00, a bit more at 6:00, etc. Repeat this process with each color until you have used all of your colored batter.  When you finish, the soap in the bowl will look sort of like a color wheel.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap Creating Your SwirlLastly, you will need to swirl your soap batter.  This really is as simple as it sounds.  All you will need is a rubber spatula.  Place the spatula in your bowl and swirl in a clockwise manner.  Swirl until you are satisfied with your swirls.

Next, you will be pouring your soap batter into the mold.  You will need the silicone four loaf mold in front of you.  Pour your soap batter into each cavity of your mold.  Lightly tap the mold on the table to release any air bubbles.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap: Topping Your SoapStrawberries and Champagne CP Soap: Topping Your Soap

Finally, you will be topping your soap.  We will add a white fluffy soap on top along with strawberries and champagne bottles.  First, you will need the white soap batter you set aside earlier.  You want to wait until your white soap batter is at a thick frosting like consistency.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap: Topping Your Soap

Place the white soap batter on top of the swirled soap.  Use your spoon to create peaks in the white soap.  You will need to top each of your four loaves.  So, make sure you do not use more white soap than you need to.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap: Topping Your Soap
Then, you will be topping your soap with the embeds you created earlier.  So, place strawberries on each loaf.  You want to place about four or five strawberries on each loaf.  Then, place a champagne bottle right next to each strawberry.

Strawberries and Champagne CP Soap: Using Your SoapStrawberries and Champagne CP Soap: Using Your Soap

Allow your soaps to setup for 24-48 hours.  Then, remove the soap from the molds.  Slice each of your soap loaves using your mitre box and cutter.  Finally, you will want to allow your soap to cure before using it.
