Whipped-Cupcake-SoapMaking Whipped Cupcake Soap

It’s almost spring time, and we’ve all been in the spring mindset here at Nature’s Garden! So we’re bringing you another wonderful free recipe, perfect for the upcoming spring season! We will be making Whipped Cupcake Soap with our Daisy Type Fragrance! This is a unique soap that looks delicious enough to eat, but smells just like a lovely spring morning! This is the perfect twist for anyone who is more into the floral scents but loves yummy looking soaps!

Ingredients for the Base:

1370 grams of Cocoa Butter Melt and Pour Soap

69 grams of Daisy Type Fragrance Oil

Brown Oxide FUN Soap Colorant

Ingredients for the Whipped Top:

300 grams of Whipped Soap Base

300 grams of Cocoa Butter Melt and Pour Soap

34 grams of Vegetable Glycerin

31 grams of Daisy Type Fragrance Oil

10 drops of Neon Pink FUN Soap Colorant

Other Ingredients Needed:

Square Loaf Mold Market Mold

8 oz. Bullet Bottle

Fine Mist Sprayer

Decorating Sprinkles

Toothpicks

Scale

Mixer

Mixing Bowls

Mixing Spoons

Rubbing Alcohol

Pam or other cooking spray

Paper Towels

Directions:

022

You can start to make your soap base by measuring and weighing out 1370 grams of Cocoa Butter Melt and Pour Soap into a mixing bowl. Then spray just a little bit of cooking oil onto a paper towel and wipe it around the inside of your mold. This will make it easier for you to remove the soap in the end. Go ahead and begin to melt down your soap in the microwave, stirring occasionally.

025

When your soap is completely melted, add 69 grams of Daisy Type Fragrance Oil and mix it in thoroughly.

027

Using a toothpick, carefully add just a little bit of the Brown Oxide colorant to your soap, just enough for it to reach a cream color. Mix thoroughly.

030

Once your soap is cream colored and thoroughly mixed, go ahead and carefully pour your soap into your mold. Pour it into the middle of the mold, this will allow the soap to spread more evenly throughout the entire mold. However, make sure your soap is not too hot! If it is too hot, it can warp and ruin your mold!

031

Once you have finished pouring, make sure to spray your soap with rubbing alcohol! The alcohol will work to get rid of any air bubbles that may form. Leave your soap to sit until it has cooled down and hardened.

067

After the soap has hardened, you can weigh out 300 grams of your Whipped Soap Base, and 300 grams of Cocoa Butter Melt and Pour in a separate bowl.

078

Then, take the bowl with the whipped soap and add 34 grams of Vegetable Glycerin, 31 grams of your fragrance oil, and 10 drops of Neon Pink FUN Soap Colorant. Using a hand mixer, mix this all thoroughly together until it becomes very fluffy. Putting the fragrance and glycerin in at this point will make it easier once you are ready to add the melt and pour soap.

083

Then go ahead and melt down your melt and pour soap. Once it is fully melted, add it to the bowl with the whipped base. You will need to move very fast at this point as this sets up extremely fast.

091

Again, using a hand mixer, mix it all together thoroughly and then work fast to pour it onto the top of your soap. Once you have it all on top of your soap, go ahead and sprinkle as many sprinkles as you want across the top.

104

After you have let your soap completely set up and harden, your new Whipped Cupcake Soap is ready to be removed from the mold and cut!  Once cut, it is ready for you to use and enjoy! This deliciously feminine soap is one that all of your friends and family are sure to love! Make sure to check out all the rest of our free recipes and classes! How to Make Foaming Sugar Scrub

foaming sugar scrubFoaming Sugar Scrub Recipe

Natures Garden recently started carrying a new product; whipped soap base.  Needless to say, everyone has been super busy testing away with this new and fun ingredient.  We have created several foaming recipes using this new base, and every single one has been a success.  This new base is everything that we had hoped for and more.

When it came to the category of exfoliation with the whipped soap base, we of course thought of granulated white sugar first.  We wanted to make a foaming sugar scrub that would leave your skin silky smooth.  The gentle exfoliation that sugar would provide was perfect.  The rich creamy lather that the whipped base provides was also a sure fire winner too.  Our goal was that with a little work in creating this foaming sugar scrub recipe, we would be able to provide a great finished product that gently exfoliates and leaves your skin feeling moisturized and velvety smooth.

