sweet treat scentTooth Fairy Taffy Fragrance Oil Fragrance Oil Spotlight

Thoughts of a major sweet tooth come to mind with this sweet treat fragrance oil.  This beautiful aroma is a full and robust combination of berries, sugars, citrus, bubblegum, and musk.  Tooth Fairy Taffy scent is all the sweetness you can handle in your finished homemade products and more.  Our customers state this fragrance oil smells awesome in everything!  Plus, it is a big hit with the kiddies and those that are young at heart.  As a matter of fact, many of our customers say not only is this scent “very yummy” but it flies off the shelves!

What does Tooth Fairy Taffy Fragrance Oil smell like?

This fragrance oil by Natures Garden is a luscious blend of confectionary Sugar paired with Fruit Syrup of Wild Berry, Orange Crush, Black Cherry & Tangerine which are molded into Vanilla Taffy to create a sweet tooth, Bubble Gum dream! An NG Original Fragrance!

How do our customers use Tooth Fairy Taffy Fragrance Oil?

For candle crafters and home scenters; this fragrance oil is used in Joy wax, WOW wax, and in Soy waxes, all with a scent throw that seems to last forever!  As for home scenting ideas; this sweet treat fragrance oil works great in oil burners, and has been used to make smelly jellies and aroma beads.

On the bath and body end of products, the usage rate for this fragrance oil is 5%.  However, Tooth Fairy Taffy scent does contain a 3.5% vanillin content, so vanilla white color stabilizer is highly recommended to stabilize discoloration in your finished products.  As for body products, this sweet treat scent is also used to make homemade: lotions, melt and pour soaps, foaming body frostings, body butters, creams, solid perfumes, bath bombs, and sugar scrubs.  Finally, for those of you that are cold process soapers, this fragrance soaps like a dream.  Here are the official results:  Perfect Pour.  Soaps great!  No acceleration, discolors to a beige. Scent holds well.

How to Properly Exfoliate

lip scrub

When you are exfoliating your body from head to toe, don’t forget about your lips! Using a lip scrub like Natures Gardens Natural Sugar Lip Scrub will do the trick at leaving your lips completely soft and kissable; to match the rest of your freshly exfoliated body.

How to Properly Exfoliate

In order to keep your skin looking healthy and radiant, exfoliation must be done; especially as we age.  The keys to remember here are to have an exfoliating tool like a loofah or wash cloth, your exfoliating scrubs (one for body, one for face) and moisturizer ready.

The best time to start the exfoliation process is before a shower or bath.  By rubbing down your body before getting it wet, you will be able to remove dead skin cells, therefore allowing the new skin cells to be cleaned and pores unclogged.

Never exfoliate if you have skin that is sunburned, areas with cuts, or open wounds.  Exfoliating these areas will be very painful for you.

If you are interested in making some great exfoliants for your skin, check out Natures Garden’s Scrub Recipes for some awesome do it yourself scrubs containing some great exfoliants.

Steps for Exfoliating Your Skin:

1. Using a loofah (for oily skin), wash cloth (for sensitive skin), exfoliating gloves (for normal skin), or bath pouf; wipe your body down from head to toe.  This should occur before you step into your shower or bath.  The goal of this step is to remove or loosen any dead skin cell in order to properly exfoliate your skin.  In order to properly exfoliate the soles of your feet, you may want to use a pumice stone since typically the skin here is much harder.  This is done in a circular motion, and be careful not to press to hardly.

2.  Next, step into the tub and wet your body.

3.  Then, apply your exfoliating body wash or scrub to your exfoliating medium (loofah, cloth, gloves, etc).  When you are ready to start washing your body, you will want to do this is a small circular motion.  Although it is not necessary, using a body brush is the easiest way to exfoliate those hard to reach places of your body.  If you are exfoliating your face too, make sure you use a facial exfoliant.  Body exfoliants and facial exfoliants vary in the amount of gentleness for your skin.

4.  When you are ready to rinse, use lukewarm water.  Once all of the cleanser/lather is rinsed off, you will want to do one more final rinse with the coldest temperature water that you can take.  Using the cold water will help to close your pores that were just exfoliated.

5.  Finally, step out of the tub and immediately apply your body lotion.  You still want your skin to be damp.  Since you just exfoliated, you will want to make sure it is a moisturizing lotion.  Since exfoliating your body can be drying process, you want to make sure you are allowing your skin to stay healthy and hydrated.

A great body lotion recipe which is very healthy for your skin is Natures Gardens Shea Lotion with Herbal Infusion.  The herbs used in this recipe are rich in skin loving benefits.

