Floating Noah’s Ark Soap Recipe

We are having a staff challenge here at Natures Garden.  For this challenge, we have asked each staff member to choose one of their favorite Natures Garden’s fragrance oils and create a project pertaining to that fragrance.  Creativity is highly encouraged, using the knowledge they have learned while working at Natures Garden.  This week’s staff challenge was done by Marsha!  Marsha has only worked at Natures Garden for a few months, and her project this week was heaven sent.

If there is one thing that Marsha is extremely proud of, it is her family.  Marsha says she “has the greatest kids ever!”  But, besides being a mom, she especially loves being a Grammy.  Currently, Marsha is a Grammy to one special little guy, but is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the two little ones on the way.  Both babies are due before the end of this year.  Needless to say, she is bursting with excitement at their quickly approaching arrival dates.

One of the most interesting things about Marsha is the fact that she met her husband in prison.  She opens her interview with that line, and you look at her, eyes widened at that statement, and think what did she go to prison for?  But, don’t worry, she spent 30 years working for the prisons in administration.  She and her husband both are love birds, not jail birds.  noahs-ark-soap1

marsha1When it comes to free time, Marsha had more than she could handle after retiring from the prison scene.  Although she spends as much time with her family and grandchild as possible, she was seeking a fun company to work for.  That is how she came to be working for Natures Garden.  And, we at Natures Garden love having her as apart of our crew.

For her words of wisdom, Marsha says she has learned a lot over the years.  The one thing she would like to share is, “Let problems roll off your back.”  She advices that keeping things in, weighs your down, and you miss out of so much in life.”

When it came time for Marsha’s Spotlight Creation, Marsha wanted to make something for her grandson to use in the bath.  She also knew she wanted something to do with  Noah’s Ark.  She loved the concept of a Floating Noah’s Ark Soap and used her creativity to make it happen.  She can’t wait until he sees it.

Fresh Fallen Leaves Soap Recipe

This entry was posted in autumn soap recipe, soap fragrances, Soap making supplies, soap molds, soap recipe and tagged , , , , , , , , , , on by .

We are currently in week 4 of the Natures Garden staff member challenge.  Everyone is excitedly working on their creative projects at Natures Garden and they are having a blast creating them.  For the challenge, each staff member has to come up with their own recipe using Natures Garden supplies.  The project has to be made with one of their favorite Natures Garden fragrance oils, and they are encouraged to be as creative as possible.  Melissa was the fourth staff member to partake in the challenge, and her recipe is what she calls: Fresh Fallen Leaves Soap.

Melissa has been a customer service representative for Natures Garden for years.  She is quite possibly one of the happiest and outgoing people around.  She is bursting with positivity and cheerfulness, and she is always willing to help.  Melissa loves people, especially those that are different than her.  Melissa says she likes to see things from others’ perspective.  It opens her eyes to new experiences she might have missed out on.autumn-soap1

melissa picAs for her other loves, Melissa loves shopping and finding good deals!  Her first addiction is zebra, as well as zebra print, although she admits some call her love for zebra an obsession.  This is followed closely by her love of shoes.  This girly girl is currently sitting on 150 (yes that is 150) different pairs of shoes!  Melissa’s third addiction is coffee.

In her spare time, Melissa loves to ski.  She has been skiing her whole life.  She also has a passion for singing.  Melissa openly admits that she can not sing well, but radiantly says, “if I turn the radio up loud enough, no one know the difference.”  Going hand in hand, another thing that Melissa loves to do is dance in the rain.  She has even been known to dance in the rain in the parking lot outside of Natures Garden.

Melissa’s inspiration for her spotlight creation project was her love of autumn.  Besides loving the bold and beautiful colors of a northeastern fall, she adores dressing up for Halloween.

Melissa’s motto for life is:  “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain.

I’m TUBBI, aka( Jacqueline); my customers cursed me with that name! LOL! I run a small business called TUBBILICIOUS! We make the Best organic & natural tub treats! I’m SUPER new to your company! I recently made my first purchase about 2 weeks ago, and since that point haven’t stopped! We have incorporated many of your products into our recipes, including using your molds. We have only been open about 7 months, and are about to hit our 900th  sale! Whoo hoo! I intend on growing in many new ways with the new found opportunity of having such a wide variety of products from your company at my fingertips! PLUS I LOVE that you have sampler “teach me kits! ” That’s ALWAYS a nice touch!

I’ve always had a passion for anything that smelled good since I was a child. This all started about a year ago, lol, in my niece’s kitchen no less!  My biggest interest in making my own stuff came from finding alternative ways for people to wind down and relax from the daily stress that life can cause physically & emotionally. I’m a firm believer that a well made, quality  tub Treat can do wonders for the mind, body and attitude. Smells often can trigger memories for people; aromatherapy plays a big part in peoples’ lives, even if they are unaware!

What products do you make and sell?

We make everything! Bath bombs, bubble bars, body wash, scrubs, body sprays etc. We try our best to use all organic & natural products. HOWEVER, we do use Premium grade fragrance oils that have been deemed safe for bath & body use. But the product that seems to have been our #1 seller has been our MONKEY PITTS!  It has EXTREMELY great reviews.. We’ve sold hundreds of jars all over the world.

What are your business goals?

Just to keep it fun I suppose …I love what I do, so That would be MY personal goal.

What are some products you use from Natures Garden; what are your favorite products from Natures Garden?

I’m a new customer, and I’ve been using the molds, SOOO Adorable! Also been using a few fragrance oils. ( Its only been about 2 weeks, I need more shopping time! LOL ) You have SO many things I’d like to incorporated in my work! I have bought sea salts etc.. I have a great plan for the Black Hawaiian Sea salts! But I will get there, it takes time!!