Here is how to make your very own scented foaming sugar scrub!

Ingredients & Equipment You’ll Need:
Whipped Soap Base
Any Body Safe Fragrance Oil (We selected Yeah for Yummy Fragrance Oil)
Any Fun Soap Colorant (Coloring is optional, but we felt coloring our foaming sugar scrub added an extra element of fun to the mix!)
Sugar
Scale
Bowl
Spoon
Spatula
Hand Held Mixer
Deep Mixing Bowl

Total Recipe Weights
454 grams of Whipped Soap Base
456 grams of Sugar
46 grams Yeah for YUMMY Fragrance Oil
2 drops Fun Soap Colorant -Tomato Red

The Steps

Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.

Step 1:  Using a scale, weigh out your whipped soap base and place into a bowl.  Set aside.

Step 2:  In a separate bowl, weigh out your sugar. Then, add 46 grams of fragrance oil and 2 drops Fun Soap Colorant Tomato Red.  Using your spatula, fold the fragrance oil and soap colorant into the sugar until all of the fragrance oil and colorant has been incorporated into the sugar.  Set aside.

Step 3:
Next, using your hand held mixer, start to whip the whipped soap base.  You will notice the batter will start to appear like whipped frosting;  when you have reached this point, turn off the mixer and add the sugar mixture to the whipped soap base.

Step 4:  Once again with the spatula, begin to fold the sugar into the whipped soap base.  You want to thoroughly mix this to incorporate it well.

Step 5:
Then, turn the mixer on and whip again.  Using your spatula, clean the sides of the bowl to ensure all of the mixture has colorant showing in it.  Continue to mix.

Step 6: When the mixture again looks like whipped frosting stop beating.  Set the bowl aside and allow it to set up for at least 5 minutes.

Step 7: Finally, using a spoon scoop the foaming bath scrub into your 4 oz clear PET jars and lid.

Your foaming sugar scrub is now ready to use!  Enjoy!

You will totally love how great your skin feels after using this foaming sugar scrub recipe.  Not only is this recipe super easy to make, but it takes very little time, and is a great gift to give loved ones this holiday season.  You can scent the foaming sugar scrub in any one of Natures Garden’s fragrance oils that are body safe.  Also, feel free to add the extra element of cuteness by sprinkling your foaming sugar scrub with decorative sprinkles, or layering different colors of the foaming sugar scrub in your jars.  With this recipe, where the fun stops is up to you!

Whipped Soap Base

This entry was posted in bath and body, bath products, foaming, Fragrance Oils, Natures Garden, Soap making supplies, whipped soap base' and tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , on by .

whipped soap baseThe wait is finally over; Natures Garden received a new product last week that we know you are just going to love:  Whipped Soap Base.  This product will have your creative juices flowing with all of the fun possibilities you can produce.  The bright white whipped soap base is quite an amazing product and has a shelf life of 1 year.  The base alone has a rich, foaming lather with bubbles great and small. Who knew washing could be so much fun!

The whipped soap base is a great by itself, but it is even better when it is scented with body safe fragrance oil and colored.  But, the fun doesn’t stop there.  Whipped Soap Base has a variety of uses when other ingredients like sugar or melt and pour soap are added to the mix.

Whipped Soap Base can be used to make an array of finished products.  Treat your product line with new delightful body goodies like foaming body frosting, foaming sugar scrubs, whipped shaving creams, and even soap frostings.  The list could go on and on.

To use Natures Garden’s whipped soap base, simply weigh out the amount you need.  Whip it with a hand held mixer.  Add fragrance oil and soap colorants if desired.  Then, easily spoon it right into the jars you are packaging it in.  It really is just that simple.

There are two points that should be mentioned.  When mixing the whipped soap base, you will want to make sure you have a nice deep mixing bowl.  Also, if you selected to scent your whipped soap base with a fragrance oil that has a high vanillin content, you will want to also use Vanilla White Color Stabilizer to help reduce discoloration in your end product.

The finished bath and body products feel incredible!  The luxurious lather leaves your skin feeling moisturized and silky smooth.  And, one of the greatest attributes of this product is that once packaged, it does not extensively deflate over time.

To view any of the recipes using this product, simply click on the links, or view Natures Garden’s website.  In the free recipes and classes area, you will find a variety of recipes and steps to create fabulously fun projects.