One of the best facial cream recipes is Natures Gardens Natural Facial Night Cream.  This cream also has super nutrient herbs that are wonderfully healthy for your face.

Happy Exfoliating!

300x300customer favoritesFragrance Oils – Customer Favorites

When you are working in this industry regardless of whether you are making candles, room fresheners, soaps, or bath and body products; one thing is for certain:  the fragrance oils that you select to put into your products are very important.  And, when you are looking for that special fragrance oil to use in your recipe, where do you start?  Currently, Natures Garden carries almost 800 different fragrance oils.  So, in order to help you on your quest, we turned to the experts.   Are you curious to know what fragrance oils top the charts?

Well, we recently asked our customers on the Natures Garden Facebook Fan Page what their favorite fragrance oil is that Natures Garden carries.  The results were quite amazing.  Many people not only voted for their favorite fragrance oil, but also included their best selling fragrance oils as well.    Talk about one spectacular blog post here.

So, without further adieu; the results have been tallied and here are the most popular fragrance oils at Natures Garden Candle and Soap Supply.

pink sugar fragrance oil#1  Pink Sugar Fragrance Oil      A Best Seller!  Natures Garden’s rendition of Pink Sugar Type. A fruity blend of cotton candy, lemon drops, caramel and raspberry jam on a dry down of musks.

  What Customers Have To Say:

“I love this.  We make whipped body butters & whipped sugar scrubs & a customer asked if we could make a butter/scrub in Pink Sugar & I am so happy I picked to order this scent from NG because it is my new favorite!!  The customer that asked for the scent brought me over the Real Pink Sugar perfume & we could not tell the difference.  Great job NG it’s right on!!  Order the biggest bottle guys :)”

“This fragrance is awesome in my candles!  Customers love it with its sweet, cotton candy, warm, subtle aroma.  It has a great hot and cold throw and is a dead on dupe of Aqualina’s Pink Sugar.”

black raspberry vanilla fragrance oil
#2  Black Raspberry & Vanilla Fragrance Oil
A Best Seller!  An enticing blend of blackberries and raspberries, with middle notes of white floral greenery, and bottom notes of musk and vanilla.  Highly requested fragrance!

  What Customers Have To Say:

“This fragrance is amazing!  It is super easy to CP and the scent just keeps going.  Men and women both like it.”

“This scent smelled so good out of the bottle that I had to use it first.  I make soy wax candles, but this scent alone has me thinking… I pretty much want EVERYTHING to smell like this fragrance.  It’s soft and strong and has a luxurious quality to it.  The scent throw is great in soy wax but like I said, I would expand on it a bit more. It smells like it belongs in perfumes or lotions or soaps.”

bite me fragrance oil
#3  Bite Me Fragrance Oil
An NG Original Fragrance!  Dracula would fall in love with this fragrance! Fresh citrus notes of lime and orange sparkle with effervescent highlights as they lead to a luscious blend of berry and cherry in this playful scent. Leafy green accents add intensity as a base of vanilla creates sweet tones for the fragrance.

  What Customers Have To Say:

“This scent is fabulous.  I love the little extra “bite” it has to it.  So hard to find a cherry-strong scent that doesn’t smell like medicine.  But Whoa, this scent is take-your-breath-away fantastic.  Works fantastic in everything I have tried it in – lotions, spritz, perfume, tarts.  One of my all time favorites!”

“I took this soap to a party last weekend and passed it around to see if others could “name that smell”. The consensus was “Smarties”! It has a lip lickin” sweetness to it that is dead on to how smarties or sweet tarts smell. This soap immediately sold old.”

df-701#4  Loving Spell Fragrance Oil
A Best Seller! An absolutely tantalizing fragrance composed of sweet bouquet of mandarin orange, bergamot, and tangerine enhanced by hints of fresh peaches, strawberries, and raspberries on an undertone of white musk. Imaginative and very complex! Compare NG Loving Spell Type fragrance to VS Love Spell.  Natures Garden is in no way affiliated with VS.  Our fragrance is not identical, just similar.

  What Customers Have To Say:

“This smells just like V.S love spell.  Best seller in our whipped body butters & whipped sugar scrubs.  I use to be a customer best customer @ V.S but now Ill never go back!!  Thanks to NG for making a dead on Love Spell FO.  I only wish I knew much, much sooner…Order huge one!!

“I bought this FO for a customer request and she was thrilled! I am not familiar with VS Love Spell, but my customer told me my candles smelled dead-on! She even motioned for her husband to walk over and she held the candle up to his nose (making sure to cover the label so he couldn’t read what fragrance it was) and asked him what it smelled like, and his response was…”Love Spell, my favorite!”

dragons blood fragrance oil
#5  Dragon’s Blood
Fragrance Oil    A Best Seller!  Smells just like the essential oil. Dragon’s blood truly has a smell all its own.

  What Customers Have To Say:

“This is one of the best dragon’s blood scents I have ever smelled in my life! It’s outstanding and very true to its scent! It holds up amazingly in candles (soon to be testing it in CP soap)! I love love LOVE this scent!”

“I made CP soap with this and it was perfect.  I was able to do swirling and multiple colors with ease.  The scent is out of this world amazing.  It is a warm smell with a sweet tinge to it and an air of incense and heady musk.  I liked it so much that I used some in my oil burner too and the house smelled awesome.  A little goes a long way!”

The next 5 fragrance oils all tied to fill the top 10 customer favorite fragrance oils.  They are in no particular order.

df-7772Lemon Sugar Fragrance Oil     A Fresh Duplication.  Remember the taste of childhood lemonhead candy? This fragrance takes it up a notch with citrus top notes of real lemon, and warm base notes of vanilla and sugar.

  What Customers Have To Say:

“The lemon in this fragrance really pops!  It behaves very well in CP (did leopard spots with it!), with a very bright and happy fragrance.”

“This scent smells great in every base. A variety of age group customers like this scent. Smells great in Melt and pour bases.”

fresh brewed coffee
Fresh Brewed Coffee Fragrance Oil
A Best Seller!  The aroma of strong black fresh brewed Arabica coffee beans. This is our original fresh brewed coffee fragrance.  Coffee fragrances do have base notes of vanilla in them, which may smell somewhat chocolately.

What Customers Have To Say:

“This fragrance smells just like coffee. I got it for my husband who LOVES coffee, and kept after me to make a coffee scented candle. I’m not a coffee drinker myself, so it’s not my favorite scent, but it DOES smell just like the coffee he makes EVERY morning! If you are a coffee lover, this is for you.”

“Great seller for me. Sticks in CP, not strong OOB though. Scent really comes out as it cures.”

green apple explosion
Green Apple Explosion Fragrance Oil     An NG Original Fragrance!  We believe we have quite possibly found the “spunkiest” green apple fragrance on earth!  We thought about calling it Granny Smith Apple, but this fragrance deserves a name that “pops” just like its aroma.  Thus, may we present:  Green Apple Explosion! Fragrance.

What Customers Have To Say:

“I had a customer asking for a green apple candle and boy was she beyond pleased with this one. The throw in the soy has been great hot and cold. This is one that I must keep at all times.”

“This is absolutely one of my favs! A top seller for kids soaps as well as melts. This scent is tart but a bit sweet too! Very strong. I will never be without this scent in my inventory! So glad I found it. NEVER GET RID OF THIS SCENT NG !!!”

monkey farts fragrance oil
Monkey Farts Fragrance
A Best Seller!

Oh what a treat! We know you are expecting to read a disgusting description, but this unique complex fragrance is anything but disgusting! This unique fragrance begins with top notes of fresh bananas and juicy grapefruit, middle notes of kiwi, juicy bubblegum, and strawberries; and a hint of vanilla as a base note. Sure to attract new customers!

What Customers Have To Say:

“This is easily the most popular scent of everything I have. It’s requested frequently as much for the name as the scent! The fragrance is bubblegum banana fruity fun and is nice and strong in MP soap, lotion, scrubs, and in soy wax tarts. Great all around scent and a wonderful soap/product to have at a show. Just watch the people giggle and whisper when they notice the name. ;)”

“My #1 all time seller. A+++ in, bubble bars, CP soap, Bath salts, Bath bombs..EVERYTHING. I can’t keep it in stock, no really. Soaps like a dream, scent sticks, easy to color, stays nice and light in color. Even the guy’s love this one. JUST PERFECTION ALL THE WAY. THANK YOU N.G.!”

What Customers Have To Say:

“Can’t get enough of this scent! Spot on dupe for LUSH “Honey I Washed the Kids”. No discoloration or acceleration in CP.”

“I would give this 10 stars if I could! A perfect dupe of Lush’s Honey I Washed The Kids. Did fantastic in Pillar of Bliss wax for tarts, and got a couple drops on my arm and I smelled heavenly all day. Going to order a huge bottle for loofah soaps and other bath and body products.”

A Passion for Crafting Everyday

fragrance oilsWhat’s your name & Your Company Name:  My name is Michelle Pitzer and my company name is Natural Creations by Shell

I love to create and craft anything and everything I can get my hands on! I started making m&p soaps years ago because I wanted to try my hands at something new and I fell in love! It first started as just another fun hobby, then gifts for family and friends, and occasionally selling around Christmas time. Over the last year I have decided this is it and I have now been working on doing more craft shows and really trying to make this a full time business. I am making so much more than m&p and hand scrubs now, I’ve added a whole line of bath & body treats, candles, and many of the other crafts I enjoy making such as bookmarks, cat toys, and yarn wreaths. My passion for this seems to grow more and more each and everyday. I put great care and love in each and every product that I make. I would like to eventually have a little store with a workshop and hold classes as well. Coming across your website has helped spark the creativity! My favorite Natures Garden product is the Pillar of Bliss Wax, I love all the fragrance oils I’ve tried, aroma beads, herbs, lip balm base & flavorings, m&p’s, and the jars are just some of my favorite NG items!

Why did you decide to go into business?  What was your motivation?  How long have you been in business?  My mother (Kathy) and I started our business in 2008 and originally only sold botanical supplies. We experimented with using those botanicals in bath products and the rest is history. This month marks our 5th year in business and going strong!

What products do you make and sell?  We still sell a wide variety of botanicals along with bar soap, whipped soap, our signature Bubble Crumbles™ bubble bath, bath crystals, body mist, sugar scrub, whipped soap, lip “quenchies”, tub truffles, bath bombs and more! We’re always adding new products to our lineup to keep things interesting.

What are your business goals?  Primarily, we’ll be focusing on expanding our presence in retail stores. We’ve got a few other things in the works but we have to keep those secret – for now!

fragrance oils1. What is your name and Your Company Name: Marlene Nicosia/Spa Girl

2. Why did you decide to go into business? What was your motivation? How long have you been in business? Meeting at a crossroad several years ago with decreasing demand for what I had been doing for the previous 35+ years (medical transcription), and also going to be relocating to the Chicago area as my daughter was having a baby and I would be full-time babysitter, I met with a couple of ladies who had successful soap companies and was awestruck by the concept of making handmade soaps from oils and lye. I had always been in love with essential oils and natural products and this was a perfect fit. I began my journey in 2009 into handmade. Although I have seemed to find my niche with bath bombs, my goal is to continue to add a KidSpa and SpaPure line that is fragrance-free with natural colorants, essential oils and beneficial clays.

3. What products do you make and sell? Bath bombs, luxury soaps, Kids Spa line including sugar scrubs, cupcake soaps, bubble bombs, glycerin soaps.

4. What are your business goals? We are working on our website and hope to have it ready in the next few weeks. I would also like to establish wholesale accounts for handmade soaps including our SpaPure natural line of products.

5. What are some products you use from Natures Garden? What are your favorite products from Natures Garden? I love the products, pricing and service from Natures Garden. We carry over 50 fragrance oils from Natures Garden. I love to check out the Best Sellers section and know when I’m adding them to my line; they are guaranteed to be received well by my customers and will become my best sellers. I have purchased soap molds, soap making supplies, and always pick up a few new fragrances with every order.

2. Why did you decide to go into business? What was your motivation? How long have you been in business?  We went into business as a result of our own family’s skin issues. We noticed that in commercially produced products the ingredients are often times harmful and contain small amounts of ingredients which are beneficial to your skin. We have been in business for 10 years.

1.  What’s your name & Your Company Name:  My name is Jennifer Snyder and I own JS Homespun Creations.

2.  Why did you decide to go into business?  What was your motivation?  How long have you been in business?  I have always been a creative and crafty person.  I started making gift baskets and party favors, which slowly turned into making my own candles to put into those gift baskets I was making.  I soon figured out that the gift basket biz was for a special kind of customer and not for an every day customer, so I decided to focus my attention on just making candles.  I also make soap and other bath & body products, which started with a lot of research and reading about herbs, oils, and pre-made bases.  JS Homespun Creations was born in the Fall of 2010, and this year will be my 3rd year selling at local craft shows.  I participate in about 20 craft shows a year.

3.  What products do you make and sell?  I make soy candles, handcraft soaps, and natural bath & body products, like scrubs, lotions, and bath bombs.

4.  What are your business goals?  For this year, my business goals would be more advertising and sales.  I live in a small town, so getting my name out there has been at the top of my list.  A big dream of mine, as I’m sure with most crafters, is to one day open my own shop.

5.  What are some products you use from Natures Garden?  Oh my goodness, I probably can keep NG in business!  It’s become my one stop shop for supplies.  From your fragrance oils to your plastic jars.  I love that NG has decided to add the herbs, carrier oils and butters to their product line, it has truly made my life easier!   One of my favorite products is the natural Goat’s Milk soap, I love it and my customers do too!!
